Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek: Bike Ride & Lovely Words!

For today's Sneak Peek I've got another card that features two new products...Bike Ride stamp set and Lovely Words Thinlits Dies.

The Bike Ride stamp set is a set of 24 images so you can "assemble" your bike with lots of different colors and accessories like a basket, flowers, dog, books and more!  Plus...there are matching Build a Bike Framelits Dies, so no fussy cutting, yay!

The Lovely Words Thinlits Dies I predict are going to be very popular!  They essentially cut a frame shape around a word or snip off to use just the word...clever!  See the sizes below for both the full image and just the words.

Bike Ride Hugs card

  1. Run 4-1/2" x 5-3/8" piece of Berry Burst cardstock through Big Shot with Sparkle Texture Folder.  Adhere to folded 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Berry Burst card base.
  2. Die cut the largest shape from the Lots of Labels Framelit in Very Vanilla.  Cut off one end (approx. 3/4").  Stamp bike & basket images (Bike Ride stamp set) with:  Basic Gray, Berry Burst, Smokey Slate, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight & Wild Wasabi.  Adhere to right edge of card.
  3. Die cut "hugs circle shape" using Lovely Words Thinlit Dies in both Daffodil Delight and Basic Gray cardstock.  Then die cut again around the shape with the 3" circle from Stitched Shaped Framelits Dies.  Adhere both pieces together with Fine Tip Glue Pen.  Then to card with Foam Adhesive Strips.
  4. Attach Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

This card makes me smile.  That bike is such a cute image and had the hugs die cut...so much fun!  Send a hug in the mail and brighten someone's day!

Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek: 2 Cards Pieces & Patterns with New In Colors

For today's Sneak Peek, I have two cards with two new products.  A playful stamp set called Pieces & Patterns, and new 2017-2019 In Colors; Berry Burst & Lemon Lime Twist.  Stampin' Up! Pieces & Patterns stamp set shared by Dawn Olchefske #dostamping

With a little bit of everything and just enough of that something you're looking for, the Pieces & Patterns stamp set lets you mix and match it's pieces to come up with lots of different patterns.  Here's two cards for you...both quick & cute, with the 2nd one a little bit stepped up for a little more fun!

If you like clean and simple (CAS) cards, then this first card is for you!

CAS Pieces & Patterns card

  1. Stamp circle images with Berry Burst ink on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Berry Burst cardstock.  Adhere to folded 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Lemon Lime Twist card base.
  2. Stamp greeting on scrap of Whisper White with Lemon Lime Twist ink.  Punch with 1-3/4" Circle Punch.  Adhere to card with Whisper White Baker's Twine using Stampin' Dimensionals.

If you like quick & cute (QC) cards, then this next card is for you!

QC Pieces & Patterns card

  1. Stamp images with Lemon Lime Twist ink on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.  Adhere to 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Berry Burst cardstock and then to folded 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Lemon Lime Twist card base. 
  2. Cut end of 4" x 5/8" piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock with Triple Banner Punch.  Adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals. 
  3. Stamp greeting on scrap of Whisper White with Berry Burst ink.  Punch with 1-3/4" Circle Punch.  Adhere to card with Whisper White Baker's Twine using Stampin' Dimensionals.  
  4. Place new Glitter Enamel Dots on banner.

Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek: Farmhouse Chic Wood Textures Suite!

May 22, 2017

This week is Sneak Peek week...all about the new 2017/18 Annual Catalog!  Today I have a QC card for you using the Wood Textures Suite products...Wood Words stamp set, Wood Crate Framelit Dies and Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack.  These new products will be available June 1 at noon (MT).

With it's farmhouse chic styling, you can rely on this suite to give you lots of texture and personality!

Stampin' Up! Wood Textures Suite: includes Wood Words stamp set, Wood Crate Framelits Dies, Wood Textures Designer Series Paper shared by Dawn Olchefske #dostamping

Wood Words Hello Friend card

  1. Stamp "stars" image (new Wood Words stamp set) with Pool Party ink on Pool Party 2-3/4" wide oval (Layering Ovals Framelits).  
  2. Adhere a piece of Delicate White Doily (6 scallops) to lower half of oval.  Then adhere to lower right edge of 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Wood Textures DSP Stack (coming a little bit off the right edge) and trim to edge of DSP.   Adhere panel to folded 4-1/4" x 11" Crumb Cake card base.
  3. Stamp rooster with Coral Calypso ink on scrap of Crumb Cake.  Die cut with matching shape from the new Wood Crate Framelits.  
  4. Wrap Linen Thread around 3-fingers to create loops, then pinch together and here to back of rooster with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Adhere rooster card.
  5. Stamp greeting with Early Espresso ink on 2-1/4" x 5/8" strip of So Saffron.  Cut end into banner and adhere to card (tuck under rooster)

Delightful Daisy card - Calypso Coral & Tranquil Tide

  • Adhere (3) Delightful Daisy DSP pieces ( 5-1/4" x 1-5/8", 2-1/4" x 2", 2-1/4" x 3-1/8") on folded 11" x 4-1/4" Thick Whisper White card base.
  • Stamp (2) daisies with Coral Calypso ink on Coral Calypso scraps. Cut out with Daisy Punch and adhere to together, then to card with Glue Dots.  
  • Stamp (2) leaves with new Tranquil Tide ink on white scraps.  Blend color around with Aqua Painter.  Fussy cut out and adhere with glue dots.
  • Stamp greeting with Tranquil Tide Ink and place Gold Faceted Gem in center of flower.

Delightful Daisy card - Night of Navy & Daffodil Delight

  • Adhere (2) Delightful Daisy DSP (1-3/4" x 3", 1-3/4 square) pieces & a 1-3/4" square Daffodil Delight piece on folded 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Then adhere to folded 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Night of Navy card base.
  • Stamp greetings with Night of Navy ink.
  • Stamp (2) daisies with Night of Navy ink on white scraps. Cut out with Daisy Punch.  Blend color around just in the center area of the flowers with an Aqua Painter. Adhere to together with Glue Dots. Place Gold Faceted Gem in center of flower.
  • Fold in half a 6" piece of Crushed Curry 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon.  Adhere to back of flower, then adhere flower to card with Glue Dots.

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #231: QC Birthday Memories Suite Poodle

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  This week we're having a "Sketch Pad" challenge.

I'm so excited to share today's card with you.  First off - I've been a little under the weather the last couple of days.  So this card had to come together fast, as I put it off until this afternoon...yikes!  But you know me...I like QC cards (quick & cute).  With today's sketch, that made the process even quicker.  

Another easy decision was to reach for new product.  All I had to do was hold the sketch up to the few new stamp sets I got on my demonstrator pre-order and it became obvious to me which set to use...Birthday Delivery!

Confession time...when I first saw this set, it didn't really appeal to me.  But after playing with it at On Stage and this afternoon...my, oh my...I think I'm falling in love with it!  Well, at least I'm totally in love with my sketch results...it makes me happy!  Take a look...

Coming June 1st Stampin' Up! Birthday Memories Suite card created by Dawn Olchefske for DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #DSC231 #dostamping

Birthday Memories Suite Poodle QC card

  1. Adhere 4-1/2" x 3" piece of Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper to folded 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base.Soft Suede [115318]
  2. Stamp greeting (Birthday Delivery stamp set) with Soft Suede ink [126978] ink on right end of strip of 1" x 5" Crumb Cake 20953] and adhere to card.
  3. Die cut poodle shape (Birthday Friends Framelit Dies)from DSP & Whisper White cardstock, adhere together so it's a little more sturdy.  Then position (don't adhere yet) on 3-3/4" x 2-1/4" piece of Whisper White[100730].  Eyeball & stamp two Soft Suede balloon strings so the ends come under the poodle (move poodle out of the way first).  Then adhere poodle with Stampin' Dimensionals - covering up the string ends.  Adhere white panel to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals [104430]
  4. Stamp balloons with Soft Suede ink on scrap of white cardstock.  Use Aqua Painters [103954]  to color with Real Red ink [126949].  Die cut with matching die shape and adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals [104430].
  5. Optional, but fun...add Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter [141897] to poodle's fur and on the "hash" lines on the balloons

Retiring: Beetles & Bugs - Caught a Bug?

May 17, 2017

On my gosh...you're in for a treat today.  This super fun card is made with the 2017 Occasions retiring stamp set, Beetles & Bugs.

Keep these creepies and crawlies where they belong: on your stamping projects!  Mix and match layers and colors for all the shuddersome creatures you care to create.  Have fun coming up with your own "bug" greetings!

 Caught a Bug?

  1. On 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock, use images from retiring Beetles & Bugs to stamp bug "outline" with Early Espresso ink.  Stamp 2nd & 3rd step images with Pool Party, (retiring) Delightful Dijon and (retiring) Tip Top Taupe inks.  Adhere to 4" x 5-1/4" panel of Pool Party, then to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Tip Top Taupe card base.
  2. Adhere ribbon to card..3-1/4" piece of Delightful Dijon 5/8" Mini Striped Ribbon and 2-3/4" piece of Pool Party 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon (both retiring).
  3. Loop Linen Thread onto back of Tip Top Taupe 1-7/8" circle (Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies).  Adhere circle to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  4. Create words for greeting using Labeler Alphabet stamp set as follows:
  5. BUG = solid rectangle with Pool Party ink, letters with Delightful Dijon ink
  6. Rest of the words with Tip Top Taupe ink
  7. Cut out each word and adhere to the stitched circle using glue dots.

How to Reserve a Product Share:

NOTE:  There is a process for product shares...collect reservations, send invoices via Paypal, collect payments, place the order, receive shipped order, cut and sort product, repackage product, package up your product share and mail.  The entire process takes approximately two weeks after I place my order with Stampin' Up! (or more depending on backorders from Stampin' Up!)

(*) I use Paypal for all my billing needs.  However, a paypal account is not required to make your payment.  Just an email address and credit/debit card is all you need.  When you receive my paypal invoice, you can choose to pay using your paypal account funds or by credit/debit card.  Just follow their SUPER EASY instructions to make your payment via the method that is most convenient for you.
