DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #246: Ready for Christmas Bundle Ruffled Tree

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Product Spotlight" challenge.

What a fun challenge we have for you this week...Stampin' Up! 3D Dynamic Texture Impressions Embossing Folders. A great excuse to play them.

Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folders take embossing to the next level, with deeper, more detailed impressions than standard embossing folders—great for card fronts and accents.

If you look close, you'll see that I chose to play with the Ruffled 3D Dynamic Texture Impressions Embossing Folder. I used it to add texture to the tree die cut, from Christmas Staircase Thinlits Dies coming September 1. Love the results. Check it out...

Ready for Christmas Bundle card

Use an Aqua Painter to lightly add water to 5-1/2" x 4" piece of Shimmery White Paper - swipe back & forth. Then use Aqua Painter to add Berry Burst ink (I watered it down a bit) - over the saturated area for a color wash look. Let dry.
Stamp greeting (from Ready for Christmas stamp set) with Berry Burst ink. Adhere to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Berry Burst card base.
Wrap Berry Burst 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding around card front and tie in a bow. Position to the left.
Die cut Old Olive tree (Christmas Staircase Thinlits Dies). Place tree in Ruffled 3D Dynamic Texture Impressions Embossing Folder, and run through Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. NOTE: as 3D Dynamic Folders are thicker, only one standard cutting pad is required (not two). Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Cut 3/4" x 1/2" piece of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack and adhere to just under tree.
Stamp ornaments with Basic Black Archival Ink. Color with Aqua Painter using Berry Burst & Old Olive Inks. Die cut with matching shape. Arrange and adhere to tree with Glue Dots.
Die cut Gold Glimmer Paper star - adhere to tree with Glue Dots.

Holiday Catalog Transition, QC Snowflake Sentiments Sneak Peek

Get a head start on your Christmas cards this year with today's quick & cute card using one of my Holiday Catalog favorites...Snowflake Sentiments stamp set (coming Friday, 9/1)

The fonts used in the Snowflake Sentiments stamp set really appeal to me. They'll fit with both cute & pretty cards...a must-have for this season!

Snowflakes Sentiments QC card

Adhere 5-1/2" x 3-3/4" piece of Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper to 5-1/2" x 4" piece of Basic Black. Then adhere to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Old Olive card base.
Stamp greeting (from Snowflake Sentiments) with Versamark ink on 3" square of Old Olive cardstock. Cover with White Stampin' Emboss Powder and melt with Heat Tool. After cooling, die cut using Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies - 2-3/8" circle. Adhere to 2-1/2" Basic Black scallop circle (from Layering Circles Framelits Dies.
Wrap Basic Black Solid Bakers Twine around your hand 2-3 times. Pull off and pinch together in the middle. Adhere to back of sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere to card with more Stampin' Dimensionals.
Attach Black Rhinestone Jewels.

Two For Tuesday: Card Front Builder Thinlits Birthday & Christmas

It's Two For Tuesday (TFT)! Today's cards feature the early release Card Front Builder Thinlit Dies.

As a Minnesota girl, I'm completely in love with the deer and tree images. Even though this set was designed for the holidays, it makes for a great masculine birthday card too, which was a huge hit at my class last week. Check it out!

Happy Birthday Card Front Builder

Adhere 3" x 3" piece of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack to 3-1/8" x 4" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.
Stamp greeting (from Guy Greetings stamp set) in lower right corner with Early Espresso ink.
Wrap Linen Thread around twice and tie in a bow. Adhere to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Early Espresso card base.
Use Big Shot and Card Front Builder Thinlits Dies to die cut trees (Garden Green) and deer (Early Espresso). Adhere to card front with SNAIL, Stampin' Dimensionals & Mini Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #245: Country Livin' Guitar!

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Home Sweet Home" challenge.

Stampin' Up!'s Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack was a perfect choice for this week's photo inspiration challenge. It's paired with the guitar image from the Country Livin' stamp set. Plus is bursting with copper accents! Take a look...

Country Livin' Guitar card

Stamp greeting (from Better Together stamp set) with Versamark ink on 4" x 5-1/2" panel of Very Vanilla. Cover with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder. Remove excess and melt with Heat tool.
Apply Year of Cheer Washi Tape (coming 9/1) to left edge of panel. Adhere panel to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Thick Very Vanilla card base.
Die cut three Stitched Shapes Framelits circles (1-7/8")
1. Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack
2. Very Vanilla cardstock = stamped with Sheet Music background stamp using Archival Basic Black ink
3. Copper Foil = run through Big Shot with Oh My Stars Texture Impressions Embossing Folder
Arrange all 3 circles on card front. Before adhering, loop Copper Thread around four fingers 3 to 4 times. Remove and pinch together in the middle and adhere to card with SNAIL adhesive. Then adhere circles.
Stamp guitar image (from Country Livin' stamp set) with Archival Basic Black ink on lighter wood tone piece from Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack. Use Paper Snips to cut out. Then adhere to card with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals
Adhere Metallic Sequins (copper) with Fine Tip Glue Pen

I'm giddy with the way this card turned out. If you have a guitar player or musician in your life...I'm sure they would be delighted to receive a card like this.

Give Country Livin' a try! The Sheet Music background stamp is the perfect match as well. Be sure to add both to your Shopping Bag!

Quick & Cute Message in a Bottle

As promised, here's another quick & cute card for you using Stampin' Up!'s Message in a Bottle stamp set. Sometimes you just want to check-in with someone to say, "hi" or that you're are "thinking of them". This card will do just swimmingly!

You Octopi My Thoughts QC card

On 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamp Message in a Bottle images.
1. octopus = Rich Razzleberry
2. greeting = Bermuda Bay
Adhere panel to 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock, then adhere to folded 11" x 4-1/4" Thick Whisper White card base
Adhere Pool Party sequins (Iridescent Sequin Assortment) with Fine Tip Glue Pen

Sometimes you don't need to overthink a card. Are they water bubbles or thought bubbles? You decide!
