Display Stamper Blog Hop Day#4: Cake Soiree & Silver Mini Gable Box

We're at the half-way point of the Display Stamper Blog Hop - Day #4. Today I'm sharing a couple of my favorite projects using the Cake Soiree stamp set and Silver Mini Gable Box, from the upcoming 2018 Occasions Catalog (starts Jan 3).
First off - I was happy to see these adorable Mini Silver Gable Boxes for my assignment. I didn't want to just add some DSP and a tag. I wanted to do something unexpected. I thought, "What if I silver embossed on the boxes...how would that look?" Oh my gosh...it looked awesome! See for yourself...
Even though these were hard to photograph, I think you get the idea on how beautiful these projects turned out. Here's my thoughts on the Silver Mini Gable Boxes:
- They come flat and easy to put fold up.
- The greeting and floral image are from the new Cake Soriee stamp set
- As you can see, the embossing turned out wonderfully...give it a try! (I used Versamark and Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder)
- For embossing - be sure to use the embossing buddy first.
- These would be great for gift packaging, treats boxes at a wedding/shower, even centerpieces.
- You might be wondering about the beautiful rich looking ribbon...that's new too. It's Berry Burst 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon and I'm in love!!
With the box done, I had to make a matching card. This photo does not do it justice - it's gorgeous in real life! The silver embossing is done on Silver Foil Sheets and Berry Burst cardstock (Layering Oval Framelits for the window). The new Berry Burst 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon adds the finishing touch

- Other: Berry Burst 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon, Silver Baker's Twine, Silver Mini Sequin Trim, Heat Tool, Big Shot, Layering Oval Framelits, 1-1/2" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch
- Tip: Don't forget to use the Embossing Buddy [103083] before you stamp and emboss!
