Two for Thursday: Merry Cafe Love Cards

It's Two For Thursday - it's a thing (ha!). I have two Valentine's Day cards to share using the soon-to-be-retiring Merry Cafe stamp set . One card is done with traditional Valentine's Day colors and the other is done with the Coffee Break Suite of products.

Whether for Halloween, the holiday season, cheering up a friend or Valentine's Day, the Merry Cafe set has it all! And even better...it coordinates with the popular Coffee Cups Framelits Dies!

Paper:
- Powder Pink (11" x 4-1/4" card base and scrap for tag)
- Real Red (3-7/8" x 5-1/8", 4" x 5-1/4" and scraps for hearts)
- Very Vanilla (scraps for coffee cup/lid)

Ink: Versamark, Garden Green (coffee cup)
Heat Emboss: Ink coffee lid image with Versamark ink, then with Garden Green ink. Stamp on Garden Green cardstock. Cover with clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. Remove excess and melt with Heat Tool
Other: Big Shot, Coffee Cup Framelits (cup, lid, holder), Stitched Shape Framelits (2-7/8" circle), Garden Green Ribbon, White Baker's Twine, Clear Emboss Powder, Heat Tool & Stampin' Dimensionals
Tip: For some added texture, instead of stamping coffee lid with Garden Green ink on Garden Green cardstock, heat emboss the image. The added element of heat embossing adds a nice little pop!

Two for Wednesday: Mr & Mrs Cards

It's Two For Wednesday (I'm kind of making a week of it!) Today I have a couple of wedding cards for you. One classic with Cheers to the Year stamp set and one fun with the Wonderful Life stamp set!

How'd She DO That tips for Mr. & Mrs. Cheers Card:

Stamps: Cheers to the Year
Paper:
- Smoky Slate (11" x 4-1/4" card base)
- Whisper White (for 2" punch)
- Vellum (4" x 5-1/2")
Ink: Smoky Slate, Archival Basic Black
Other: 2” Circle, Foil Snowflakes, Silver 3/8” Metallic-Edge Ribbon, Black Mini Sequin Trim, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals & Stapler
Tips:
- Stamp "Mr & Mrs" diagonally across the front of the folded card. If needed, use a ruler as a guide.
- Adhere Foil Snowflake to Vellum. Staple ribbon & sequin trim to snowflake & vellum.
- On back side of vellum, add snail adhesive only where the snowflake is, then adhere to stamped card front.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone! Enjoy this beautiful take on a classic Christmas motif. Let the Magi and the star shine bright on your Christmas card this Christmas day! I hope you're spending this special day with loved ones.

Measurements:

Tranquil Tide (4-1/4" x 11" card base)
Fresh Fig (2-7/8" x 5-1/2")
Very Vanilla (1" x 4-1/4")
Gold Foil (1/4" x 5-1/2")

Tip:

Fold the gold ribbon in half and staple it down to the Very Vanilla banner.
Then loop the tassel through one side of the ribbon and tie a knot.

- Cherry Cobbler (5" x 7" card base, 5" x 8-1/2" box, 5" x 1/2")
- Garden Green (scraps)
- Thick Whisper White (5" x 3-1/2", scraps)
- Be Merry Designer Series Paper (5" x 3-1/2" and two pieces of 1/2" x 1-1/8")
Ink: Stamp bird image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, color in with Stampin' Blends-Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake and Pool Party.
Heat Emboss: Ink sentiments with Versamark ink, stamp on cardstock. Cover with clear Stampin' Emboss Powder. Remove excess and melt with Heat Tool
Other: Big Shot, Stitched Shapes Framelits (2nd smallest circle, 2nd largest oval), Starburst Punch, Cherry Cobbler Double Stitched Ribbon, Stitched Felt Embellishments, Tear & Tape, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals
Tip:
- Box measurement depends on the size of your candy box, for this one I used 5" x 8-1/2", score at 3-1/2", 4-1/4", 7-3/4", 8" (wrap around box and adhere ends together with Tear & Tape).
- Card measurement is 5" x 7", score in half at 3-12" (adhere to box with Tear & Tape).

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #261: Petal Palette Bundle Thank You

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Home Sweet Home" challenge.

There's lots to choose from this week's photo inspiration: birds, color combo, polka dots, stripes, glasses, packaging and more! I chose to focus on the birds and a couple of the colors. Here's what I came up with using the upcoming Petal Palette Bundle (coming Jan 3, 2018)...

How'd She DO That?... tips for Petal Palette Bundle card:

Stamps: Petal Palette
Paper:
- Whisper White (11" x 4-1/4" card base, scraps for bird die cut and 2-3/8" circle)
- Pool Party: (4" x 5-1/4")
- Basic Black (scrap for die cut)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
Stampin' Blends: Cherry Cobbler Combo Pack, Pool Party Combo Pack (color circle with light above branch and dark below the branch)
Other: Big Shot, Petals & More Thinlits Dies, Stitched Shapes Framelits (2-3/8" circle), Whisper White Bakers Twine, Basic Rhinestone Jewels & Stampin' Dimensionals
Tips:
- Place a strip of Stampin' Dimensionals "edges" in the center of the 2-3/8" circle to adhere black detailed die cut. Place a Stampin' Dimensional at the top and bottom of the circle, then adhere to card.
- Attach length of twine with a stapler, then tie in a bow.
- Color Rhinestone with light Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends
