DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #289: Broadway Bound

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Sketch Pad" challenge.
As it's Day #4 of my Broadway Bound Suite Week - I reached for the adorable little shapes included with the Broadway Lights Framelits Dies. Specifically, the ice cream cone, diamond shapes and party hat.
I took my cue from today's sketch, but was also inspired by the cute sample in the 2018-19 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog (pg 68 - pink tag on the package in the lower right corner).
How'd She DO That? tips for Birthday Medallion card:
- Stamps: Broadway Birthday (bundle with Broadway Lights Framelits to save 10%)
- Paper:
- Whisper White Thick (11" x 4-1/4" card base, 1/4" x 2-1/2" greeting strip, scrap for ice cream)
- Lovely Lipstick (scrap for 2-5/8" Stitched Shape Framelits square)
- Basic Black (scrap for Starburst Punch)
- Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper (5" x 1-1/2" - red, scrap of party hat)
- Gold Foil (scrap for cone & diamonds)
- Ink: Jet Black Stazon - cone, Lovely Lipstick - ice cream (stamp off) & greeting)
- Other: Big Shot, Broadway Lights Framelits Dies, Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Basic Black 1/2" Satin, Ribbon, Candle Embellishments, Fine Tip Glue, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals
I recommend stamping and die cutting all of the little pieces first. That is actually when I discovered the party hat die matches the party hats on one of the sheets of the Broadway Bound Specialty Designer Series Paper - wahoo!
Then one final touch that is hard to see in the photo...I added a little bit of shimmer to the ice cream with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter brush. It looks yummy in real life! Ooh - you could slip in a gift card to their favorite ice cream shop...yum!
