Healing Hugs: Card Cutting Trick

Today's project feature's a new stamp set called Healing Hugs. It's a "Distinktive" stamp which allows different shading to come through a single stamped image for a photo-realistic flower (scroll down to learn more about this stamp set.)
When making this card, I wanted to create a simple but unique card front. It needed to be easy, as I was making 26 of them for a swap. So here's what I came up with...
DOstamping Card Cutting Trick:
- After folding a 11" x 4-1/4" card base in half, I trimmed off 3-1/4" from the front (at the time, I just eye-balled that measurement).
- Then I thought, "how can I incorporate the cut-off piece into my card?"
- As the cut-off piece now measured 4-1/4" x 3-1/4", I cut a piece of white to 4" x 3", stamped and layer them together.
- That layer is adhere to the left side of the card only, with Stampin' Dimensionals
- It was exactly what I had in my head and worked out perfectly (which doesn't always happen)

- Rich Razzleberry (11" x 4-1/4" card base, score at 5-1/2", then trim off 3-1/4" from the card front - save)
- Whisper White (4" x 5-1/2" inside, 3" x 4", scrap for punch)
- Gray Granite (4-1/4" x 3/4")
- Ink: Rich Razzleberry
- Other: Tailored Tag Punch, Tea Room Combo Pack Ribbon & Stampin' Dimensionals
