October 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit: Last of Friends of a Feather Alternates

November 19, 2018

I can't get enough of the Friends of a Feather October Paper Pumpkin Kit!

I was determined to use up the entire kit before the November kit arrives....and I finished them up last week. Here's my last two ideas (plus one from a team member)...

Friends Stick Together Note Card

Trim off the Fresh Fig panel from the 3-panel note card (save for card below)
Adhere 3-3/8" x 4-7/8 piece of Night of Navy cardstock under card front with glue dots (in the 4 corners and the "label" area)
Adhere Night of Navy label to card front (from kit).
Stamp greeting with Night of Navy ink on blue flowered label (from kit). Add SNAIL adhesive to backside. Don't attach yet
Wrap Silver Metallic Thread around 4 fingers, 4-5 times, then press into the adhesive. Add Stampin' Dimensionals and adhere to card front.
Attach two Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Hope Note Card

Trim down the Fresh Fig panel, saved from the 3- panel card - to 3-3/8" x 4-7/8"
Adhere feather & leaf (from kit) with glue dots
Stamp greeting with Fresh Fig ink on scrap of Whisper White. Cut with Pretty Label Punch. Adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Adhere completed panel to folded Whisper White Note card (and envelopes)
Attach sequin (from kit)

As you can probably tell - I really liked the October Friends of a Feather Paper Pumpkin kit. The kit originally was designed to create 8 cards. However, I got 20 cards out of the kit using the alternates I created - wow!! I'll be mailing them out this week to some special people

DOstamperSTARS Blog Hop Featuring Snowflake Showcase

Welcome to the DOstamperSTARS Blog Hop featuring Snowflake Showcase products. You'll be enchanted with the unique details of this set. If you look closely, the tree image is made up entirely of snowflakes. Which makes the Snowflake Trinkets the perfect accessory!

This card looks fancy and your friends and family will adore it. However, even though it looks fancy, it's pretty easy to make.

How'd She DO That? tips for Snow is Glistening card:

Stamps: Snow is Glistening
Paper:
- Merry Merlot (11” x 4 1/4” score at 5 1/2” for card base)
- Whisper White (10-1/2" x 4" score at 5-1/4" for inside card, and scrap)
Ink: Versamark, Merry Merlot
Other: Big Shot, Layering Oval Framelits Dies, 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch, Classic Label Punch, Snowflake Trinkets, Heat Tool, Embossing Buddy, Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder, Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8" Reversible Ribbon, Copper Metallic Thread, SNAIL Permanent
Tips: see below

Instructions:

Die cut an oval window in the front of the Merry Merlot card base (use largest oval die).
Rub Embossing Buddy all over the front of the folded Whisper White "inside card". Stamp tree image with Versamark ink on the front/center of the card. Cover with Copper Embossing Powder. Shake off excess and melt with Heat Tool. Let cool, then use a soft cloth or tissue to wipe off any residual powder.
Adhere the back side only of the white card to the inside of the folded card base.
Wrap ribbon around both of the card fronts (Merlot and White) and tie in a knot.
Rub Embossing Buddy over white scrap, then stamp sentiment with Versamark ink. Heat emboss with Copper Embossing Power. Cut with Classic Label punch and 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch.
Use a few strands of Copper Metallic Thread to tie both sentiment and trinket to ribbon knot.
Stamp inside greeting with Merry Merlot ink.

Change the color of the Snowflake Trinkets!

Metal Embossing Tips:

Cover the Snowflake Trinket with Versamark ink.
Cover with inked trinket with Copper Embossing Power and melt with Heat Tool.
I Recommend doing this twice.

OnStage with the STARS

November 15, 2018

Last week you would have found me in Orlando, Florida! Why? Because I was attending, along with several members of my DOstamperSTARS team (and 6000 or more demonstrators from around the world), the annual Stampin' Up! 2018 OnStage event.

As usual, we had a blast! We saw tons of new product that will be coming out in the upcoming 2019 Occasions Catalog and 2019 Sale-a-Bration Brochure (January 3, 2019)

But the best part is spending time with my awesome team!

We even got a chance to stamp! Above is two of the four make & takes that we did.

These events are always fun bonding experiences and this one was no exception. We're already looking forward to the next one on April 13th and are excited that one of the locations is Minneapolis, MN - yay!!

There is some good news...In order to provide another holiday-themed option, we are making our promotional Dashing Along Designer Series Paper (item 149903) available for sale at $11.00.

This beautiful, 12" x 12" traditional Christmas paper has a festive, eclectic feel and is perfect for layering. Coordinating colors are Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, and Whisper White.

Have you seen the Friends of a Feather October Paper Pumpkin Kit?

This stylish autumn kit is filled with laser cut cards, feathers and more! I'm having a lot of fun coming up with alternate ideas. Here's one of them:

Friends Stick Together Panel card

Cut Crumb Cake kit card in half (when folded it will measure 3-1/8" x 4-1/8")
Adhere feather and leaf die cuts (from kit)
Wrap Night of Navy 1/2" Gingham Ribbon around the front flap and tie in a knot.
Stamp greeting on scrap of Whisper White with Cajun Craze ink. Cut with Pretty Label Punch and adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Adhere folded card to 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" Night of Navy panel.
Attach sequin from kit
