Welcome to the A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!
I'm excited to join this talented group of stampers to share alternate ideas for Paper Pumpkin Kits. Today we're sharing the January 2019 Paper Pumpkin - Be My Valentine
First off - this month's kit is awesome! You get supplies to make 24 pillow boxes. Plus - the paper is double-sided, so you choose your favorite design (Pool Party or Melon Mambo). Not only are the die cuts cute, but I'm enjoying the stamp set too! Especially love the two bird images.
I have two alternate ideas to share with you. The first one uses Stampin' Up!'s Note Cards & Envelopes (my favorite!). They're great for quick stamping.
Just stamp your images with Tuxedo Black ink and color with Pool Party Stampin' Blends Combo. Adhere the heart and finish off with Pool Party & Silver Baker's Twine. Voila - you're done in no time at all with this quick and cute card...that you could send to anyone, at anytime!
Next up is another quick and cute card, just stepped up a notch.
How'd She DO That? Tips for Be Mine Birds Card:
- Paper:
- Pool Party(5-1/2" x 8-1/2"card base)
- Whisper White (4" x 1" trim ends into banner shape)
- Pillow Box pieces (two partial circles from box ends)
- Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
- Stampin' Blends: Pool Party Combo, Flirty Flamingo Combo, Light Daffodil Delight (beaks)
- Other: Silver Mini Sequin Trim
I bet you're wondering how I cut that oval? Well...
- I've been trimming the ends off the pillow boxes to use the pattern paper for cards.
- Then I was finding these "half circles" all over my stamping table.
- I decided to add them to the back of the banner, to make them appear like an oval. Pretty clever, right?
- So...save your scraps!
