Birthday Monday: How Sweet It Is

It's Birthday Monday and here is a card using the How Sweet it is Suite from the 2019 Occasions Catalog (perfect for birthdays for any age)! This is also my "featured" suite this month (learn more below).
The Sweetest Thing stamp set is filled with fun images to treat your favorite people to sweet messages. The Jar of Sweets Framelits Dies comes with cute jars, tags and sweets, and the candy pieces have embossed details, for even more fun!
How'd She DO That? tips for Sweet Celebration card:
- Stamps: Sweetest Thing
- Paper:
- Coastal Cabana (4-1/4" x 11")
- Thick Whisper White (2-3/4" x 3-1/4", scraps)
- How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper (4" x 4-3/8",(3) small strips of 1/2", 3/4" & 1" widths, and 4" light blue stripe for sentiment)
- Ink: Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana
- Other: Big Shot, Jar of Sweets Framelits Dies, Blender Pen, White Baker's Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals
DOstamping Tips:
- If these jars seem a little taller than the dies, you're correct. They were cut into two pieces, then covered up with the sentiment strip.
- Does the sentiment strip seem a little blue? That's not your eyes playing tricks on you, it is a very light blue. Cut a light blue strip from the DSP to add your sentiment to.
- To add color to the candy and parts of the jar, after stamping; use a blender pen to move the color around.
- For the twine - use (3) pieces of twine for a sweet bow.
The How Sweet it is Suite isn't just for making kids cards (though, they'll love it!) My adult daughter would also love this card. Candy is her sweet spot.
