Announcing DOstamping 2019/2019 Annual Catalog Product Shares

I'm already hearing from some of my past Product Share customers. You are excited to see what I'll be offering this year.

The photo above is only a sampling of some the new Designer Series Paper coming in the Stampin' Up! 2019-2020 Annual Catalog (starting June 4th). We always have fabulous paper, ribbon and accessories that you'll want to get your hands on. And a product share is an economical way to see them!

If you're new to Product Shares...

In a nutshell, it's like 8 people dividing up the cost and pieces of various collections of product (pattern paper, ribbon/trims and accessories)
I collect the reservations and payments, then order product. Upon receipt of the product from Stampin' Up!, I sort, cut, wrap and repackage everything for your product share to be mailed to you.
It's a great way to get a sampling of the new products without the cost of buying it all.
Then you can decide on your favorites and order full packages later.

I've been doing product shares for many years and have heard from many satisfied customers on how much they like my shares. That's due to the time I take to wrap everything up nicely so your package arrives all in one piece - safe and sound.

All ribbon shares are wrapped around chipboard to ensure wrinkle free ribbon.
In addition...all shares are protected by cello bag packaging, ensuring safe and dry delivery!

My Stampin' Up! order: will be placed June 4th (first day of annual catalog)
Estimated mailing of shares: June 19-21 (barring any backorders from Stampin' Up!)

How to Reserve a Product Share:

NOTE: There is a process for product shares...collect reservations, send invoices via Paypal, collect payments, place the order, receive shipped order, cut and sort product, repackage product, package up your product share and mail. The entire process takes approximately two weeks after I place my order with Stampin' Up!

EMAIL ME directly at [email protected] with your product share reservation information listed below: (Note: For multiple shares - contact me for a shipping quote).

Please include the following information in your email:

1. Full Name

2. Mailing Address (United States addresses only)

3. Indicate which share(s) you would like to reserve (see choices below)

4. Email for Paypal invoicing

When your share(s) fill, I will email a Paypal (*) invoice to you to complete the payment process. I will then place my order with Stampin' Up! Upon it's arrival, I will sort, cut, wrap/assemble, package and mail. The entire process can take upwards to 10-12 business days (barring any backorders with Stampin' Up!).

(*) I use Paypal for all my billing needs. However, a paypal account is not required to make your payment. Just an email address and credit/debit card is all you need. When you receive my paypal invoice, you can choose to pay using your paypal account funds OR by credit/debit card. Just follow their EASY instructions to make your payment via the method that is most convenient for you.

Stamping with the STARS #313: Last Chance Inspiration

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Inspiration Hop #DOswts313. This week we're showcasing Last Chance projects using products that are retiring.

The Last Chance products I chose were the Incredible Like You stamp set and Gingham Gala 6x6 Designer Series Paper.

The card was one of four featured at my Stamp-a-Stack last this week. I was inspired by a swap I received from one of my STARS team members, Dawn Thomas.

How'd She DO That? Incredible Like You card:

This card was definitely a favorite at the class.

One of the conversations we had during the class was, for 2-step stamping which do you prefer? Stamp the lighter solid image first OR stamp the darker detailed first? Which do you prefer?

If you like the Incredible Like You stamp set, not only for the floral images, but the fabulous greetings (with a fun mix of scrip and text fonts), then you'll also like the Incredible Like You Project Kit (also retiring)!

I purchase several (5) of the Incredible Like You Project Kits. Why? Because these cards are AMAZING! I've made up all but one of the kits and have mailed out all of the cards. Everyone who receives one is very impressed with the card. Not only are they gorgeous, but they are easy to make.

DOstamping Incredible Like You Project Kit Tips

When I'm making up a project kit, the first thing I like to do is sort all of the pieces into piles for each card.
Then I do the stamping. For this kit, the only stamping is the sentiment labels which use Lovely Lipstick and Coastal Cabana ink...easy! (great for beginning and experienced stampers alike)
Then I'm ready to assemble each style of card, by using the photos provided in the kit!

The kit features delicate laser-cut overlays that let the color peek through on these all-occasion cards. Store or gift your cards in the reusable plastic storage envelope. Makes 16 cards, 4 each of 4 designs. Folded card size: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" (10.8 x 14 cm).

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop: Sentimental Rose

Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!

I'm excited to join in with this talented group of stampers to share alternate ideas for Paper Pumpkin Kits. Today we're sharing the April 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Sentimental Rose.

This month's kit is gorgeous! I'm enjoying playing with it.

Today I'm sharing two cards, one for Mom and one for Dad. That's right, with the black and yellow tones, my mind went to a masculine card. Check them out...

How'd She DO That? Happy Mother's Day card

For this card, I used only the elements from the kit, just in a different way. I really wanted to bring focus to the beautiful Distinkive floral image, which is stamped on a 2-1/2" white square panel. Then mounted to the large corrugated piece that was trimmed down to a 2-7/8" square. Add the twine, greeting and enamel dot...and voila! A cute and quick card came together just like that.

How'd She DO That? For You card

After cutting apart some of the card bases in my kit, my eye was drawn to the black and yellow shades. Which screamed "masculine" to me.

Cut a 1" x 1-1/8" piece from each of the three card base patterns.
Adhere them to a 3-1/4" Whisper White square. Then adhere to a 3-1/2" So Saffron square.
Stamp greeting on yellow banner with black ink. Trim the ends off, then adhere them under the greeting to create a dimensional banner.
Tie a piece of Black/Silver 1/4" Striped Metallic Ribbon on to a Classic Garage Metal Element.
Adhere to folded 8-1/2" x 4-1/4" Basic Black card base.

Nine Lives OnStage Team Gifts & Clearance Rack Refresh

Speaking of the Clearance Rack...today I'm sharing a fun little gift I made for my DOstamperSTARS Team Members who attended OnStage. It uses the adorable Nine Lives Stamp Set and the Sweet Soiree Ready Shreddie from the Clearance Rack (a great product to have around for gift packaging).

For each Stampin' Up! event, I try to do something special for my team. This year, I found these cute Suction Cup Cat Phone Stands (see below) that I thought would be fun to package up using the Nine Lives stamp set. They turned out super cute and everyone loved them!

Last Saturday I had the pleasure to spend the day with over 1200 demonstrators (of which 18 were my STARS!). Why? Because Stampin' Up! was in Minneapolis, practically my backyard. And as always - the event was fabulous.

Let's Talk Cutting Tools: Stampin' Trimmer & Big Shot

I know for some of you, you may have been alarmed to discover that the Big Shot and Stampin' Trimmer is being discontinued. And, I've been receiving questions of why and more.

In today's post, I'd like to share more information regarding these decisions by Stampin' Up! and what the plan is for transitioning to replacement products. Hopefully this will help you understand their decisions.

Retiring Big Shot Products

If you've seen the retired list, you may have noticed that the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine and Accessories are being discontinued (though, not dies and folder)

Stampin' Up! is making some big changes to our die-cutting and embossing product line. After extensive research, demonstrator feedback, and evaluation, they've decided to move in a new direction and are optimistic about this new course.

Unfortunately, innovation requires risk, and in our pursuit of a better overall die-cutting and embossing product line, we’re experiencing more significant challenges than we originally planned for, including some transition issues. These will take more time to resolve. We know this may create some challenges for some of you, and for that, we apologize.

Retiring Stampin' Trimmer Products & Transition

We have decided to retire the Stampin’ Trimmer as of June 3, 2019, including all accessories—replacement cutting blades, scoring blades, and cutting mats. We’ve experienced challenges with our supplier and are taking the opportunity to research and explore a replacement option for this product, which will not be the same as the current Stampin’ Trimmer.

There will be a gap in time between when the current Stampin’ Trimmer retires and when a new product becomes available, but we do not currently have an estimated timeframe.

Stampin' Up! has ordered Stampin' Trimmer Cutting Blades, what would normally be six months of inventory based on recent historical patterns to help Stampin' Trimmer owners during this transition. We have increased the order limit for the blades from three to six (and the limit will remain at six until they’re no longer available).

From now until September, we will receive intermittent shipments from the supplier. Throughout these months, we anticipate times when the blades will not be orderable (and not offered as a backorder). During those downtimes, you will have the option to enter an email address to receive notification when the blades are available again. (I recommend doing this, so you don't miss out. See graphic below)

I hope you found this information helpful.

For me, I'm planning to continue to use my Stampin' Trimmer and Big Shot, both personally and at classes, with current and new dies/folders coming in the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. However, I'm also very excited to see what is coming...I LOVE new stuff!
