It's that time of year. Select products from the 2019 occasions catalog and 2018–2019 annual catalog are retiring—and this is the last chance for you to get them! Check out all the details below, and be sure to get your favorites before they are gone!

All retiring items are only available while supplies last and will be discontinued after June 3.
Due to high demand for retiring stamp sets, these items will have guaranteed availability until May 24;
Non-stamp set products are not guaranteed and are available only while supplies last.
NOTE: Some stamp sets on the list are only retiring the current medium they are available in (wood-mount or clear-mount). Those that are marked will carryover in the new cling version.

If you've never gone through a Stampin' Up! retired list before, let me give you some pointers:

If you have any bundles from the Occasions or Annual Catalog on your shopping list, get them NOW. Even if the individual products carry over, the bundle price will not. (Bundle pricing is only good for the catalog they appear in first)
Retiring 2017-2019 In Color products tend to sell out fast. So stock up on paper, ink refills, ribbon and more - sooner than later!!

How Sweet It Is Wiper Fun Fold Card

Today I have something special for you! It's a Wiper Fun Fold card that will surprise and delight anyone!

When you open the card, the "focal point" swipes up, like a windshield wiper. Hence...Wiper Fun Fold Card. Below you'll find measurements, as well as a How'd She DO That? video.

tall back panel:
- Melon Mambo = 7-1/2" x 4-1/2" (score at 1-1/2" & 3" - then turn so score lines are on the right side)
- How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper = 4-1/4" x 4-1/4", two of 4-1/4" x 1-1/4"
small front panel:
- Melon Mambo = 7-1/2" x 2-1/4" (score at 1-1/2" & 3")

I'm excited to share four Fable Friends creations made by one of my DOstamperSTARS team members, Connie Plaumann.

8" x 8" Sampler - Connie is the queen of samplers!

Sweet bunny card!

These little baskets come together in no time at all.

Score a 6" x 6" piece of cardstock at 2” on all sides.
Then cut on two of the lines (on one side) up to the 2” score line (repeat on opposite side).
Fold flaps you fold in and attach together (use adhesive, brads or stapler).
Then decorate.

Two Fable Friends Cards: Not Just For Easter!

Last week I shared a few Easter cards using the Fable Friends stamp set

How'd She DO That? tips for Darling Baby card:

- Petal Pink (5 1/2" x 8 1/2" card base)
- Soft Seafoam (5/8" x 4-1/4" for sentiment)
- Thick Whisper White (scrap for bunny)
- Twinkle Twinke Designer Series Paper (1-1/4" x 5" stripe, 1/2" x 4-7/8" dots)
Ink: Gray Granite, Tuxedo Black Memento-bunny
Stampin' Blends: Crumb Cake Combo Pack, Petal Pink Combo Pack

The bunny is so cute and hard to resist his sweet face!

If you found the bunny card a little bit familiar, that is because it was inspired by the layout from the kangaroo card on page 26 of the Annual Catalog. Even though the original sample is from the Animal Exhibition Suite, it works perfectly with the adorable bunny image, don't you think?

Stamping with the STARS #312: Recessed Panel Card Inspiration

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Inspiration Hop #DOswts312. This week we're having fun with Recessed Panel cards!

I've seen Recessed Panel cards around for years, but have never made one. If you search for them, you'll find samples of horizontal, vertical and diagonal versions. I chose the diagonal version, as I like the visual interest. I got out the Needlepoint Nook Suite of products and started to play!

DOstamping Needlepoint Recessed card supplies:

Whisper White Thick (11" x 4-1/4" card base)
Whisper White (5-1/2" x 4-1/4" and scrap for punch)
Old Olive (5-1/2" x 4-1/4")
Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper (3" x 6")
Rich Razzleberry (scrap for punch)

How'd She DO That? Recessed Panel Instructions:

On folded card base, adhere Designer Series Paper at a diagonal. Align it at the bottom right corner, then align the opposite corner with the left edge of the card - see above. (You could use a full panel of Designer Series Paper. However, if you want your DSP to go farther, use a 3" x 6" piece.)
Cut both white and olive 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" panels at the same time.
- Near the top left side, make a mark at 3/4" & 1-1/8". On the right side, make a mark at 3" down from the top.
- For top "half" - start at 3/4" mark on the left edge and cut diagonally over to 3" mark on the right edge. Trim off 1/8" from top edge of white panel.
- For bottom "half" - start at 1-1/8" mark on the left edge and cut diagonally down to the bottom right corner of the panels. Trim off 1/8" from bottom edge of white panel.
- Adhere white and olive panels together
Optional: before adhering cut panels to card, add texture.
Adhere panels to card with Stampin' Dimensionals
Decorate as desired

Take a Closer Look:

Look at all of the fun "stitching" on the lower panel and the greeting label. I was giddy to discover how fabulous it looks. Both are from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies.
The Pretty Label Punch is perfect to cut the greeting label.
The finishing touch is the Needlepoint Nook Mini Buttons and Old Olive Linen Thread.

Not sure why I waited so long to make a Recessed Panel card, it was fun to make. Whether you make your panel vertical, horizontal or diagonal (like mine), I'm sure you'll have fun too! Give it a try.

Mar 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit: Two more Alternate Poppin' Birthday Ideas

Have you seen the Poppin' Birthday March Paper Pumpkin Kit?

This kit is filled with a lot of Poppin' fun, playful colors & numbers to create with!

Coordinating Stampin’ Up! colors: Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade, Basic Black

I had lots of fun playing with this kit. Here's a couple of Poppin' Birthday alternate ideas for you!

Here's a quick & cute card!

How'd She DO That? Birthday Gifts:

This card uses one of the pink "pop-up" from one of the card styles.
Trim off 7/8" x 5" strip of pink and stamp greeting (Poppy Parade & Bermuda Bay).
Cut out the pop-up pieces and trim them down to 1-7/16" squares. (The pink polka dotted pattern is from one of the envelopes)
Add bow die cuts and rhinestones.
Adhere everything to 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White panel, then to folded 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Balmy Blue card base.

How'd She DO That? Pinwheel card:

This stepped-up card uses the party hats to create a pinwheel! And yes, it actually spins.
The Pinwheel Card is easier to demonstrate, rather than describe here.
