A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop: Hugs From Shelli

Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!

I'm excited to join in with this talented group of stampers to share alternate ideas for Paper Pumpkin Kits. Today we're sharing the May 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Hugs From Shelli.

This month's kit is almost like a little sneak peek of the Bird Ballad Suite coming June 4th!

I'm enjoying playing with the Hugs From Shelli kit and have a few projects to share with you. Today I'm sharing two styles of cards, in two different colors. Check them out...

First up are a couple of Quick & Cute Panel cards made by cutting the card bases from the kit in half (7" x 2-1/2"). This doubles the number of cards you can get out of each card base...cool, huh?

How'd She DO That? Grateful Panel cards

Paper:
- Petal Pink/Pool Party (4" x 5-1/2" panel)
- Crumb Cake/Very Vanilla (2-3/4" x 3-3/4" - to mat "half card base")
Ink: Versamark and Early Espresso Stampin' Spot from kit

Use Versamark ink to stamp flowers in upper left and lower right corners.

Panel cards are great for when you need to send a quick little thank you note.

If you're a follower of my blog, you probably know that I enjoy creating 9-square cards. And this month's kit was perfect for that style of card because it included printed envelopes. I love it when there is printed envelopes in a Paper Pumpkin kit, as it gives even more options for creating alternate ideas!

In a nutshell...you'll need (9) 1" squares of 3 different patterns.

For the blue card, I used the two blue envelope styles and a card base too.
For the pink card, I used the two pink envelope styles (front & back).

How'd She DO That? 9-Square Card

Arrange (9) 1" squares on a 3-1/4" square of Very Vanilla, then adhere in place.
Adhere complete square onto 3-1/2" square of Crumb Cake.
Then adhere to folded 11" x 4-1/4" card base (Pretty Peacock - coming June 4, and Petal Pink)
Stamp greeting near upper half of 1-1/2" circle of Crumb Cake, adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals, on lower half. (Pretty Peacock ink - coming June 4, and Early Espresso Stampin' Spot from kit)
Decorate with flowers & twine from kit (adhere with glue dots), and Metallic Pearls.

A Star is Born

The Twinkle Twinkle Suite it not just for babies. It could also be used for dance or piano recitals, band concerts and plays...to recognize the STAR in your family!

This is the time of year for many of those activities final performances and what a great card to present to your STAR!

How'd She DO That? Tips for A Star is Born card:

Stamps: A Little Twinkle
Paper:
- Granite Gray (4-1/4" x 11" card base, scrap for punch)
- Vellum (scrap for punch)
- Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper - retiring (4" x 5-1/4")
Ink: Versamark
Heat Emboss: Stamp "star" image with Versamark ink, on Vellum. Cover with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Remove excess and melt with Heat Tool
Other: Embossing Buddy, White Stampin' Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, Starburst Punch, 5/8" White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, Gray Granite 1/2" Textured Weave Ribbon, Silver Metallic Thread, Metallic Pearls & Stampin' Dimensionals

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Here's a more traditional card for baby. There are patterns in the retiring Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper for both boy and girl.

Everything is Rosy Day 4: Triple Time Stamping & FB Live Replay

May 16, 2019

For Day 4 of Everything is Rosy Product Medley, I have a couple of cards for you using the Triple Time Stamping Technique.

The trick for Triple Time Stamping is to stamp all three of the white panels at the same time, by "stacking" them on top of each other. Then add a mat for each layer and adhere together on the card re-aligning images.

How'd She DO That? tips for Triple Time Stamping Rosy card:

Product Medley: Everything is Rosy
Paper:
- Night of Navy (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base)
- Whisper White (2" x 3-1/4", 3" x 4-1/4"and 4" x 5-1/4")
- Rose Gold Foil (from kit) (2-1/4" x 3-1/2", 3-1/4" x 4-1/2")
Ink: Melon Mambo, Night of Navy, Balmy Blue (note: flower center & pink leaf is Melon Mambo stamped-off)
Other: Ribbon & label (from kit), Snail & Stampin' Dimensionals

Take a closer look...the flower center & pink leaf are Melon Mambo ink stamped-off first.

After making the first card, I challenged myself to make a masculine card with the Everything is Rosy Product Medley.

Can you tell what's different? There isn't the small top layer. Let's call it, Double Time Stamping.

How'd She DO That? tips for Double Time Stamping Leaf card:

Stamps: A Good Man (coming June 4)
Paper:
- Night of Navy (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base, and 3-1/4" x 4-1/2")
- Crumb Cake (3" x 4-1/4"and 4" x 5-1/4")
Ink: Night of Navy, Crumb Cake
Other: Tailored Tag Punch, Nature's Twine, Snail & Stampin' Dimensionals

Take a closer look...the leaf on the sentiment piece was stamped with Crumb Cake. The sentiment is from A Good Man stamp set, coming June 4.

I was excited that I could create a masculine card with the Everything is Rosy Product Medley - as it gives it even more versatility!
