DOstamping Tip:

Stamp stems (Mossy Meadow), flowers (Rococo Rose) on Shimmery White stitched oval.
Use Aqua Painter to blend colors around. Just a quick wash across the image is all you need.
Voila - you now have a watercolor look without all of the work...just my kind of coloring!

Stamping with the STARS #323: Holiday Catalog Inspiration

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Inspiration Hop #DOswts323. This week we're showcasing the 2019 Holiday Catalog!

I chose that new Cup of Christmas Bundle (from the 2019 Holiday Catalog). It will spread tidings of comfort and joy, and a cup of cheer to all your friends and family this season.

This fun holiday stamp set includes a special feature, called Reversibles:

It includes specialized photopolymer stamps that allow you to stamp with both sides of the stamp for greater versatility. (*Patent pending)
I've noted the stamps that are reversible in the graphic above.
Reversibles is a pretty cool feature. I love that Stampin' Up! continues to innovate with their stamp sets!

How'd She DO That? Cup of Christmas card:

Stamps/Bundles: Cup of Christmas Bundle (includes Cup of Cheer Dies - saves 10%)
Paper:
- Cherry Cobbler (11" x 4-1/4" card base)
- Whisper White (scraps for cup and flower die)
- Shaded Spruce (scrap for 2-1/8" stitched square die)
- Gold Foil (1-1/4" x 4-1/4"
- Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper (1" x 4-1/4")
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce
Other: Cup of Cheer Dies, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Metallic Pearls, SNAIL, Glue Dots & Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

If you look closely, you'll find that the "sprig" images on the "Cup of Cheer" stamp are not stamped on the cup. Why?
- Well...to be honest, I'm not that fond of them. So I trimmed them off!
- I used our Paper Snips. They are nice thin scissors that cut to the tip.
- Make sure your snips are nice and sharp. (I use a Fiskars scissors sharpener that I found in the sewing section at Walmart).
- NOTE: I did save the sprig images, and could use them not only with the cup again, but anywhere on my cards.
Color the poinsettia by stamping the image with Cherry Cobbler ink, move/blend color around with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (one of my favorite quick and easy coloring techniques!)

Happy Halloween Dancing Skeleton Card

This card couldn't be easier to do. With just a few extra supplies, you'll have your skeletons dancing in no time at all!

Adhere 1-1/4" x 5-1/4 Whisper White piece to folded 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Gorgeous Grape card base
Assemble tags, add Nature's Twine, then adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stamp sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on label die cut. Adhere with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (tuck under the arms)

Happy Halloween Spider Web card

For this card, I cut open two of the treat boxes - one of each pattern. The easiest way to do that is to trim off the top and bottom of the box.

On to 2-7/8" x 4-1/8" piece of Pumpkin Pie, adhere treat box pieces measuring 3/4" x 3-7/8" (top), 1-1/4" x 3-7/8" (bottom).
Adhere 3/4" x 4-5/8" strip of Basic Black between the 2 box pieces. Then adhere to folded 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Gorgeous Grape card base.
Assemble tags, add Nature's Twine, then adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stamp sentiment with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on label die cut, and adhere with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

- Cut part way into the petals of one flower (as outlined in photo above), then "weave" it into the second flower.
For unique textured leaves:
- Fold 2" of Pretty Peacock 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon in half (secure with a glue dot), then adhere to back of flower with glue dots
Adhere flowers to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Quick & Cute: Come To Gather Card

Today I'm sharing a Quick & Cute (QC) card using the Come To Gather Suite of products.

I have to admit...at first I wasn't too sure about the color scheme of the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper. But after playing with it, I'm totally in LOVE now! Especially the addition of Pretty Peacock.

Also - I'd recommend Crumb Cake &/or Gray Granite too

How'd She DO That? QC Season of Thanks card

Stamps: Gather Together
Paper:
- Whisper White thick (11" x 4-1/4" card base and scrap for Timeless Label Punch)
- Pretty Peacock (3-1/8" x 3-3/4" size)
- Early Espresso (scrap for 2" Circle Punch
- Come To Gather Designer Series Paper (three pieces each 1-3/4" x 4")
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Other: 2" Circle Punch, Timeless Label Punch, 1/2" Pretty Peacock Scallop Linen Ribbon, SNAIL & Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tip:

This card comes together quickly with the 3 strips of DSP. The hardest part is picking out your favorite patterns.
When stamping the pumpkins on Pretty Peacock layer... mount both stamps on same block for ease of stamping.
Punches are my favorite way to add greetings and layers. Sandwich between ribbon and it finishes off a card nicely!

Not only will I be reaching for the Gather Together stamp set again, but I'll also be using this layout again...it's a winner.

Stamping with the STARS #322: Come To Gather Sketch

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Inspiration Hop #DOswts322. This week we're showcasing a fun and easy sketch.

For today's sketch inspiration, I pulled out some new product from the 2019 Holiday Catalog Come To Gather Suite.

Fall is my favorite time of year!

So it was natural the Come To Gather Designer Series Paper caught my attention. It was a perfect choice for today's sketch.

How'd She DO That? Come To Gather card:

Stamps/ Bundles: Gather Together Bundle (includes Gathered Leaves Dies - save 10%)

- Gray Granite (11" x 4-1/4" card base)
- Whisper White (3" x 4-1/4", scrap for punch)
- Cajun Craze (3/4" x 4-3/4")

One of the fun things about the leave dies is, three of them both emboss and cut. It adds a nice dimension to the card, don't you think?

This sketch is a keeper. It's going in my bag of tricks for future card designs. I definitely recommend giving it a try.
