Let's Make a Card: Simple yet Stunning Forever Blossoms Card

Today I'm sharing another "Let's Make a Card". This one features the Forever Blossoms Bundle.

I received the "card guts" from DOstamperSTAR team member, Pat. I included a piece of Parisian Blossoms Designer Series Paper. This is what she sent me...

How'd She DO That? Forever Blossoms card

Stamps/Bundles: Forever Blossoms (Bundle & SAVE 10% with Cherry Blossoms Dies)
Paper:
- Rich Razzleberry (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base)
- Whisper White (4" x 5-1/4" - die cut flower from center and then use for card panel)
- Parisian Blossoms Designer Series Paper (3-7/8" x 5-1/8")
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Other: Cherry Blossoms Dies, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic-Edge Ribbon, Gilded Gems SNAIL & Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

I stamped the floral image in the center of the Whisper White piece with Rich Razzleberry. Blended color around with the clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. Then die cut. NOTE: I reused this piece behind the DSP. Great way to save on paper.
The sentiment is stamped directly onto the DSP. (I know...scary, right? What if I mess up? I recommend practicing on scrap paper to make sure your image is mounted straight)
We could add one more item to our card guts kit and I chose my new favorite, Gilded Gems (from the Ornate Garden Suite).

Stamping with the STARS #336: Dads & Grads Inspiration - Witty-Cisms

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Inspiration Hop #DOswts336. This week we're showcasing Dads & Grads projects.

I decided on a Grad card and pulled out the yet-to-be-inked Witty-Cisms stamp set. This set was inspired by Million Sales Achiever, Lisa Fast. It matches her wit perfectly!

How'd She DO That? Witty-Cisms Grad card:

Stamps: Witty-Cisms
Paper:
- Pretty Peacock (11" x 4-1/4")
- Whisper White (4" x 5-1/4", scrap for 2" circle punch)
- Flirty Flamingo (1" x 4-1/2" strip, scrap for Starburst punchj
- Dinoroar & Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Papers (1" x 4-1/2" strips of both)
Ink: Pretty Peacock
Punches: 2" Circle, Starburst, Banner Triple
Other: Best Dressed Tassels, Whisper White White Bakers Twine Metallic Pearls, SNAIL, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

I used scraps I had laying around for the 1" x 4-1/2" strips. We all have that "scrap" pile, right?
Use the Banner Triple Punch to cut all three 1" x 4-1/2" strips of paper. Arrange together, trims ends as desired.
Before adhering to white panel, wrap Baker's Twine around right edge of strips and tie in a bow. Then adhere to panel.
For the focal point - I double-stacked the Stampin' Dimensionals. So the tassel would fit just under the edge.
Adhere tassel with glue dots.

This card was fun to make and I'm really happy with the way it turned out! I'm looking forward to using more of the images from the Witty-Cisms stamp set in the near future. It has a variety of images for a variety of occasions. It's a keeper.

Your Creative Connection #105: I Can Sing a Rainbow

Welcome to another Your Creative Connection tour, #YCC105. Our theme today is: A Rainbow for You

The inspiration for my card today is a song we sang in Girl Scouts, "I Can Sing a Rainbow" (I'm singing it right now as I type). It's actually one of my favorites from my Girl Scout experience...oh the memories! To see the lyrics, scroll down below the supply list. But I digress...

As I was singing it, I thought,"how can I make a card using the song as my inspiration?" Duh! My Million Sales Achiever stamp set, Music from the Heart. Of course, it's a perfect choice!

How'd She DO That? Music of the Heart Rainbow card

Stamps: Music from the Heart, Beautiful You
Paper:
- Whisper White Thick (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base)
- Whisper White (3-7/8" x 5-1/8")
- Basic Black or Highland Heather (4" x 5-1/4")
Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Pumpkin Pie, Bermuda Bay
Other: Heart Epoxy Drops, SNAIL

DOstamping Tips:

Generation Stamping:
- Ink up "shadow" image (from Beautiful You stamp set), stamp off on a scrap paper first. Then stamp on music staff, for the card above. Don't re-ink yet, but stamp again on the music staff, for the card below. Gives you multiple generations of color! Plus you can make two cards at the same time!
For card above - stamp "heart notes" with black ink. Stamp small hearts with various matching colors and add small Heart Epoxy Droplets to small hearts.
For card below - stamp "heart notes" with matching color & add medium Heart Epoxy Droplets to notes.

Quick & Cute: Music from the Heart Monday

For the next few weeks, on Mondays I'll be sharing projects made with my Million Sales Achiever, Music from the Heart stamp set.

Today's card is one of my creations, featuring the Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper. I've been ichin' to use one of the patterns, as it's sheet music and a perfect match for the piano image...don't you think?

DOstamping Tips:

You might find that when you trim the DSP, there are some "empty" spaces in the sheet music. This will determine whether you place the piano focal point on the right (like above) or on the left.
If you experience a "creative block" - reach back to a favorite card for inspiration. Today's card was inspired by my Peaceful Poppies card you'll find HERE.

Let's Make a Card: Best Dressed Suite Fun Fold

Last month my STARS team did a fun activity called Let's Make a Card. We sent "card guts" to someone and the recipient had to make a card with only those supplies, but could add one additional item.

My "card guts" were from Connie, which included a piece of Best Dressed Designer Series Paper. She had also pre-cut the Blackberry Bliss card base into a fun fold (see measurements below). Above is what I made with it.

And, this is what she sent me...

My additional item was the new Gilded Gems (from the Ornate Garden Suite).

How'd She DO That? Best Dressed Fun Fold Card

Stamps/Bundles: Dressed to Impress Bundle (with All Dressed Up Dies)
Paper:
- Blackberry Bliss (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base, score at 4-1/4". Trim off 1" from each edge of the card front only)
- Whisper White (3-1/4" x 4", scraps for Label Me Lovely Punch & flower die cuts)
- Best Dressed Designer Series Paper (3-1/4" x 4", two of 7/8" x 4", optional: 3/4" strips for inside)
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive
Other: All Dressed Up Dies, Gilded Gems, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, SNAIL, Glue Dots & Stampin' Dimensionals

I never made a fun fold card like this, but it was really fun to make! I highly recommend giving it a try.

DOstamping Tips:

Take a closer look at the flowers, stamped with Blackberry Bliss and blended with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
I added Old Olive to the leaves (with glitter brush).
And finally the Gilded Gems for bling!

This is the first time I've had a chance to play with the Best Dress Suite and it won't be the last! I also don't think it will be the last time the DOstamperSTARS will be playing "Let's Make a Card"!
