A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop: 3 Sending Hearts Ideas

Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! 

I'm excited to join this talented group of stampers to share alternate ideas for Paper Pumpkin Kits.  Today we're sharing the January 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Sending Heart

Next are my alternative card ideas for you!  I made a couple of Note Cards and Mini Cards.  Check them out below...

How'd She DO That? Sending Love Note Card:

• On 3-1/4" x 4-3/4" white panel, stamp "love" repeatedly.  (Mask off about 3-1/4" from top).  Add smaller scallop border (from kit)
• Stamp sentiment all the way to the left side.  Fussy cut out mailbox and adhere with dimensionals.
• Finish off with some resin hearts.  Then adhere to folded Note Card (finished size is 3-1/2" x 5")

 

How'd She DO That? Snail Valentine Cards:

• Fold 3" x 6" white card base in half.  Finished size is 3" and fits envelope #145829.
• Cut 2-3/4" layer from the kit card bases and Little Love Boxes (add-on)
• Stamp sentiment strip is 1/2" x 3".  Snail die cut is from Little Love Boxes add-on

 

How'd She DO That? Snail Love Card:

• Stamp hearts/flowers on 3-1/4" x 4-3/4" white panel - in 2 corners with Pool Party ink.  Stamp sentiment on back of label.
• Cut 3/4" x 3-1/4" strips cut from card base and Little Love Boxes add-on.  Use a Blending Brush and Pool Party ink to add color to the polka dot strip.
• After decorating panel as shown, adhere to folded Note Card (finished size is 3-1/2" x 5")

Stamping with the STARS #355: Slimline Cards Field & Flower

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Stamping with the STARS Inspiration Hop #DOswts355.  This week we're sharing the latest trend in card making...Slimline Cards.

If you're not familiar with Slimline cards, here's the skinny:

• They are a narrow & tall card (or short & long - depending on the orientation of your card)
• They measure 3-1/2" x 8-1/2" (finished)
• Just cut 4" off an 8-1/2" x 11" sheet of card stock.  The piece will measure 8-1/2" x 7".  Then score & fold at 3-1/2"

This week I've been playing with my favorite Sale-a-Bration $50 level choice, Field & Flower Designer Series Paper.  So it was my obvious choice for today's card (it was already all over my craft table - ha!)

How'd She DO That? Daisy Slimline card

• Stamps: Happy Thoughts (a must-have from the Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog)
• Paper:
  • Basic White Thick (7" x 8-1/2" card base scored at 3-1/2") 
  • Pool Party (3-1/4" x 8-1/4", 3/4" x 3") 
  • Basic Black (3" x 3")
  • Field & Flower Designer Series Paper - FREE $50level Sale-a-Bration item (3" x 5" )
  • Basic White (scrap for flower)
  • So Saffron (scrap for flower)
• Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento
• Other:  Medium Daisy Punch, Black Matte Dots, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Seal & Stampin' Dimensionals

 

DOstamping Tips:

• When I first saw the daisy pattern sheet in the Field & Flower Designer Paper, I immediately knew I would make a that featured the daisies.  Here's how I made the daisy:  
  • Cut two white flowers with Medium Daisy Punch.  Use Sponge Dauber to add Pool Party ink to the flowers center area (to resemble the daisies on the paper)
  • Cut So Saffron flower with Medium Daisy Punch (for flower center).  Hand cut off all of the petals.  Use Sponge Dauber to add Pool Party ink to the edges.  
  • Adhere flowers & flower center together with Glue Dots

  • Flirty Flamingo (11" x 4-1/4" card base-score at 4-1/4" & 5-1/2", scrap for sentiment) 
  • Basic White (scrap for label die)
  • FREE Sale-a-Bration Flower & Field Designer Series Paper (1" x 4", 4"x 4")
• Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento
• Stampin' Blends:  Smoky Slate, Flirty Flamingo

DOstamping Fun Fold Tips:

• I recommend folding the 11" x 4-1/4" card base in half at the 5-1/2" scored line.  Then fold the card front back away from the card the 4-1/4" score line.
• Add adhesive to the inside of the card in the area between the two score lines together.
• Fold card in half again and burnish the area where the adhesive is.
• Voila!  Quick and easy fun fold!

Gorgeous Golden Garden Acetate Card

Today I'm sharing products from the Fine Art Floral Suite.  The gorgeous Golden Garden Acetate and Art Gallery Bundle.

Art Gallery Bundle includes:

• The Art Gallery stamp set is inspired by impasto paintings, the floral images can be used to create a variety of different cards. Add one of the sentiments and you've taken your card-making skills to a whole new level.
• The Floral Gallery Dies cut stamped images quickly and neatly. Use the open dies for artistic floral accents and the label dies for sentiments.

Golden Garden Acetate has gold foiling on acetate sheets and is so beautiful!

How'd She DO That? Golden Garden Acetate card

• Stamps/Bundles: Art Gallery Bundle (includes Floral Gallery Dies)
• Paper:
  • Merry Merlot (11" x 4-1/4" card base)
  • Basic White (2-1/2" x 3-1/2", 2-3/4" x 3-3/4 and scraps for flower & sentiment dies)
  • Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate (4-1/8" x 5-3/8")
• Ink:  Mossy Meadow, Merry Merlot
• Other:   Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, 3/8" fine Art Ribbon, Stampin' Seal, Glue Dots & Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• Floral image stamping:
  • Stamp floral image on 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" white piece with Mossy Meadow ink.
  • Clean stamp and ink up with Merry Merlot ink.  Stamp off on scratch paper first, then stamp on scrap of white. 
  • Stamp "detailed" floral over the flower images with Merry Merlot ink. 
  • Die cut and cut off flowers, adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• When adhering the Golden Garden Acetate - only use adhesive in the center area where the focal point will cover it up.

Stamping with the STARS #354: Sketch with Berry Blessing Bundle

How'd She DO That? Berry Blessing card

• Paper:
  • Blackberry Bliss(4-1/4" x 11" card base) 
  • Basic White (1-3/4" x 3-1/2")

DOstamping Tips:

• After doing a little bit of practice stamping, I decided that I really liked the look of the blackberry stamp image without the detail image over it.  So I went for it!
• Ink up blackberry image with Blackberry Bliss ink and stamp off first (on a piece of scratch paper), then stamp on white panel.
• Stamp stem with Garden Green ink.  Stamp leaf with Granny Apple Green ink (stamped off first).
• Now I want to give the raspberry pattern paper a try!
