Embedded Embossed: Stunning Sale-a-Bration Favored Flowers Cards

I'm super excited to finally share these Embedded Embossed cards with you using the gorgeous Sale-a-Bration Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (free with $50 order)!

I initially created this cards earlier last month, but life got in the way of sharing them until today.  In the meantime, I made 45+ cards for my January VIP Thank You cards.   Anyone who shopped with me last month received one of these beautiful cards (they are in the mail).

Take a closer look...

How'd She DO That? Embedded Embossed Favored Flowers cards

• Stamps:  Go To Greetings
• Paper:
  • Your Choice (11" x 4-1/4" card base) - Petal Pink, Mossy Meadow, Calypso  Coral or Fresh Freesia,
  • Basic Black (4" x 5-1/4") 
  • Basic White (3/4" x 3-1/4" - prior to punching end)
  • Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (DSP) (scraps) FREE with $50 order during Sale-a-Bration - ends 2/28
• Ink:  Your Choice - Calypso Coral, Mossy Meadow or Fresh Freesia
• Other:   Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Fragrant Flowers Dies, Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder, Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Stampin' Seal & Stampin' Dimensionals

As I have lots of cards to make each month, I try to keep them quick & cute, which is my style anyways.  Despite the look of these cards, the featured Embedded Embossed Technique is quite easy to create.  It's actually an oldie, but goodie technique from the past. 

 

The key to this technique is the embossing folder.  When I saw the new Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder, I immediately thought of the Embedded Emboss technique.  Back in the day, we used punched out shapes to "embed".  However, the Favored Flower DSP & Fragrant Flowers Dies (also available in a bundle with the Fragrant Flowers stamp set) create the perfect shapes for this technique.

 

DOstamping Tips:

1. Use both large and small flower die shapes (from Fragrant Flower Dies) to die cut flowers from Sale-a-Bration Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper. 
   • Be sure to die cut any partial flowers from the edges too, as they are perfect for this technique. 
   • Optionally:  You could fussy cut them out instead of die cutting - if that's your thing. 
2. Onto black panel, adhere a large flower die cut into the lower corner (or grouping flowers).  Trim off any excess from edges.
3. Use Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder & Stampin' Cut & Emboss Marchione to add texture to entire panel.
4. Adhere a smaller die cut to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Trim off any excess from edges.
5. Adhere panel to folded card base
6. Stamp and punch end of sentiment strip.  Adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.
7. Finish off with Iridescent Rhinestones

 

As some of the partial die cuts will be flat on the left edges, play with the placement of the flowers.  Mix & match colors too!  

These Embedded Emboss Technique cards will bring a smile to your face - I recommend giving it a try!

Sale-a-Bration Favored Flowers: Torn Window Card

Today I have a unique card to share using the beautiful Sale-a-Bration Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (FREE with $50 order).

What makes this card unique is the easy Torn Window technique, that allows a peek at what's behind the "curtain".

How'd She DO That? Favored Flowers Torn Window card

• Stamps:  Go To Greetings
• Paper:
  • Mossy Meadow (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (3-7/8" x 5-1/8") 
  • Fresh Freesia (4" x 5-1/4")
  • Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (2-1/2" x 4") - 
• Ink:  Mossy Meadow
• Stampin' Blends:  
• Other:  Iridescent Rhinestones,  Stampin' Seal, Glue Dots

 

 

DOstamping Tips:

• About 3/4" - 1" up from bottom of white piece, tear an window opening about 2" or less wide.  DO NOT tear the piece off.
• On the piece that is torn away from edge, remove about half.  (So it will be less bulky with rolled)
• With the remaining half, roll up until you reach the opposite edge.  Secure with Glue Dots.  Using a pencil or narrow wooden dowel/skewer helps to get the "roll" going.
• I tried one with stamping the sentiment prior to tearing and another one with stamping afterwards.  I prefer stamping the sentiment before, then I know where to tear.

Stamping with the STARS #403: Sale-a-Bration Favored Flowers Easy 4-Corner Card

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Stamping with the STARS Inspiration Hop #DOswts403.  This week we're happy to share Sale-a-Bration Inspiration with you.

We're almost at the mid-point of the Stampin' Up! 2023 January-February Sale-a-Bration (SAB).  So the STARS decided to inspire you with SAB products.

I decided to use the gorgeous Sale-a-Bration Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (FREE with $50 order).  Plus, the coordinating Mini Catalog Fragrant Flowers Bundle (stamp set and Dies).

How'd She DO That? Favored Flowers Easy 4-Corner card

• Stamps/Bundles:  Fragrant Flower Bundle (includes stamp set & dies)
• Paper:
  • Basic Black (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Fresh Freesia (4" x 5-1/4") 
  • Basic White (scrap for sentiment die cut)
  • Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper (two 2" squares) - FREE Sale-a-Bration choice
• Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Fresh Freesia
• Other:  Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Stamparatus, Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels, Stampin' Seal & Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• In the center of the Fresh Freesia panel, stamp large Fragrant Flowers image using same colored ink.
• Cut both 2" squares in half on the diagonal - corner to corner.  Adhere pieces to each corner.
• Use Stamparatus to stamp sentiment.  I inked and stamped it twice to get a crisp clean image. 
• Die cut stamped sentiment with label shape, position left edge of die to left edge of sentiment.   Then trim off right edge of die cut.  Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
