Stamping with the STARS #417 Color Combo: Patchwork Pieces Dies

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Stamping with the STARS Inspiration Hop #DOswts417. This week we're happy to share Color Combo Inspiration with you.

The color combo of Bubble Bath, Calypso Coral and Garden Green was inspired by the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Series Paper.

I selected one of my favorite patterns from the paper pack, so it would look like a field of flowers.

DOstamping Tips:

Die cut both the Bubble Bath and DSP pieces with Patchwork Pieces "wavy" die shape.
Use the Bubble Bath die cut piece shown above to stamp sentiment. As it's a photopolymer set, I curved it onto the mounting block to match the curve of the die cut.
Attach Adhesive Sheet to same size Very Vanilla piece. Attach die cut pieces as shown...starting at the top left corner. NOTE: The die cuts will fit exactly onto this piece.
Then adhere to larger Very Vanilla piece and then to folded card base.
Cut DSP using the medallion shaped punch (Inked & Tiled Punch Pack). Then adhere to Garden Green medallion piece as shown. Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Need a Quick Card? Give Inked & Tiled Bundle a Try!

Today I'm sharing a Quick & Cute (QC) card using the Inked & Tiled Bundle (stamp set and punch pack) from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

I have to admit, I overlooked this bundle. But...there is a complimentary stamp set coming out in the upcoming 2023 Sep-Dec Mini Catalog (coming 9/6), that I really like. So I thought I would get all of the coordinating products. And...I'm glad I did.

I've been eyeing a couple of images in the Inked & Tiled stamp set, especially what to do with the multi-lined image. I started playing with it and came up with a grid-like pattern that I found striking. I'll share tips below.

How'd She DO That? Inked & Tiled Bundle QC card

Stamps/Bundles: Inked & Tiled Bundle (with Punch Pack)
Paper:
- Last Lagoon (11" x 4-1/4" card base)
- Very Vanilla (4" x 5-1/4")
Ink: Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock
Other: Lost Lagoon 1/4" Bordered Ribbon, Iridescent Pastel Gems, Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

To make the "grid-like" pattern:
- Diagonally line up the "multi-lined image" diagonally in the lower left corner, (Hint: find the place where the width of the stamp, lines up with the left edge & bottom edge of the Very Vanilla panel).
- With Lost Lagoon ink, stamp diagonally...repeating until reaching the lowest corner. Some were stamped without re-inking.
- Then turn the stamp 90 degrees to stamp in the opposite direction to create the grid-like pattern.
Stamp large leaf image with Pretty Peacock ink twice with out re-inking.
Cut a window with the "medallion" shaped punch in the bottom right corner (Hint: push all the way up and line up the right edge of the punch with the right edge of the stamped panel).
Wrap ribbon around panel through punched window and tie into a knot.
Use lots of Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere stamped panel to folded card base (Hint: I used the edges that I always save from my Stampin' Dimensional sheets).
Stamp sentiment through the window. (Hint: practice on a scrap piece of paper to ensure you've mounted the sentiment correctly.)

I think you'll have fun playing with the Inked & Tiled Bundle. It also comes in the Inked Botanicals Suite Collection (161172), which is great option to get the bundle, ribbon and 6x6 Designer Series Paper.

5 Ways To Use Blending Brushes

Today I'm sharing 5 Ways to use the Blending Brushes. But first, a little bit of information about our Blending Brushes product.

Now onto the beautiful Blending Brushes samples, which were created by my DOstamperSTARS team. These ideas come from my monthly STARS Creative Challenges that I offer to my team for them to learn, create and share!

1) Ombre Ink Blending

Connie employed an ombre look for her Ink Blending card. Start by applying the darkest ink on the bottom, blend in a lighter color next and then the lightest color last. This was a perfect choice for the Waves of Inspiration stamp set.

2) Ink Blending for Die Cuts

Karla used an easy ink blending application for this Gorgeous Garden Dies card. Start with a 4-1/4" x 5-1/4" white panel. Then blend various inks randomly over the panel. You could also use the die as a template/guide on where you want to add certain colors (to get green foliage and blue flowers). Then die cut and ooh & aah over the results!

3) Ink Blending with Masking

Cathy created a fall card by masking off areas above and below the area where she wanted to add ink. She tore the masks for a fabulous added detail. Then use blending brushes to add a variety of fall inspired colors. Remove and stamp the leaves from Season of Chic. 4) Spotlight Ink Blending

Rachel did a great job spotlighting the lantern on her Lighting the Way (& dies) card. Start by blending ink in the area where you want a spotlight, then add night sky colored inks outwards to the edges of the card. Her spotlighting is spot on!

5) Northern Lights Ink Blending Technique

Robyn pays homage to the beauty of the Northern Lights Ink Blending Technique with this Wildlife Wonder and Grassy Grove card. She used a variety of colors starting in the center with Petal Pink. Then worked outward with Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green and Orchid Oasis. She did a fabulous job! Adding items to your shopping cart is now easier than ever!
In addition to browsing and adding items to your shopping cart, any online store user can add a product to their shopping cart by entering an item code into a field and designate a desired quantity for the item.
This function is found in the shopping cart page
The quickest way to get to this is to click the shopping cart icon in the upper right corner of the site navigation.

If you're a shopping list maker that includes the item number in your list, you will LOVE this new option!

If you're new to Product Shares...

In a nutshell, it's like 4-8 people dividing up the cost and pieces of various collections of product (pattern paper, ribbon/trims and accessories).
I do all of the work, by collecting the reservations and payments, then order product. Upon receipt of the product from Stampin' Up!, I sort, cut, wrap and repackage everything for your product share to be mailed to you (it's a process).
It's a fabulous way to get a sampling of the new products without the cost of buying it all.
Then you can decide on your favorites and order full packages later.

I've been doing product shares for many years and have heard from many satisfied customers on how much they like my shares. That's due to the time I take to wrap everything up nicely so your package arrives - safe and sound.

How to Reserve a Product Share:

NOTE: There is a process for product shares...collect reservations, send invoices via Paypal, collect payments, place the order, receive shipped order, cut and sort product, repackage product, package up your product share and mail. The entire process takes approximately 10-12 business days after I place my order with Stampin' Up!

When your share(s) fill, I will email a Paypal (*) invoice to you to complete the payment process. I will then place my order with Stampin' Up! Upon it's arrival, I will sort, cut, wrap/assemble, package and mail. The entire process can take upwards to 10-12 business days or more (barring any backorders with Stampin' Up!).

(*) I use Paypal for all my billing needs. However, a paypal account is not required to make your payment. Just an email address and credit/debit card is all you need. When you receive my paypal invoice, you can choose to pay using your paypal account funds or by credit/debit card. Just follow their SUPER EASY instructions to make your payment via the method that is most convenient for you.

Darling Details Day #7: Two Christmas Cards; Simple, Stepped Up!

Welcome to Day #7 of my Creative Connections presentation of the Darling Details Bundle.

I took a short break from blogging while I was at a crafting retreat this past weekend. Lots of fun, food, fellowship and crafting was had! I made 16 projects - woohoo! Most with products from the upcoming September - December Mini Catalog (coming September 6th). Which I'll be sharing later.

In the meantime, today I'm sharing two Christmas Cards. One is a clean and simple card, the other a stepped-up version.

With Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker, color in berries in the sentiment image and add dots for more berries.
This card could easily be mass-produced for your holiday cards!

The Stepped-Up card has a few more steps, but a wonderful result! See how:

DOstamping Tips:

Place the large frame die in the center of the 4" x 5-1/4" Very Vanilla panel and die cut using the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. NOTE: if some of the little "dots" from the die cut need a little help releasing, use the Take Your Pick tool and Stampin' Pierce Mat to remove the rest them.
On center cut-out piece, stamp the sentiment where shown. Use Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to move color around a little on the leaves and pine bough images.
Place the stamped center piece back into the large frame die cut. Stamp flower & leaves/greenery images as shown, stamping onto both pieces at the same time. Separate the two pieces.
Adhere stamped frame piece to folded card base. Then adhere stamped center piece to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
With Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker, color in berries in the sentiment image and add dots for more berries.
Tie a bow into the gold trim. Adhere with a glue dot.
