Sale-a-Bration Inspiration: Heartfelt Hellos and Sunny Days Paper

Personal update:
Earlier this month I shared that my Dad was in home hospice (which provides much different & limited services than a hospice facility).  He passed away just a few days later.  It's taken me a few weeks to get back into crafting and blogging.  The process has been slow.  I continue to heal both emotionally and physically.  Though, I do find crafting a good distraction, when I'm feeling up for it.  Thank you for all of the condolences' and support you have sent me.  The Stampin' Up! community, my DOstamperSTARS team and customers have been a blessing...again, thank you!

Today I'm sharing a card layout I fell in love with, found in the new 2024 Jan-Apr Mini Catalog (pg 36).  Though I CASE'd it (Copy and Share Everything), I instead used new Sale-a-Bration products, Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper ($50 level) and Softly Sophisticated Bundle-includes embossing folder ($100 level).

  • Petal Pink (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base, 3-1/2" x 5" add texture with embossing folder, 5/8" x 1-3/4" sentiment) 
  • Basic White (scrap for 2-5/8" Thoughtful Expressions circle die cut) 
  • Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper (three of 5/8" x 4") - FREE Sale-a-Bration $50 order
• Ink:  Wild Wheat, Calypso Coral

DOstamping Tips:

• Adhere DSP strips to the textured 3-1/2" x 5" panel.  
• Wrap twine around panel and tie into a bow.  Position where shown and adhere to folded card base.
• On the 2-5/8" Thoughtful Expressions circle die cut, stamp leaves & flowers with Wild Wheat & Calypso Coral inks.  Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Stamp sentiment onto 5/8" x 1-3/4" strip.  Adhere with glue dot and Stampin' Dimensional.  
• Add Iridescent Pearls to flower centers.

I had a busy past couple of days.  One of them was for my grandson, Kaladin who turned one!  Which is why I'm late getting this post up for Saturday's sketch.  But what a fun day!  And in celebration of him, I made a card using the sketch.

DOstamping Tips:

• When using the FREE Sale-a-Bration Jungle Pals Dies (coming 1/4/2024), I recommend using Adhesive Sheets for the vine shape
• Use scraps & Monkey Builder Punch to cut out pieces and assemble monkey using Glue Dots. 
• Adhere down only the halfway first, so you can "hook" the tail onto the vine.  Then adhere head with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• To stamp the sentiment, cover the word "hi" with tape.  Ink up with black ink and remove the tape before stamping.
• Use Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to write the 3 dots.
