Today I'm sharing a card I made with the last chance Regal Winter Suite collection of products.

I love the way this card turned out.  The Wild Wheat and Night of Navy colors are gorgeous together, don't you think?

How'd She DO That? Sending a Hug card

• Stamps/Bundles: Regal Flora Bundle with dies (LAST CHANCE)
• Paper:
  • Basic White Thick  (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (4" x 5-1/4", scraps for sentiment, flowers, leaves) 
  • Wild Wheat (3-1/4" x 4")
  • Nigh of Navy (3/8" x 4-1/4")
  • Regal Winter Designer Series Paper (1-1/2" x 4") - LAST CHANCE
  • Regal Distressed Specialty Designer Series Paper (2" x 3-1/2" for large label die cut)
• Ink:  Wild Wheat, Night of Navy
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Gold Twisted Thread, Regal Foiled Adhesive-Backed Dots, Stampin' Seal, Glue Dots & Stampin' Dimensionals

 

DOstamping Tips:

• Adhere DSP to bottom of Wild Wheat piece, then to center of white panel and then to folded card base.
• On white scraps, stamp as follows (die cut flowers/leaves, fussy cut sentiment):
  • flower trio & single flower = Wild Wheat ink
  • leaf & sentiment = Night of Navy ink
  • leaf spray = Wild Wheat  & Night of Navy inks (use corner of ink pads to selectively ink stamp - use lightest color first)
  • Arrange die cuts onto Specialty DSP label die cut as shown.
• Adhere sentiment to center of Night of Navy strip using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then adhere strip to label flowers.  Adhere entire piece to card aligning Night of Navy strip to top edge of Wild Wheat DSP.
• Tie a bow into thread and adhere with a Glue Dot.  Attach embellishment dots to flower centers.

Stamping with the STARS #439: Easy A Little Bit Festive Cocoa Holder

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Stamping with the STARS Inspiration Hop #DOswts439.  Today it's our pleasure share a Sketch Inspiration with you.

It's also Day #11 of my DOstamping 12 Days of Christmas!

As I was playing with the A Little Bit Festive Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) this week, I found a couple of adorable die cuts...hot cocoa cup and gingerbread man.  I felt they needed to be the focal point an easy Cocoa Packet Holder.  I took a few liberties with the Sketch, but I think the spirit of it is there.

How'd She DO That? Cocoa Packet Holder

• Paper:
  • Real Red (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" holder score at 4-1/4") 
  • Basic White (scrap for largest Nested Essentials rectangle die) 
  • Joyful Saying Mis & Match Ephemera Pack - LAST CHANCE - From the North Pole banner die cut
  • A Little Bit Festive Specialty Designer Series Paper - LAST CHANCE (2-1/2" x 4" for inside, 7/8" x 5-1/4", die cuts)
• Other:  Paper Trimmer, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick Tool Real Red & White Baker's Twine, Real Red & White Peppermints, Stampin' Seal+, Tear & Tape Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, office handheld hole punch

 

DOstamping Tips:

• Create holder: 
  • Fold holder in half.  On front only, mark 1" from left folded edge on top and 2-3/4" down on right open edge.  Diagonally cut from 1" mark to 2-3/4" mark.
  • While closed cut tree holes using handheld hole punch (I used 1/4").
  • Open packet, put tear and tape adhesive on very bottom inside edge (as shown).  NOTE:  you can also add the 2-1/2" x 4" top inside DSP piece at this time too.  Close and seal tightly.
  • Thread a 14" piece of twine from top of holes to bottom and back up to top, crossing over previous thread.  At top, thread on "north pole" die cut (used Take Your Pick Tool and poke a hole), and tie into a bow.

• Adhere DSP strip and white rectangle die cut to front of packet as shown.
• Adhere gingerbread man die cut to back of cocoa cup die cut and adhere to packet with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Finish off with a few Real Red & White Peppermints.
• Inside hot cocoa packet and give away to someone special!

DOstamping Tips:

• The A Little Bit Festive Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) comes with 6 sheets of patterned paper: 1 each of 3 double-sided designs and 1 each of 3 single-sided die-cut designs. The die cut designs are what make your projects comes to life!
• I recommend cutting some of the DSP to 4" x 5-1/4" and lay them out on your table and sort the die cuts onto coordinating DSP.  
• Then choose a pile to play with and watch your cards come alive. 
• Add your sentiments using the Joyful Sayings Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.

My favorite is a toss up between the truck and the NOEL card.  My husband's favorite is the "Let it Snow" card.  Which one is your favorite?

DOstamping Tips:

• to create the hole at the top of the houses, draw a "dot" about 1/4" down from the tip of the house roof. Use house punch to line up the dot with the small circle and cut hole.
• Adhere houses to each end of the scored wrap, align bottom of houses with the scored lines.   NOTE:  make sure the non-embossed house's chimney is in the same position at the embossed house.
• Pull up houses to meet together.  Thread twine through both houses and secure.

Today is Day #6 and I'm sharing an easy weaved card using the Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper.   Great for last-minute Christmas card making.

How'd She DO That? Season of Elegance Weaved card

• Stamps/Bundles: Peaceful Season - LAST CHANCE
• Paper:
  • Cherry Cobbler (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (two of 3-3/4" x 5" - one for inside) 
  • Mossy Meadow (3-7/8" x 5-1/8")
  • Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper - LAST CHANCE (2) of 3/8” x 5-1/2” Mossy Meadow (front/back), (2) of 3/8” x 5-1/2” Cherry Cobbler (front/back)
• Ink:  Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
• Other:  – Gold Textured Adhesive-Backed Dots , Stampin' Seal

DOstamping Tips:

• Weave the four strips of DSP together as shown.  Use liquid glue to adhere them to white panel. Trim excess off edges.
• Stamp sentiment where shown – Christmas with Old Olive ink and Merry with Cherry Cobbler ink.

12 Days of Christmas-Day 5: Jingle Bells Book Treat Boxes

Welcome to my DOstamping 12 Days of Christmas!

Today is Day #5 and I'm sharing Stampin' Up! Book Treat Boxes

The Book Treat Boxes are a cute and quirky twist on treat boxes that will make your loved ones squeal with delight. Decorate with your favorite paper, stamps, embellishments, and trim for all giftable occasions. 

I made mine with a belly band so the box could be reused/recycled.  See my DOstamping Tips below.

How'd She DO That? Jingle Bells Book Treat Box

• Stamps/Bundles: Reindeer Fun Bundle - includes Dies (Last Chance)
• Paper:
  • Book Treat Box 
  • Real Red (1-1/4" x 9" for belly band, scrap for berries die cut)  
  • Basic White (1/2" x 2-7/8") 
  • Garden Green (scrap for holly leaves die cut)
  • Gold Foil Sheets (scrap for bells die cut)
  • Reindeer Fun Designer Series Paper (2-3/8" circle, optional: 2-5/8" x 3-3/8" for inside box) - Last Chance
• Ink:  Real Red
• Other:  2-3/8" Circle Punch Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Real Red & White Baker's Twine, Tear & Tape, Glue Dots & Stampin' Dimensionals

 

DOstamping Tips:

• Book Treat Boxes:  have two parts, an open box and a fold over "book cover". 
  • Assemble the box by folding on all of the score lines.  Remove adhesive backing from the two sides.  Fold end flaps inward to form a box, then fold adhesives sides over the flaps and burnish with bone folder.
  • Remove adhesive backing from inside of book cover (not the folder over tab).  Then attach box inside the center back of the book cover.
• Belly Band: Take 1-1/4" x 9" strip of Real Red and wrap around center of the entire box (including the fold over flap).  Crease the edges as you go.   Only adhere ends together in the front with Tear & Tape.
• Decorate as shown with Reindeer Fun Bundle & Dies.

12 Days of Christmas-Day 4: Easy Split Panel Card with Take a Bow

Welcome to my DOstamping 12 Days of Christmas!

Today is Day #4 and I'm sharing a Quick & Cute Split Panel card (QC), using the Take a Bow Designer Series Paper.

This card was a mystery stamping activity that my DOstamperSTARS did at our monthly Zoom meeting last month.  My team member and friend, Robyn Rasset led our mystery stamping and we all loved it! 

How'd She DO That? QC Split Panel card

• Stamps:  Reindeer Fun ( Last Chance - 10% off)
• Paper:
  • Basic White Thick (11" x 4-1/4" card base)  or (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (2" x 4", 4" x 4-1/4") 
  • Take a Bow Designer Series Paper (eight of 1/2" x 2" strips)
• Ink:  Real Red
• Other: Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• You'll need eight 1/2" x 2" strips - in a variety of patterns/colors (Take a Bow Designer Series Paper).  Arrange and adhere the strips onto 2" x 4" white strip - set aside.
• On white 4" x 4-1/4", stamp sentiment along 4" bottom area (Reindeer Fun).
• Use Paper Snips to hand-cut a curved edge above the sentiment.  Adhere trimmed off sentiment to folded card base, centering around 3 edges at the bottom.  NOTE:  I used Stampin' Dimensionals near the bottom edge.  
• Adhere completed strip panel to card by tucking under curved edge of sentiment (I did add one Stampin' Dimensional to the sentiment piece at this time.  Then adhere top curved panel to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Add Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints.

This card is a great way to use up your scraps! I can see so many different ways of using this Split Panel Card layout.  Give it a try!
