Day #2 of Sweet Days of Autumn: Critter Blocking Cards

Welcome back to Day #2 of my Week of Sweet Days of Autumn.  I'm sharing inspiration for the new Sweet Days of Autumn products from the Scrapbooking Brochure.

I was first drawn to the Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper because of the adorable fall forest critters, especially the super cute hedgehog.  Anyone who knows me, knows that I love hedgehogs.  So I had to have it!

Which one is your favorite critter?

For these Critter Blocking cards, I starting by cutting out some of the critters into squares & rectangles.  Then I started to mix and match to create a completed block of critters.  Below I share some of the larger critter block sizes to help you get started on your own block of critters.

How'd She DO That? Critter Blocking card #1

• Paper:
  • Crumb Cake (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (3" x 4-1/4", 1-7/8" x 3-1/8") 
  • Petal Pink (2-3/4" x 4")
  • Pecan Pie (2-1/8" x 3-3/8")
  • Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper (4" x 5-1/4" grid, critter scraps)
• Other:  Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Stampin' Seal, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals
• Tip: cut deer to 1-3/8" x 1-3/4", owl to 7/8" x 1", then fill in with other critters and trees

• Paper:
  • Cajun Craze  (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (2-1/4" x 3-3/4") 
  • Early Espresso (2-1/2" x 4")
  • Crumb Cake (3-3/8" x 4-7/8")
  • Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper (3" x 4-1/2" cajun craze, critter scraps)
• Other:  Baker's Twine Essentials Pack, Stampin' Seal, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals

• Tip: start by cutting the bear to 1-1/4" x 1-3/8" and fox to 1-1/8" x 1-3/8", then fill in with other critters and tree images

 

You could send these cards for all kinds of reasons, Thank you, Happy Birthday, Thinking of you, etc., but they would also make for adorable framed art too.  Have fun making your own Critter Blocking Cards.
