Florals In Bloom Suite: Bloom Where You're Planted

Today I'm sharing a card I made with the new Florals In Bloom Suite.

This card features an April sketch challenge from Stampin' Up!, #CreativeChallengeSU.  I thought it would be perfect for the phrase "Bloom where you're planted".  I've always liked that phrase.

 

How'd She DO That? Bloom Where You're Planted card

• Stamps/Bundles: Sweet Blooms Bundle - includes dies
• Paper:
  • Basic White Thick  (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Bubble Bath (4" x 5-1/4") 
  • Basic White (½” x 3-⅜”)
  • Petunia Pop (⅜” x 2-¾”)
  • Florals In Bloom Designer Series Paper (scrap for Stylish Shapes 2-5/8"circle die cut)
• Ink:  Bubble Bath, Shy Shamrock
• Stampin' Blends:  Shy Shamrock - to color pearls
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Stylish Shapes, 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

 

DOstamping Tips:

• On Bubble Bath panel, stamp “bloom” four times with Bubble Bath ink from top to bottom on the left edge.
• Then turn stamp around and stamp “oom” (upside down) to fill in right side and a partial “m” on left side.

It was a lot of fun to make using the sketch!  I recommend giving it a try.

Sneak Peek: Turtle-y Cute Accordion Fold, Starter Kit Special Coming Soon

Today I'm sharing a Fun Accordion Card made with the Turtle-y Cute Suite from the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog - arriving in just TWO MORE DAYS!!

I have to admit...I did not want to like this suite.  But as I was making a card for my grandson, Max's 18th birthday, I got stuck.  So I decided to go another direction and look through all of the NEW Designer Series Papers I got to preorder (a demonstrator perk).  And even though I didn't care for the Turtle-y Cute Suite, I ALWAYS order all of the papers!

 

I was surprised to discover the Turtle-y Cute Designer Series Paper had exactly what I needed.  It has turtles doing all kinds of things for birthday, beach, outdoor activities and MUSIC!  Max plays percussion (Trombone & Piano) and the music paper was perfect!!

 

How'd She DO That? Turtle-y Cute Accordion Fold card

• Stamps: Round We Go 
• Paper:
  • Basic White Thick (11" x 4-1/4" card base score at 5-3/8", 5-5/8" - this give the inside accordion a little room)
  • Basic White (scrap for Stylish Shapes Banner sentiment die cut, scrap for two Birthday Celebration banner die cuts) 
  • Poppy Parade (4-1/4" x 4-1/4", accordion = 4-1/4" x 5-1/2 AND 4-1/4"x 8-1/2")
  • Basic Black (scraps for six Birthday Celebration "18" die cuts
  • Crushed Curry (scrap for Stylish Shapes 1-3/4" circle die cut

DOstamping Tips:

• To make accordion:
  • score 4-1/4" x 5-1/2 in half at 2-3/4"
  • score 4-1/4"x 8-1/2" score at 2-3/4", 5-1/2", 8-1/4" and add tear & tape to 1/4" tab
  • Attach both pieces together at the tab. Fold accordion style and burnish folds with bone folder.
• Starting at left edge, adhere long DSP strip to accordion while folding panels.  Adhere small strip to last panel.
• Add Tear & Tape to turtle and music banners as shown, then adhere to accordion panels to create pockets.  
• Insert cash into pockets (folded into fifths).
• Adhere folded accordion to inside of card - use Tear & Tape on last panel only.

 

 

I guess I'll need to order the rest of the Turtle-y Cute Suite (link will be live May 6) now that I've fallen in love with it!
