Stamping with the STARS #445: Beautiful Butterflies Meets Celebratory Sips!

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Stamping with the STARS Inspiration Hop #DOswts445.  Today it's our pleasure share another Sketch Inspiration with you.

I've had the Beautiful Bokeh Suite (originally from Jan-Apr 2025 Mini Catalog) for several months, but hadn't made anything with it yet.  So I pulled it out thinking the butterflies would look nice.  Sure enough, they did!!

 

I originally thought I would use the floral pattern from the Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper.  But it was too busy.  So I turned it over to the orange diagonal striped side and voila, love it!

 

How'd She DO That? Butterflies Birthday card

• Stamps/Bundles: Beautiful Butterflies Bundle (includes dies & hybrid embossing folder)
• Paper:
  • Berry Burst  (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base, scrap for two small butterfly body die cuts) 
  • Bubble Bath (3-1/4" x 5-1/2", scrap for 2 small detailed butterfly die cuts, scrap for stamping) 
  • Basic White (scrap for long sentiment label die cut)
  • Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper (3-1/8" x 5-1/2")
• Ink:  Berry Burst
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems, Stampin' Seal, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Dimensionals

 

DOstamping Tips:

• On Bubble Bath scrap, stamp 3 medium butterflies with Berry Burst ink and die cut.
• Adhere Berry Burst body die cuts to Bubble Bath small detailed butterfly die cuts with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
• Arrange and adhere butterfly die cuts as shown (use Mini Dimensionals for small butterflies).
• On white long label die cut, stamp sentiment in center with Berry Burst ink.  The die cut off a portion on the left side to make the label approximately 3-1/4" long.  Adhere to card with dimensionals. 
• Attach a Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gem to each butterfly.

I'm thrilled with the way this turned out.  I'm sure it will bring a smile to anyone's birthday, don't you think?!

I made this card for my daughter, Becky's birthday, which is today.  I think she'll like this bright and cheery birthday card.

How'd She DO That? Happy Birthday Bouquet card

• Other:  Paper Snips (to fussy cut sentiment),  Party Dots-LAST CHANCE, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

 

 

The inside of this card has a little surprise window!  

I was away at a retreat when I made this card and I had used up all of the Peach Pie cardstock I had brought.  However, I had a leftover piece that I had used to die cut a 2-1/8" (Stylish Shapes Dies) circle.  So I thought I'd try to salvage it, as it was large enough for a card base.   After carefully adhering the white layer to the front of the card, I stamped a sentiment on the inside of the window.  This actually turned out to be a happy accident!

DOstamping Tips:

• Color the Party Dots with Stampin' Blends Markers to mix & match with lots of colors.
• Use pre-cut die cuts from the Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper makes for quick & cute birthday cards.
• What a great way to stock up on birthday cards!

Storybook Moments: You're the Most Awesome Fisherman!

If you're thinking ahead for Father's Day (June 15), then you'll enjoy today's card featuring a couple of the fun die cuts from the Storybook Moments Suite.

When I was making the Black & Pink Tote (that I shared here), I discovered some tiny little "fish" shapes on my crafting space.

I thought, "where did they come from"?  Well, they came from some of the decorative shapes included the Notes & Totes Dies.  I thought they would pair well with the badger fishman die cut from the Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper.

• To create the landscape:
  • on white panel, using Storybook Friends, stamp the rocks image near the bottom with Early Espresso ink.
  • use Blending Brushes to add Pecan Pie ink for the "ground & rock fence", and Pool Party ink to create "water",
  • use Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color the "bushes" in the rock fence line.
• Adhere Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper die cuts with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Adhere Notes & Totes "fish" die cuts with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

How cute is this?  My husband loves to fish, so this will be perfect for him for Father's Day or even his birthday.

• Ink: Blueberry Bushel (for inside sentiment)

DOstamping Tips:

• For the gold foil banner die cut, you'll only need half. 
  • Trim off two sections for the top right corner and one section for the left side.
  • Adhere them with Multipurpose Liquid Glue
  • The banner looked a little empty, so I added to fun Party Dots to them.

Storybook Moments: Hedgehog Friend Card

Today I'm sharing a card I made with the carryover Storybook Moments Suite of products.

Step into a world of folk tales, garden pails, and fuzzy tails with the Storybook Moments.  The patterned paper’s beautiful, hand-painted characters and soft color palette has all the charm of a sweet children’s story. 

If you know me, you know that I love hedgehogs! 

How'd She DO That? Hedgehog Friend card

• Stamps/Bundles:  Storybook Friends Bundle - includes dies
• Paper:
  • Lost Lagoon (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Crumb Cake (3" x 3-1/4” for frame die cut, scrap for Stylish Shapes small banner die cut)
  • Basic White (scrap for hedgehog)
  • Very Vanilla (1-3/4" x 2-1/8")
  • Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper (4" x 5-1/4")
• Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Early Express (for sentiment), Crumb Cake (for blending)
• Stampin' Blends: Petal Pink, Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Lost Lagoon, Gray Granite, Old Olive
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Stylish Shapes Dies, Small Blending Brushes, Pressed Flower Motifs, Stampin' Seal, Foam Adhesive Strips

 

DOstamping Tips:

• On 1-3/4" x 2-1/8" Very Vanilla, stamp stone "fence" near bottom and color with the following Stampin' Blends Combo Packs:
  •  Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Gray Granite, Old Olive
• Use small Blending Brush to add Crumb Cake ink over details on Crumb Cake die cut.  Add Foam Adhesive Strips around the backside of the frame opening.  Then adhere to Very Vanilla colored piece. 
• On scrap of white, stamp hedgehog and die cut.  Then color with the following Stampin' Blends Combo Pack:
•     Petal Pink, Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie, Lost Lagoon.  Adhere to "scene" with a Foam Adhesive Strip.

I'm super happy with the way it turn out.  What do you think?

It's going in the mail to a long-distance childhood friend.  I think she's gonna love it!

Today I'm sharing a sweet card using the Last Chance product, Memorable Blooms Bundle.

I'm sad this product is retiring, especially since I started playing with it and discovered, I love it!!  If you love it too, then you'll want to get it soon, before it sells out. 

How'd She DO That? Memorable Blooms card

• Stamps/Bundles: Memorable Blooms Bundle - includes Dies
• Paper:
  • Fresh Freesia (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (4" x 5-1/4", large scrap) 
  • Old Olive (scrap for large leaf die cut)
  • Thoughtful Journey 6x6 Designer Series Paper (3-7/8" square)
• Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento
• Stampin' Blends:  Fresh Freesia, Old Olive
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Fresh Freesia 1/8" Faux Velvet Ribbon, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems, Stampin' Seal, Glue Dots & Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• Use the largest Memorable Blooms hexagon die to cut a window in the white panel (I moved it slightly to the right edge).  Then adhere 3-7/8" square of DSP to back side and add to the folded card base.
• On white scrap, stamp large floral spray with black ink and color with Fresh Freesia and Old Olive Stampin' Blends.  Adhere along with Old Olive leafy die cut to left side of card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Tie a bow into the new Online Exclusive Fresh Freesia 1/8" Faux Velvet Ribbon and add it with glue dots.
• Finish off with the Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.
