Today I'm sharing 8 fabulous cards made using products from the 2021 Jul-Dec Mini Catalog.
With the release of each catalog, my DOstamperSTARS team holds a swap. We each make cards and trade them with each other via mail. It's so much fun getting swap mail!
Aren't these cards "fabulous"? That's how I would describe my STARS Team too!
Many of the supplies to make these cards are retiring and are on the Last Chance List. Be sure to review the Last Chance List to get your favorites before they are gone. I've noted which ones that are retiring in the supply list below.
I'm beyond excited that I can finally share my Million Sales Achiever stamp set with you! It's called "Music from the Heart". Which is perfect, as every time I look at, it makes my heart sing!
You might be wondering, "why music"? That's a good question.
Growing up, music was a huge part of my life. I played several instruments: oboe, guitar, saxophone, but particularly piano (classically trained). I was in any band I could be in...concert band, jazz band, orchestra, musical theater practice piano and of course...marching band. Officially - I'm a band geek! I'm sure I have some fellow band geeks out there, right? In addition, I sang in choirs and co-directed our church's children's choir for a couple of years.
My girls were also in band and choir growing up (of course). My daughter Becky is now a musician, singer/songwriter. And now a 3rd generation is developing a love of music...my grandsons. Max plays piano and percussion. Sam plays saxophone.
So...music was a natural choice for me!
I was thrilled to be able to share my stamp set and samples at the Stampin' Up! Atlanta OnStage this month. See below for my creations (note: I will be creating a couple of videos on how to use the stamp set, as well as some of the specific projects):
Features of the "Music from the Heart" stamp set:
Create your own greeting by mixing and matching images
Curvy keyboard can be stamped multiple times to create a border
Music notes can be stamped randomly on music staff, or stamp out a favorite tune ie: Happy Birthday
Songbirds can be stamped on music staff
Stamp the treble clef, then 2-step stamp the partial guitar image to create a "full" artsy guitar
Use the Timeless Label Punch to put this sweet sentiment front and center!
Use the keyboard image to create a custom background piece
Use the music staff image to create an interesting background piece
Combine the guitar and Stitched Stars Dies for a fun rockin' card
Note: the Stitched Stars Dies are from the Holiday Catalog and will be carrying over - yay!
Create mini records with the 1-1/2" and 1/2" Circle Punches
Stamp on "balloons" cut out with the Balloon Bouquet Punch
Change from classic colors to fun color combos for some quick cards!
Take a closer look at the Heart Epoxy Droplets. All 3 sizes will fit an image in the stamp set!
Use the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add glimmer and color in the center of the guitars
Tip for the "grid" square: Stamp music staff horizontally, and then vertically.
The word "music" uses the Lined Alphabet stamp set and Real Red Stampin' Blends
Come January 3, 2020, you can add "Music from the Heart" (151674) to your shopping card (part of the upcoming Jan-June 2020 Mini Catalog). Band Geeks unite!!

Several of you have asked about the card I received from Sara Douglas & Shelli Gardner, (Stampin' Up! CEO & Founder) for my Million Dollar Sales Milestone achievement.
What a fun surprise it was when it arrived! The flowers are gorgeous and the card is just perfect! Using Berry Burst & Basic Black, paired with Petal Passion Suite products and the Music Sheet background stamp (music is a big-deal in my family).
I appreciate all of the little details on this lovely card - Thank you Sara & Shelli.
When I first started papercrafting, I started with scrapbooking. After being introduced to cardmaking via my sister who made me go to a Stampin' Up! party, I was hooked! I joined to save money on my hobby, but soon saw the advantages of sharing my passion. I guess it pays to stick with your passion.
Though, a million in sales never crossed my mind when I joined. I could never see myself selling anything. I still don’t see myself as "selling", but I do see myself as teaching and sharing my passion. I’m ever so grateful for my loyal customers, incredible team, and supportive family. Also, I’m thankful to Shelli who was brave enough to start Stampin’ Up! 30 years ago!
As I have shared with my DOstamperSTARS team before..."We have something very special to offer. A grasp at happiness, making a difference in ours and others’ lives, to bring a smile to someone’s face. In the end, it may seem like just a card, but the journey of that card comes from our heart straight to their heart. What a place to touch!”
h my gosh...it was a whirlwind of excitement this past weekend at the Stampin' Up! On Stage event in Salt Lake City. This annual event is filled with creative & business demonstrators, new product displays, entertainment and of course, annual recognition.
As some of you may have noticed, last year I pulled back in my business (due to health issues). The area I put aside was creating videos. Something had to give and that is what I chose. Having said that, I did step up my blogging a little bit. So I was completely caught off guard when they announced my name during the Top 20 in United States. I was #11 - woohoo (and #25 Globally)! I was completely in shock, but of course excited, proud and thankful.
Thank you to all of my loyal customers and club members, and especially my DOstamperSTARS community. You're just the best and I'm blessed to have you all in my life!
DOstamperSTAR, Dawn Thomas being recognized for Level One Recruiting & Leadership!
DOstamperSTAR, Robyn Rasset being recognized for Level One Sales!
My "sister" demonstrator, Michelle Waletzko walking the stage for her $100,000 Sales Milestone!!
I was honored to be selected to do display samples with new product - woohoo! It was fun to play with several new & fabulous products coming in the 2018 Occasions Catalog. I'll be sharing them throughout the coming weeks.
At On Stage we got to play with new products from the following product collections; Petal Passion, Bubble Over, Sweet Soiree & Tutti-Frutti. Fun, fun, fun...you're gonna love these new products!
Again - thank you all for your support, I'm very appreciative!!
I've heard from many you that you are not receiving my blog updates into your email inbox...particularly Yahoo and Hotmail users. I appreciate that you took the time to contact me - thank you!
From my research, I suspect other "free" email services may have been affected as well. I too, use Yahoo (though - at a paid service level) and apparantly any type of Yahoo user (paid or free), may be the root of the problem (as my feed is sent with a yahoo email address).
Earlier this month, Yahoo did a major update. My non-technical understanding of it is...Yahoo is not allowing some Yahoo emails to go through. I'm assuming that since my email subscriber list is fairly large, it's outside of their "rules" for delivering emails. I've enlisted the help of my husband and we have come to the conclusion that maybe sending my email subscription through another email provider might be the fix we need.
If you could help me out...here's a couple things you might try for me:
I changed my subscriber feed to be delivered from a new email address. Please add the following email address to your contact list for me: [email protected] (I will still have [email protected] as well. You will be able to reach me via either email.)
If you haven't been receiving emails from me since early April...hopfully you'll receive this "test" from me. If you could send me an email that the test worked - that would be incredibly helpful
NOTE: you do not need to re-subscribe. At least not at this time - I'm hoping this fix will work.
In the meantime - be sure to visit my blog at www.dostampingwithdawn.com to get caught up on announcements, new products coming and of course creative projects/videos you might have missed.
Thanks for your help and patience as I work through this technical glitch~Dawn O
In the past 24 hrs - Typepad (the blog service I use) has been hit with DDOS issues. You may have noticed my blog has been randomly up, but mostly down. They are working to fix issue and hopefully that too is now fix.
Yesterday at the 2013 Founder's Circle event, was a day of relaxing. We could go shopping, hang out at the pool, complete our make & takes, read a book, chat with old and new friends...I think you get it. Just do whatever we want! And that's exactly what I did!
The day ended with the Stampin' Round Up! Share & Swap event. Just imagine 120 swappers (in our PJ's) filling the halls of the hotel with our swap line. A highlight of the trip!
Here's my swap, a Quick & Cute card (QC) which was one of my Just Cards Buffet choices this month. It was a favorite of mine and still is, 125 swaps later. I like this card because it's a nice reflection for me on acheiving the special honor of earning my 6th Founder's Circle - Top 100 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators . I am Truly Grateful for many people in my life, who helped and supported me in this acheivement.
My customers who encourage me daily with emails of thanks for just doing what I love to do.
My club members, both local and long distance. I appreciate both your business and friendship.
My DOstamperSTARS...these gals are just the best. I didn't know any one of them before I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. And now, I'm honored to call them my friends.
My special helpers (Jan, Meghann, Shari) who helped me through the most difficult, successful and rewarding year I've had as a demonstrator. With an extra special thanks to Laurie...I couldn't have done it without your help!
And lastly my friends and family...you're the bestest of all. Thank you, I'm truly grateful & blessed.
