In Color Week: Tranquil Tide CASE the Catty (CTC)

In Color Week continues with the new 2017-2019 In Color Tranquil Tide. In addition, I'm introducing a fun new feature I will be adding to my blogging schedule, CASE the Catty (CTC).

Stampin' Up! catalogs are a great source of inspiration...why not use them! We'll select a sample from the catalog and recreate it with different colors/papers and stamp set. Today's CTC is from the current 2017-2018 Annual Catalog pg 117.

We selected this one for it's fun layout that could be used for a lots of different stamp sets. The card below uses the new Little One stamp set for those sweet little ones in your life. It includes texture and pattern stamps that will help stretch this set to reach many different kinds of projects. Check it out...

Welcome Little One

Stamp greeting (Little One stamp set) with Tranquil Tide on folded 11" x 4-1/4" Whisper White Thick card base. Color inside greeting with fine tip end of Pool Party Stampin' Write Marker
Ink up "tent" image with Versamark ink, then Night of Navy Ink and stamp on scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Cover with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder, then melt with Heat Tool. Color "bear" with Pool Party marker. Color "string of dots" with Tranquil Tide marker. Use Paper Snips to cut out image. Adhere to 2-3/8" Tranquil Tide Stitched Shape Framelit circle with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Fold in half 10" of 3/8" Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon and adhere to back of circle, then adhere to card front.
Stamp stars with Pool Party ink on 1-3/8" Whisper White Stitched Shape Framelit circle. Adhere to card.
Place (3) White Perfect Accents on card to form a visual triangle.

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #227: A Little Foxy Suite!

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Sketch Pad" challenge.

For this week's challenge, I wanted to continue with this week's Brides and Babies theme. So I reached for products from Stampin' Up!'s A Little Foxy Suite!

A little note about this suite; the Foxy Friends stamp set & matching Fox Builder punch "Bundle and Save 10%" is retiring (as a bundle). However, they will return "separately" in the new catalog. Having said that, the adorable matching A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack is retiring for good, so stock up now!

Foxy Friends Congratulations card

Adhere 4 strips of A Little Foxy Designer Series Paper Stack (retiring) to 4-1/8" x 5-3/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock.
- (2) of 3/4" x 3-3/8" and (2) of 3/4" x 4-5/8"
Stamp greeting (Better Together stamp set) with black ink.
Stamp "cat with hands holding something" image (Foxy Friends stamp set) with Smoky Slate image. Stamp paws with black ink.
Stamp curved leaf image with Calypso Coral ink (left end of image will stamp over cat image)
Stamp cat image again on scrap of Whisper White. Stampin "face with whiskers with black ink." Cut out "head" with Fox Builder Punch and adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Punch scrap of Calypso Coral with Confetti Hearts Border (retiring). Using the largest hearts: Adhere one to cat's hands with Stampin' Dimensionals (cut to size). Then brush Wink of Stella Clear Glitter pen onto the cat's heart. Adhere 4 more to each corner of the card with Fine Tip Glue.

How cute is that glittery heart the cat is holding? Makes me smile!!

Brides & Babies Week: Barnyard Babies Fun Fold Card

For today's Brides & Babies card, I have a darling Fun Fold card featuring the retiring Barnyard Babies stamp set. Make someone’s day just ducky with the cute cards you'll make with this set. Baby animals are always a win and definitely perfect for Brides & Babies week!

Barnyard Babies Joy Fun Fold Card (finished size 5" x 4-1/4")

Card base: Score 4-1/4" x 7-1/2" Pear Pizzazz at 2-1/2" & fold. NOTE: Fold will be on the left side. Decorate as follows:
- Small flap: 4" x 2-1/4" Tip Top Taupe and 3-3/4" x 2" Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper (retiring)
- Inside panel: 4" x 4-3/4" Tip Top Taupe and 3-3/4" x 4-1/2" Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper

Mini Card: Score 3" x 6" Tip Top Taupe & fold. NOTE: Fold will be on the right side. Decorate as follows:
- Inside panel: Stamp lamb image (Barnyard Babies) using Tip Top Taupe ink on 2-1/2" square of Whisper White (color with Tip Top Taupe & Pear Pizzazz markers). Adhere to 2-3/4" square Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper (retiring). Adhere Tip Top Taupe banner die cut (Large Number Framelits), then staple linen thread and tie in a bow. Adhere finished square to inside panel.
- Outer flap: 2-3/4" square Whisper White and 2-1/2" square Tasty Treats Designer Series Paper

Fold mini card and adhere to center of card base.
Die cut 1-5/8" Whisper White square (Layering Square Framelits). Stamp images with Tip Top Taupe and color with markers. Adhere to 1-3/4" Pear Pizzazz die cut scalloped square.
Wrap Linen Thread around four fingers and adhere to back of square, then adhere to mini card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Refold by folding the large left flap first, then small right flap last, so it's on top!

What a fun way to welcome a little baby into the world, don't you think? Have fun making you're own Joy Fun Fold card for any occasion!

Brides & Babies Week: Weather Together Showers of Love

This week I'm doing something a little different for me. I'm having a Brides & Babies theme week! Today is a card for a Bridal Shower using the Weather Together stamp set.

Weather Together Showers of Love card

Die cut 2-7/8 Stitched Shapes Framelit circle from Shimmery White cardstock. Place it on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Shimmery White cardstock and trace it lightly with a pencil.
Remove circle, then stamp images (Weather Together stamp set) around the circle with Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum and Tip Top Taupe. NOTE: stamp images below the circle line. After ink has dried, erase pencil mark. Cut all 4 corners with Project Life Corner Punch. Adhere to folded 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Mint Macaron card base (which the corners have been punched too)
On die cut circle... stamp "love" with Sweet Sugarplum and "showers of" (from Moon Baby stamp set) using Mint Macaron Stampin' Write Marker. Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Adhere Sending Love Enbellishments with Fine Tip Glue Pen

The Moon Baby stamp set has some nice greetings that you can mix and match with the Weather Together stamp set - perfect for Brides & Babies week!

Watercolor Pencils: Sweet Moon Baby Card

Today I'm sharing a card made with the new Moon Baby stamp set (from the 2017 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog). It's all the joy of babies, but without the sleepless nights! The nursery-themed stamps in this set will put a little twinkle in your eye with it's sweet baby images.

Twinkle, Twinkle Moon Baby card

Add texture to 4" x 5-1/4" Bermuda Bay panel using the Lucky Stars Texture Impressions Embossing Folder and Big Shot. Use Fast Fuse to adhere panel to folded 4-1/4" x 11" Bermuda Bay card base.
Stamp Moon Baby mages with Archival Basic Black on 4-3/4" x 3-1/8" piece of Whisper White cardstock. Color with Watercolor Pencils: Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay & Early Espresso. Blend with a Blender Pen. Adhere completed panel to card using Fast Fuse.
Adhere pieces of ribbon (1/8" Silver, Metallic Combo Silver (SAB) & 1/8" Bermuda Bay ) to back side of a Delicate White Doily (cut off 5 "scallops"). Adhere to card card with a strip of Urban Underground Designer Washi Tape.
Stamp greeting with black ink on scrap of Daffodil Delight and die cut with matching shape from Rose Garden Thinlits. Adhere over washi tape/doily with Stampin' Dimensionals.

This sweet card would be great for baby showers, congratulations and for even your own sweet children!
