Strawberry Tasty Treat with Watercolor Wash Technique

Today's project features a fun and easy coloring technique called Watercolor Wash. It's a great technique to reach for to create a fun watercolor background look. You could stamp over it or leave as a background piece, like today's Strawberry Tasty Treat card. Bonus: learn how to color Baker's Twine!
Watercolor Wash Technique
- Using Aqua Painter, spread a generous amount of water onto 3-3/4" x 5" piece of Shimmery White cardstock.
- Use brush tip of Watermelon Wonder Stampin' Write Marker and scribble onto a size plastic baggie (sandwich or quart size).
- Place colored plastic baggie onto previously "washed" cardstock and smoosh color around as desired.
- Let dry
Strawberry Tasty Treat card:
- Adhere dried watercolor wash panel to 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Watermelon Wonder cardstock, then adhere to folded 4-1/4" x 11" Thick Whisper White card base.
- Adhere 4" x 1-1/4" piece of Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper (glossy strawberry pattern) to card.
- Die cut 2-1/4" wide oval (Stitched Shapes Framelits) from Shimmery White cardstock. Stamp images from Cool Treats stamp set as follows:
- Berry = Watermelon Wonder - stamp off first
- Leaf = Pear Pizzazz
- Seeds = Watermelon Wonder
- Greeting = Watermelon Wonder
- Adhere to 2-7/16" wide scalloped oval (Layering Oval Framelits)
- Adhere dyed Whisper White Baker's Twine behind oval. Then adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals
- Coloring twine: add 5 drops of Pear Pizzaz ink refill to a small container (like an embellishments container). Add in some rubbing alcohol. Place twine in container until it reaches the desired color. Pull out and let dry.
