Stamping with the STARS #411: Pecan Pie with Little Monkey Bundle

My favorite New Color is Pecan Pie.  Which is perfect for the Little Monkey Bundle.  It also happens to be one of my favorite pies too!

How cute is this little monkey?!  This card was so much fun to make.  It was especially delightful when I noticed the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper had a couple of patterns that helped give this card a tropical feeling...fun!

How'd She DO That? Little Monkey card

• Stamps/Bundles:  Little Monkey Bundle (save 10% include Little Monkey Builder Punch)
• Paper:
  • Pecan Pie (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base, scrap for punch) 
  • Basic White (4" x 5-1/4") 
  • Crumb Cake & Daffodil Delight (scraps for punch)

• Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento, Pecan Pie, Garden Green

DOstamping Tips:

• Stamp face image onto the monkey face shape. 
• Assemble monkey using glue dots (or Multipurpose Liquid Glue if desired).   
• For the banana,  I put a glue dot under the hand and under the bottom end of the banana to attach it to the monkey's hand.

Paper Pumpkin: 2 Ho Ho Ho Alternatives

I have 2 adorable alternative ideas for the October 2022 Ho Ho Ho Paper Pumpkin kit to share with you today!

This kit was a lot of fun to play with, with it traditional Santa images.  You just can't help but smile!

 

The first thing that came to my mind for the Santa and Ho Ho Ho die cuts was, Santa's belt.  This turned out super cute and it was really easy to make.

How'd She DO That? Ho Ho Ho Holiday card:

• Basic White  [159276] (scraps for sentiment and 2-3/8" Stylish Shapes square die)
• Basic Black [121045] (3/4" x 5-1/4", 3/4" square)

• Adhere strip of Basic Black cardstock to light blue card base.

• Stamp Santa image onto die cut with black ink. Adhere to square with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Adhere 3/4" black square to silver square die cut. Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Adhere ho, ho, ho die cut with glue dots.
• Stampin sentiment on scrap of white with black ink. Fussy cut out and adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

DOstamping Tips:

• Adhere double row snowflake die cut to folded card base (with white side face-up).
• Die cut "sky" panel with largest circle from Stylish Shapes Dies.
• Attach reindeer sleigh image to clear block, curving it to match the circle die cut. Stamp with black ink. Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Adhere snowflake die cut to circle with a glue dot.
• Tie a bow into the silver trim and adhere to snowflake with couple of glue dots.
• Stamp sentiment on scrap of Coastal Cabana with black ink. Die cut with Stylish Shapes banner shape. Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals..

• To get nice crisp stamped dots on the wings...thoroughly ink up the image, place wings on the Stampin' Piece Mat, then stamp.

Welcome to A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop! 

I'm excited to join this talented group of stampers to share alternate ideas for Paper Pumpkin Kits.  Today we're sharing the March 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Here's To You.

Here's To You Alternative Ideas

How'd She DO That? Happy Birthday Card:

• PAPER:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Petal Pink card base, scraps of Basic White and Flirty Flamingo
• INK:  Pretty Peacock
• OTHER:  Double Oval Punch, Artistry Blooms Sequins

DOstamping Tips: 

• Cut envelope liner to 4" x 5-1/4"
• Stamp "happy birthday" over each of the light blue rectangles.  This really ups the "cheer" factor for this card!

 

 

How'd She DO That? Here's To You Card:

• PAPER:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Crumb Cake card base, 3/4" x 5-1/2" Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla scrap for label die cut
• OTHER:  Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Tasteful Label Dies, Artistry Blooms Sequins

DOstamping Tips: 

• Cut envelope liner to 2-1/8" x 5-1/2"
• Die cut label and stamp with 

 

DOstamping Tips for Envelope Gift Card Holder:

1. Fold envelope in half.  Open flap and cut it in half at the fold line.  Seal up the left side.  Insert gift card into right side "pocket". 
2. Refold envelope in half again and tie thread around the gift card holder.  Secure thread on front side with two dimensionals.
3. Cut a piece from a card base (from kit) = 2-3/4" wide x 2-7/8" tall.  Adhere tree die cut with glue dots.  Then adhere to holder with dimensionals.
4. Stamp sentiment on label die cut (from kit) with Pretty Peacock ink.  Adhere with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. 

I was pleased with these alternate ideas this month.   I'm having a hard time picking a favorite.  Which one is your favorite?
