I was inspired by lots of the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalog Gilded Autumn samples. Especially the ones shown on page pg 44.

Inspired by this catalog card..

If you're a DOstamping fan, then you'll know that these 9-square "quilt" cards are a favorite of mine! Even though the catalog sample is a "mini" card, I made mine a full-size card. I used different patterns and elements as well.

How'd She DO That? Gilded Autumn 9-square card

Stamps/Bundle: Beautiful Autumn Bundle

- Mint Macaron (5-1/2" x 8-1/2" card base)
- Very Vanilla (3-1/4" square, scrap for sentiment die cut)
- Cajun Craze (3-1/2" square)

I'm excited to join this talented group of stampers to share alternate ideas for Paper Pumpkin Kits. Today we're sharing the July 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit - Summer Nights

July Paper Pumpkin - Summer Nights

Kit contains enough supplies to create nine postcards and coordinating envelopes, as well as nine die-cut tealight bags.
Card size: 4” x 5-1/4”
Coordinating Colors: Blackberry Bliss, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Night of Navy

I adore the colors of this kit. Reminds me of summer evenings (duh, of course), but also early fall.

Here's a FOUR alternative ideas using the Summer Nights Paper Pumpkin kit and Summer Nights Add-On card pack.

How'd She DO That? Rock & Roll Summer Nights Card

On front of folded Pool Party card base (4-1/4" x 11), stamp fireworks image using "rock & roll" stamping technique
- Ink up stamp with Coastal Cabana ink, then roll only the edges onto Night of Navy ink pad. Stamp, clean and repeat as desired.
For sentiment - ink up stamp with Coastal Cabana ink, then add Night of Navy ink to top and bottom of image. Stamp on label die cut (from kit) and adhere with dimensionals.
Add NEW Iridescent Pearls in the center of the fireworks.

How'd She DO That? Summer Nights Add-On Card (features envelope)

If you're a reader of mine, you'll know that I love to use patterned lined envelopes to decorate my cards.
The Summer Nights Add-On (154973) includes just such envelopes (along with 24 fabulously colored card bases)...super cute!
Trim out a 4" x 5-1/4" piece from the inside of the envelope.
The banner is made with the NEW Banners Pick a Punch (I'm in love!). Start with 1/2" x 4" piece of Night of Navy, cut both ends with punch.
The sentiment is stamped with Night of Navy ink.
Decorate card with die cuts from the kit.

These cards couldn't be easier to make. Plus the results are stunning!

How'd She DO That? Summer Nights QC Cards

First off - I totally CASED the layout of a card shown on page 126 from the 2020 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.
Second off - the floral images are stamped directly onto the card with Blackberry Bliss ink (from the kit). Then use Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to move ink around and add glitter (in person - these cards shine!)

Paper: Crumb Cake card base, post card from kit, Mint Macaron for sentiment
Other: Story Label Punch, Braided Linen Thread, NEW Iridescent Pearls

Stamps: Fancy Phrases
Paper: Blackberry Bliss card base, Crumb Cake, cut card front off card from Summer Nights Add-On pack, Calypso Coral for sentiment

Stamping with the STARS #340: CASE the Catalog, Lovely You Bundle

CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything

For my CASE, I was inspired by a sample found on page 22 of the 2020-2021 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, using the NEW Lovely You Bundle.

I was inspired by the colors (Night of Navy, Crushed Curry & Gray Granite) and started with that.
There was a pink color too, but I switched out with Mint Macaron. Why? Because I had a Mint Macaron card base sitting on my crafting table. Just call me an efficient stamper!
Though, I have to admit I would have never thought of this combination of colors, but somehow it works. Good to get outside my comfort zone.

How'd She DO That? Lovely You Bundle card

Stamps/Bundle: Lovely You (Bundle & Save 10% with Lovely Labels Pick a Punch)
Paper:
- Mint Macaron (11" x 4-1/4" card base, 3/4" x 2-3/4")
- Whisper White (4" x 4-1/4")
- Crushed Curry (4-1/4" x 4-1/4")
Ink: Night of Navy, Crushed Curry, Gray Granite & Mint Macaron
Other: Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, Basic Rhinestones, Stampin' Seal & Stampin' Dimensionals.

DOstamping Tips:

When using the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch, keep in mind that 1/8" will be cut off from each end. If cutting both ends - add 1/4" to your measurements. When cutting only one end add 1/8"
You'll also notice that I loosely CASE'd the layout too - just turned it to a portrait position
Don't forget to try ribbons from different Suites and Colors. This ribbon is actually Just Jade (from the Flower for Every Season), but I found it coordinates nicely with Mint Macaron too.

Personally, I think the Lovely You Bundle is a must-have! The cute images and nice variety of sentiments can be used all-year long. Be sure to add it to your shopping bag today.

Happiness Blooms for Birthday Monday!

I hope you're enjoying Birthday Mondays as much as I am. It's a great way to start the week off, with a smile!

Today I'm pulling out the Happiness Blooms Suite of products, along with a touch of Varied Vases stamp set (the greetings pair nicely with this suite)

How'd She DO That? Happiness Blooms card:

- Thick Whisper White (4-1/4" x 11" card base)

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #301: Beautiful Blizzard with Joyous Noel

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "showCASE" challenge.

I'm excited for this week's showCASE challenge. Why...because I really like the layout of this card in the Holiday Catalog and I thought it could be applied to a lot of different Designer Series Papers. Here's my take on it...

With the catalog inspiration, this card came together very quickly (gotta love that?). I actually chose the snowflake pattern from the Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper first, then searched for a stamp set that would complement it. I didn't have to search too far, as the Beautiful Blizzard Bundle was the perfect choice.

How'd She DO That? tips for Beautiful Blizzard card:

Stamps: Beautiful Blizzard
Paper:
- Sahara Sand (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base)
- Whisper White (./4" x 3-1/2" banner)
- Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper (4" x 5-1/4", 3/4" x 4-1/2")
- Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper (scraps for snowflakes)
Ink: Tranquil Tide
Other: Big Shot, Precision Base Plate, Blizzard Thinlit Die, 3/16" Braided Linen Trim, Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets & Stampin' Dimensionals
Tip: For the snowflakes
- I cut a 2" x 4" piece of Glimmer Paper and Multipurpose Adhesive sheets and stuck them together.
- Placed it near one end of the die and cut several snowflakes. Then I had a few choices of sizes to select from. NOTE: this die cuts lots of snowflakes, see below for the sizes.
- The Blizzard Die definitely required the Precision Base Plate. For my Big Shot, I added a "shim" of folded copy paper too.

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #296: Dashing Deer Bundle

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "showCASE" challenge.

I have to admit...I am running behind today and just finished this card a few minutes ago. Given that, I love the way it turned out and see myself making a few of these for some of my holiday cards this year!

The Detailed Deer Thinlits Dies made it easy and I love the way it matches one of the patterns from the Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper with it's little touches of copper stars and white deers..

ShowCASE Sunday: Musical Season Little Drummer Boy

It's ShowCASE Sunday! For this week's CASE (copy and share everything), we selected a sample from the Holiday Catalog on pg 51.

This beautiful sample feature the Count My Blessings stamp set (144787w or 144790c]). If you look real close - you'll notice a small layer of vellum. That little touch tones down the background piece. What a clever little trick!

I selected the Musical Season Bundle from the Holiday Catalog. Let a burst of music descend upon your loved ones with this stamp set and coordinating Musical Instruments Framelit Dies.

Our grandson, Max is in 5th grade this year. For their school district, that is when band starts. He really wanted to play the drums, and he was selected for that. Probably because he's been taking piano lessons, which he enjoys too. So when I saw this set, I knew I had to have it.
