Day 4 - Boho Coaster Box

What do you get with 5 restaurant coasters, a bit of ribbon, Designer Paper and some punches?  Well - a cute coaster gift box (or pencil holder).

These are 4x4 medium weight coasters.  Add Berry Bliss Designer Paper with Stampin' Up!'s Glue Stick (my favorite adhesive for chipboard) and sand the edges with a sanding block.  Use the Crop-a-Dile to punch holes in the chipboard.  Then thread with Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon.

Here's a close up of the focal point on the box.  It uses the 5 Petal and Boho Blossom Punches.  Add a brad from the Soft Subtles Collection and it makes for a cute flower.  The corners are punched with the Ticket Corner Punch and paper piercing is added using tools from the Crafters' Tool Kit.

OK, OK - you want to know where to get those coasters.  I purchased these last year through a bulk buy on Splitcoaststampers.  So I did a little surfing and found this site (recommended by other SCSer's): (look in accessories).

February's Scrapbook Club Project-Squash Book

Don't you just love the Berry Bliss Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!?  Didn't this Squash Book Mini Album turn out adorable?  My Scrapbook Club Members thought so!  See below for some basic instructions:

Fold three 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 pieces of cardstock as shown below:

  • Fold in half
  • Open and fold in half (in the opposite direction)
  • Open and fold in half diagonally (corner to corner)
  • How-to video for the folding

Assemble them together as shown below:

Decorate as shown below:

Then add Berry Bliss Designer Series Paper to a couple of coasters and adhere them to your book.  Decorate with the "One of a Kind" & "Boho Backgrounds" stamp sets, punches (Scallop, 1 1/4 & 1 3/8 circles, Boho Blossoms), a half-back pearl from the Pretties Kit and some of the beautiful Purely Pomegranate Double Stitched Ribbon.   Now just add pictures!

CD Album - Oct Scrapbook Club Project

I've had tons of requests for a picture of my October Scrapbook Club Project.  This is one of my most popular projects for my scrapbook clubs.  Take an ordinary CD and turn it into an adorable mini scrapbook.  This one features our Cutie Pie Designer Series paper (my favorite) and a dazzling piece of chipboard too!

This is one of the classes I'll be offering at the upcoming AGI Women of Today Scrapbooking Day Event on Saturday, February 23rd.  Check out the links on the right for more info.

Here's the other class I'll be offering:
