I really liked the stamp set that came in the Filled with Joy Paper Pumpkin kit.  There is so many creative ways you could use it.  This was just one way that I came up with.

How'd She DO That? Filled with Joy Alternative Paper Pumpkin card

• Paper:
  • Basic White (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base, scraps for stamping/punching) 
  • Flirty Flamingo (4" x 5-1/4") 
• Ink:  Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade, Pool Party
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• The Filled With Joy Paper Pumpkin kit came with a cute stamp set!
• I used the images to stamp some fun backgrounds and then cut them out with the Modern Oval Punch.
• For the ornaments - I inked the image with with Flirty Flamingo and just the bows with Poppy Parade.  Then clean off the middle ornament and used the corner of the Pool Party ink pad to just add it to that one..  It's OK if a little bit gets on the other ornament.

  • Cherry Cobbler (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (two of 3-3/4" x 5" - one for inside) 
  • Mossy Meadow (3-7/8" x 5-1/8")
  • Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper - LAST CHANCE (2) of 3/8” x 5-1/2” Mossy Meadow (front/back), (2) of 3/8” x 5-1/2” Cherry Cobbler (front/back)

DOstamping Tips:

• Weave the four strips of DSP together as shown.  Use liquid glue to adhere them to white panel. Trim excess off edges.

12 Days of Christmas-Day 4: Easy Split Panel Card with Take a Bow

Welcome to my DOstamping 12 Days of Christmas!

Today is Day #4 and I'm sharing a Quick & Cute Split Panel card (QC), using the Take a Bow Designer Series Paper.

This card was a mystery stamping activity that my DOstamperSTARS did at our monthly Zoom meeting last month.  My team member and friend, Robyn Rasset led our mystery stamping and we all loved it! 

How'd She DO That? QC Split Panel card

• Stamps:  Reindeer Fun ( Last Chance - 10% off)
• Paper:
  • Basic White Thick (11" x 4-1/4" card base)  or (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (2" x 4", 4" x 4-1/4") 
  • Take a Bow Designer Series Paper (eight of 1/2" x 2" strips)
• Ink:  Real Red
• Other: Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• You'll need eight 1/2" x 2" strips - in a variety of patterns/colors (Take a Bow Designer Series Paper).  Arrange and adhere the strips onto 2" x 4" white strip - set aside.
• On white 4" x 4-1/4", stamp sentiment along 4" bottom area (Reindeer Fun).
• Use Paper Snips to hand-cut a curved edge above the sentiment.  Adhere trimmed off sentiment to folded card base, centering around 3 edges at the bottom.  NOTE:  I used Stampin' Dimensionals near the bottom edge.  
• Adhere completed strip panel to card by tucking under curved edge of sentiment (I did add one Stampin' Dimensional to the sentiment piece at this time.  Then adhere top curved panel to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Add Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints.

This card is a great way to use up your scraps! I can see so many different ways of using this Split Panel Card layout.  Give it a try!

Background Stamping: Autumn to Remember Anniversary Card, Last Day Reminders

Today I'm sharing a card I made for my hubby for our 37th anniversary, coming up this weekend.

It features a custom stamped background using the Autumn to Remember Stamp Set.  I'm a fan of creating my own backgrounds and it's a great way to use your stamps and ink to create a fabulous custom look.

DOstamping Background Stamping Tips:

• When creating my own stamped background, I typically choose 3 coordinating colors.  But this time I chose two, Pecan Pie and Daffodil Delight.
• Always start with your largest image, working down to your smallest image.
• When I finished stamping, I still had a lot of white space, so I used Stampin' Daubers to fill in.  The splattering of circles was a nice compliment to the other images.
• The 1-3/4" Pecan Pie circle is a nice was way to bring a circle to the Labeled With Love Punch sentiment.

  • On four Basic Beige folded card bases, stamp grid pattern twice where shown
  • Stamp sentiment on four Cheerful Daisies Dies Basic Beige labels
  • Adhere leaf/flower and sentiment as shown.

Expressions of Kindness - Envelope Cards

• Makes 12 cards
• Cut the heavily printed envelopes (leave flat) as follows:
  • Trim off 1/8" from bottom of envelope (discard)
  • Then trim another 3" off from bottom of envelope, trim off each side to get two pieces (front and back), then trim both pieces to 3" x 4-1/4" (use these for the right two cards)
  • From what is left of the envelope (including flap), trim another 3" from bottom (it will go up into the flap area).  Then trim ends to 5" (use this for the left card).  NOTE:  you can use a bone folder to help flatten out the score line of the flap.
• Stamp as follows: 
  • Stamp flower details on all 12 envelope pieces
  • Stamp grid onto the four 3" x 5" pieces
• Left Envelope Card (makes 4 cards):
  • Adhere (4) Blackberry Bliss 1-3/4” x 4-1/4” layers to (4) Basic Beige card bases
  • Adhere the 3" x 5" stamped envelope pieces as shown
  • Stamp sentiment on (4) Cheerful Daisies Dies Basic Beige labels
• Right Envelope Cards (makes 8 cards): 
  • Adhere the (8) Wild Wheat ¼” x 4-1/4” strips to the (8) stamped envelope pieces, then adhere to the (8) Blackberry Bliss 3-1/2” x 4-1/4” layers.  Adhere that to (8) Wild Wheat card bases.
  • Stamp sentiment on (8) Cheerful Daisies Dies Basic Beige labels

Last Day, Day #7 of Sweet Days of Autumn: Weaved Cards

Welcome to Day #7, my last day of my Week of Sweet Days of Autumn.  I'm sharing inspiration for the new Sweet Days of Autumn products from the Scrapbooking Brochure.

When I think of autumn, besides leaves and fall colors, I think of quilts and baskets.  Today's card is a nod to that.  This quick & cute card comes together fast and great for pattern paper scraps.

How'd She DO That? Weaved Card

• Stamps: Autumn to Remember
• Paper:
  • Cajun Craze (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base)
  • Basic White (3-3/4" x 5") 
  • Autumn to Remember Two Tone Early Espresso - light (3-7/8" x 5-1/8")
  • Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper  (3/8" x 5-1/4" four different strips )
• Ink: Cajun Craze
• Other:  Faux Glass Dots , Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Seal

 

DOstamping Tips:

• On white panel, arrange and "weave" the four strips of Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper.  Then adhere with Multipurpose Liquid glue.  Trim off any excess from edges.
• Stamp sentiment with Cajun Craze ink using Autumn to Remember stamp set.
• Adhere completed panel to Autumn to Remember Two Tone Cardstock, Early Expresso (light).  Then adhere to folded card base.
• Attach my favorite Faux Glass Dots.

 

I will definitely be making more weave style cards in the near future.  It's a fabulous layout for large sentiments!

Day #5 of Sweet Days of Autumn: Five Sticker Sheet Cards

Welcome back to Day #5 of my Week of Sweet Days of Autumn.  I'm sharing inspiration for the new Sweet Days of Autumn products from the Scrapbooking Brochure.

I fun creating these 5 cards using the Sticker Sheet from the Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper & Sticker Sheet product (166609)

On to the cards...

 

How'd She DO That? Sweet Deer Sticker Sheet card

• Paper:
  • Pecan Pie (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (4" x 5-1/4") 
  • Cajun Craze (2-3/8" Circle Punch)
  • Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper (two of 1” x 4” Cajun Craze & Old Olive, 1-1/2” x 3-1/2” grid)
  • Sticker Sheet (deer and sentiment stickers)
• Other:  2 3/8" Circle Punch, Faux Glass Dots , Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

 

DOstamping Tips:

• Arrange Cajun Craze DSP strip first, then grid pattern DSP and finish with Old Olive strip - as shown.
• The deer sticker is 2" and is matted perfectly with our 2-3/8" Circle Punch.
• For the "grateful heart" sticker, cut a small strip from the edge of a sheet of Stampin' Dimensionals and place on the overhanging right edge.

 

 

How'd She DO That? Give Thanks Sticker Sheet card

• Paper:
  • Crumb Cake (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (4" x 5-1/4") 
  • Pecan Pie (2-3/4" x 4-1/4")
  • Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper (2-1/4" x 3-1/4" to die cut largest Nested Essentials banner - then cut in half and adhere top and bottom pieces to card as shown)
  • Sticker Sheet (give thanks)
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Nested Essentials Die, Linen Thread, Faux Glass Dots , Stampin' Seal, Mini Glue Dots

 

 

 

The next set of three cards were made using our Note Cards & Envelopes.  I thought they would be a good size to show off the smaller stickers!

 

And of course, my first one is my favorite hedgehog.  She is SO cute...don't you think?

 

DOstamping Tips:

• I don't always like to stamp directly onto Note Cards, because I'll probably make some stamping mistakes (yes, I make mistakes).  So I prefer to stamp on a 3-3/4" x 4-7/8" piece of white, then add it to the note card when I'm done stamping.
• Start off by stamping two lines of the border image with Crumb Cake ink (from Autumn to Remember stamp set).
• To matte the sticker, I die cut Autumn to Remember Two-Toned 12" x 12" Cardstock (lighter side of Petal Pink) with the 2nd smallest Nested Essentials rectangle die.   I partial die cut it again (just at one end) to get the size I wanted, (approximately  1-1/2" x 1-3/4" die cut the long end).  
• Sentiment is from the Online Exclusive Changing Leaves Stamp Set
