A Star is Born

The Twinkle Twinkle Suite it not just for babies.  It could also be used for dance or piano recitals, band concerts and plays...to recognize the STAR in your family! 

This is the time of year for many of those activities final performances and what a great card to present to your STAR!

The Pleasant Pheasants might be an overlooked stamp set in the Holiday Catalog (pg 44).  However, if you enjoy coloring, you'll enjoy this stamp set filled with fall images.

First up is one for the ladies, using products from the Sweet Soiree Suite!  Get out your Stampin' Blends for this sweet card.  You could use any color combo you desire, but I used Daffodil Delight, Old Olive & Pool Party.

True Gentleman Suite Birthday Card

Next up is one for the gentlemen, using products from the True Gentlemen Suite!  This card comes together fast with a "z" fold.  The twist is to adhere the fold down (just the front fold), so the Tailor Tag punch out supports the left flap.  

Tips & Measurements for Truly Tailored Card:

• Stamps: Truly Tailored (Bundle with Tailored Tag Punch)
• Paper:
  • Crumb Cake =  11" x 4-1/4" card base (score at 5-1/2" and 2-3/4" - fold and adhere 2-3/4" sections together - creates a "half-flap")
  • Very Vanilla = 4" x 5-1/4" inside panel, scrap for Tailor Tag Punch)
  • Night of Navy = 4" x 2-3/4"
  • True Gentlemen Designer Series Paper (4" x 2-1/2")
• Ink: Night of Navy Ink
• Other: Tailored Tag Punch, Stamparatus, Stampin' Dimensionals

This was one of the cards at my last Stamp-a-Stack class earlier this month.  We used the new Stamparatus for perfect stamp placement of the inside greeting.  I heard squeals of delight throughout the event as people used the Stamparatus (coming in the next Annual Catalog).  I love that this product makes for happy stampers!!

Heart Happiness Love Notes

These darling little 3" x 3" cards (3" x 6" folded in half) turned out so cute.  With using one of the small hearts from the Heart Happiness stamp set, I had a lot of fun experimenting with different colors, shapes and sayings to create different shapes.  I found the greetings from the Lovely Friends stamp set had the perfect little sentiments. 

With just a few colors, Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker and Basic Rhinestone Jewels (colored with black Sharpie Marker), I sure you could come up with even more designs (think flowers, maybe a frog, insects and more) - what fun!

Not only will you have fun creating Heart Happiness Love Notes, but you'll have fun giving them away.  Leave them on your kids (or hubby) pillow or in their lunchboxes for a special little message from you!

Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit Mini Gable Box

When I received these Silver Mini Gable Boxes, I was thinking, "Maybe the inside is white?"  Guess what?...they are!  Just gently pull apart one edge and turn it inside out (use tear & tape to re-adhere)!  Though the silver is very nice, the white gives you more options.

Tips for Mini Gable Box

1. Stamps: Cake Soiree
2. Paper:
   • Sweet Soiree Specialty Designer Series Paper (two of 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" )
   • Marina Mist (two of 1-3/4' x 1-3/4")
   • Whisper White (for greeting)
3. Ink: Marina Mist
4. Markers:  Stampin' Blends (Daffodil Delight and Old Olive combo packs) and Subtles Stampin' Write Marker Marina Mist)
5. Other:  1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1/16" Handheld Punch, Silver Mini Gable Boxes, Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit, Silver Bakers Twine, 1/4" Silver Ribbon, Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon, Fast Fuse & Stampin' Dimensionals
6. Tips:  Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit
   • Color the yellow cake die cut (from kit) with markers
   • Fold 7" of Marina Mist Ribbon in half (from kit) along with other ribbon/trims.  Tie off with Silver Baker's Twine
   • Attach "tassel" of ribbons to greeting with clothespin (from kit)

Happiest of Days - Set of Note Cards

If you know me, then you'll know that I love Stampin' Up!'s Note Cards & Envelopes!  I always keep several packs on hand.  They are great for gifts, thank you cards for wedding/showers and more!  This set made with the new Happiest of Days stamp set & new Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack would make for a lovely set of gift cards.

Happiest of Days Note Cards

• Stamp (Happiest of Days images with Archival Basic Black ink) and decorate a 3-3/8" x 4-7//" panel of Whisper White, before adhering it to the Note Card.
• With the ever-popular Stitched Shapes Framlit Dies cut various shapes of Shimmery White cardstock.  
• All images are colored with Watercolor Pencils (Rich Razzleberry & Old Olive) & Blender Pen.
• Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack is cut into various widths and lengths.
• Finishing touches are Whisper White Baker's Twine, new Old Olive 1/8" Sheer Ribbon, new Pearl Jewels and new Rhinestone Jewels.

Delightful Daisy Suite

I chose to focus on the the new Delightful Daisy Suite of products!  

• Daisy Delight Stamp Set [143669]
• Daisy Punch [143713]
• OR Daisy Delight Bundle [145361]

Both cards feature a quick & cute "color-block" layout.  However, they both look completely different.  That's because the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper incorporates a variety of colors and designs.

Delightful Daisy card - Calypso Coral & Tranquil Tide

• Adhere (3) Delightful Daisy DSP pieces ( 5-1/4" x 1-5/8", 2-1/4" x 2", 2-1/4" x 3-1/8") on folded 11" x 4-1/4" Thick Whisper White card base.
• Stamp (2) daisies with Coral Calypso ink on Coral Calypso scraps. Cut out with Daisy Punch and adhere to together, then to card with Glue Dots.  
• Stamp (2) leaves with new Tranquil Tide ink on white scraps.  Blend color around with Aqua Painter.  Fussy cut out and adhere with glue dots.
• Stamp greeting with Tranquil Tide Ink and place Gold Faceted Gem in center of flower.

Delightful Daisy card - Night of Navy & Daffodil Delight

• Adhere (2) Delightful Daisy DSP (1-3/4" x 3", 1-3/4 square) pieces & a 1-3/4" square Daffodil Delight piece on folded 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Then adhere to folded 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Night of Navy card base.
• Stamp greetings with Night of Navy ink.
• Stamp (2) daisies with Night of Navy ink on white scraps. Cut out with Daisy Punch.  Blend color around just in the center area of the flowers with an Aqua Painter. Adhere to together with Glue Dots. Place Gold Faceted Gem in center of flower.
• Fold in half a 6" piece of Crushed Curry 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon.  Adhere to back of flower, then adhere flower to card with Glue Dots.

Swap Share Saturday: Falling In Love Swaps
