New Stampin' Up!: World Treasures Samples

Well, I was going to have a new video for you today.  But it needed a section re-taped.  However, lawn maintenance got in the way.  What can I say, it must be the day for everyone to get out their mowers, weed wackers and chainsaws.  Maybe I'll try again on Monday.

So instead, I'll share one of my pillow gifts from the Stampin' Up! DisneyWorld incentive trip.  A delightful stamp set called World Treasures.  It's one of many new products in the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog.  I fell in love with it right away.  I'm always on the lookout for peacocks, as my best friend collects thems.

I also wanted to try out the new Stampin' Up! firm foam Stampin' Pads.  So I reached for Midnight Muse for this card.  Take a look...

Let me tell you...I LOVE the new Stampin' Pads.  The firm foam pad really made a difference in my stamping experience.  As the peacock is a larger stamp, I would have typically spent a good amount of time to twist, tap, tap, tap and twist and tap some more to get good ink coverage.  Not with the new firm foam.  Just a "Goldilock's touch" will do.  You know...not too hard, not too soft, somewhere in the middle.  Plus just a couple taps is all you need.  Then ooh - the look on cardstock is just wonderful.  In addition it is much more opaque - love it!

For My Grandsons: Mickey Mouse Punch Art Card

Since we've returned from the Stampin' Up! incentive trip to Disney World with our grandsons Max and Sam, they are still talking about their delightful experience.  I was so thrilled that we could give them this experience.  I dare say...if I hadn't earned a free trip to Disney World through Stampin' Up!, we probably wouldn't have made the trip at their young age.  As it turn out...the visits with the Disney Characters created a lot of memories for those two little boys.  And me too, as I watched their surprise and delight throughout the trip.  Just priceless!

As they both had birthdays recently, Max turned 5 and Sammy turned 3, I made them each a Mickey Mouse Punch Art card with a little surprise inside.  They were a hit.

Isn't this cute?  Max knew what it was right away...chocolate!  That's right.  I picked up some Disney Character Chocolate Coins while at Disney World.  He popped it in his mouth so fast, his mom didn't even realize there was chocolate in the card. Below is Sam pretending to read his card - how cute!

More Stampin' Up! Disney World - The Rides

When Stampin' Up! announced the Disney World incentive trip, my husband and I immediately thought, "this would be the perfect trip to take the kids along".  We had always just gone ourselves, so this trip was a very different experience from the other Stampin' Up! trips.

And well, you can't visit Disney World without taking in some rides!  As the boys are pretty young and little too small to go on several of the rides, we mainly stayed in Fantasyland and Adventure Land.

    The-Rides

I think my favorite picture is the one in the lower right corner of Angie, Brandon, Max and Sam at the Swiss Family Robinson attraction.  What a cute little family!  I also love the smile on Max's face in the one above it.  Can't beat a smile like that.  In fact - just to watch the boys reaction on this trip, just warmed my heart and brought happy tears to my eyes.  Just priceless!

    Disney World With Stampin' Up!

There's nothing like going on a trip with Stampin' Up!  They always do a great job giving us special treatment, pampering us with nice locations, fun pillow gifts and more!  This year's incentive trip was to Disney World.  And of course we had to bring our grandson's Max and Sam, along with my daughter Angie and her husband Brandon.  What's Disney without kids along?

As Max and Sam are just 5 and 3, they most enjoyed meeting with the Disney characters.  We even had dinner at Chef Mickey's, where they got to meet and get autographs of Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Pluto and Goofy!  Here's some pictures from our special dinner...

    Chef-Mickey

I think my favorite picture is the one with Minnie Mouse - how cute!!  Though, we had to track Donald Duck down twice, because the boys forgot to get his autograph.

I'll share more over the next couple of days, including a sneak peek at projects made with a brand new stamp set coming June 1st!

    Enjoy~Dawn O!
