Altered Lots to Love Box Video: Small Party Pandas Treat Box & Card

Today I had lots of fun creating these Valentine Lots to Love Treat Box & matching card using the Sale-a-Bration products: Party Pandas stamp set and Bubble & Fizz Designer Series Paper.

I created the card first. It came together quick & easy. So I thought it could easily transfer to the treat box too.

Here's the treat box using the Lots to Love Box Framelits. I wanted something a little "shorter", as the panda cookie treats weren't as tall as the original box. So I altered the box a little bit.

Here's what you'll need to make your own Reese's Peanut Butter Eye's Treat Sleeves:

Pumpkin Pie insert = 2" x 6" scored at 1/4" along each long side.
Slide into 2" x 8" Cellophane Bag and fill with candy.
Topper = Daffodil Delight cardstock stamp with black ink, cut with Everyday Label Punch. Staple to bag along with 1" x 3-1/4" folded piece of Spooky Designer Series Paper.
Greeting = 2-1/2" x 1" Pumpkin Pie cardstock stamp with black ink. Trim edges at an angle, adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals.

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #248: Painted Harvest Sunflower Seeds Treat Pouch

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we're having a "Color My World" challenge.

I had to think a little bit with this week's color combo on how to tie it into the Painted Autumn Suite Week. As the colors are very Halloweeny (if that's a word?), I thought maybe a treat pouch of some kind would do the trick (or treat - ha!). Here's what I came up with using the Painted Harvest Bundle..

Sunflower Seeds Treat Pouch

Stamp sunflower images (from Painted Harvest stamp set) on Very Vanilla scrap with the following inks
1. Pumpkin Pie = large flower
2. Cajun Craze = small flower
3. Memento Tuxedo Black = flower center & dots (multiple times)
4. Use Paper Snips to cut out
Cut 2-1/2" off 2" x 8" Cellophane Bag. Fill with sunflower seeds. Fold bag over about 1-1/2". Place cut out sunflower near the top of the bag. Then staple flower to the folded bag along with a piece of Basic Black Bakers Twine.
Stamp sentiment (from Thoughtful Banners stamp set) with Cajun Craze ink on scrap of Very Vanilla. Cut with Classic Label Punch. Optional: cut label down to roughly 1-3/4". Cut hole with 1/8" Handheld Circle Punch. Thread Bakers Twine through hole and tie in a bow.
Cut Cajun Craze scrap with Leaf Punch. Adhere to under sunflower with Glue Dots.

I'm super excited about the way the treat pouch turned out. These would make sweet little co-worker gifts, party favors, a cute fall-themed wedding favor and more! Imagine them on your Thanksgiving table this year.

Coffee Break Suite Week: Coffee Pun Cards with Gift Box

Today's Coffee Break Suite Week project is a fun set of Mini Coffee Cards with Gift Box. These cards will bring a smile to any coffee lover with their clever coffee pun sentiments. Check it out...

3" x 3" Coffee Pun Cards

card bases = "3 x 6" (Whisper White Thick) - fold in half
mats= 2-3/4" x 2-3/4" (Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Soft Sky), 3" x 2-1/4" (Pear Pizzazz)
Coffee Break Designer Series Paper = various sizes (2-3/4" square, 2-1/2" square, 3" x 2"). Die cut a variety of the small coffee cups using the matching shape from Coffee Cups Framelits Dies. Fussy cut out other images (coffee pots & mug).
Circle Framelits Dies = 1-3/8" circle (Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake), 1-1/2" scallop circle (Soft Suede, Crumb Cake), 1-5/8" circle (Early Espresso)
Mini Treat Bag Thinlit Dies = cut heart from center of 2-1/2" square piece of Whisper White Thick
Labeler Alphabet stamp set = stamp "puns" with various inks on Whisper White Thick. Cut into words/phrases. (Early Espresso, Soft Sky, Garden Green, Soft Suede)
Envelope Punch Board (for 3" square cards) = Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Soft Sky, Pear Pizzazz)

Coffee Cafe Gift box

7-1/2" x 11" Soft Sky cardstock
Use Simply Scored to score at 3-1/2", 5-1/4", 8-3/4", 10-1/2" on 11" side. Then turn and score at 1-3/4", 5-1/4 and 7" on 7-1/2" side
Cut on the score lines at bottom of box up to first scored line.
Cut away sections as shown below.
Use 1" circle punch to cut a half circle as shown.
After decorating (see below)...assemble with Tear & Tape adhesive.

Decorate Gift Box

Adhere 3" square of DSP to 3-1/4" square of Early Espresso cardstock.
Wrap 3/8" Crumb Cake Classic Ribbon around panel and adhere to gift box with Tear & Tape Adhesive
Stamp coffee cup & lid with Garden Green ink on white, sentiment with Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake, heart with Soft Suede on white. Die cut each with matching shapes from Coffee Cups Framelits Dies. Assemble, then adhere to box with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Today I'm sharing a fabulous project using the FREE Sale-a-Bration stamp set card, Reverse Words! This set contains two fun images to help you celebrate! Say "cheers" and "hooray" in a fun way!

Reverse Words Cheers Bottle Tag

Score an 8" x 2-1/2" piece of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock at 2-1/4". In the "square" area, die cut a 1-5/8" circle (Layering Circle Framelit Dies).
Adhere a 5-1/4" x 2" piece of 2016-2018 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack (Sweet Sugarplum) to a 5-1/2" x 2-1/2" piece of Silver Foil Sheet. Adhere this to the rectangle area of the "bottle tag".
Adhere a piece of Delicate Doily (5 scallops) under a Silver Foil scallop oval (3-1/4" x 2-5/16" Layering Oval Framelit Dies). Adhere to tag with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Fold ribbons and trim in half, and adhere to silver oval with lots of adhesive. (9" Silver Sequin Trim, 10" Silver Natural Trim , 11" Succulent Garden Ribbon Combo Pack)
Stamp "cheers" with Sweet Sugarplum ink on Whisper White cardstock. Die cut with Layering Oval Framelit Dies (3-1/16" x 2-1/8"). Adhere over ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Hang on bottle!

Feb 2017 Paper Pumpkin: Many Happy Birthdays Candy Slider & Card

So, one of the first things I thought of when I saw the February Many Happy Birthdays Paper Pumpkin kit was, this would make a great candy bar slider! And to my delight, it worked out perfectly...just like I envisioned it in my head - yay!!

Easy Candy Bar Slider

Assemble "card sleeve" from kit as instructed (but exclude the flame).
Cut holes at open end of card with 1/8" handheld circle punch (I was able to punch through both layers at the same time)
Wrap 22" of Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon around candy bar (from top to bottom and back up) and slide into the card sleeve. Thread "back" ribbon through back hole and "front" ribbon through front hole and tie together in a bow.
Create pull tag by stamping "pull" on scrap of Whisper White cardstock with Night of Navy ink. Punch with Classic Label punch. Trim down to size. Punch 1/8" hole on end. Thread Night of Navy Baker's Twine through "tag" hole and onto ruched ribbon bow, then tie in a bow.
Die cut 2-1/4" x 1-5/16" Stitched Shape Oval Framelit from Whisper White cardstock. Stamp images with Night of Navy and Flirty Flamingo inks. Adhere to front of slider with strips of Stampin' Dimensionals over the window (be careful to not adhere over the window edges to the candy bar)
To open: pull up on the ribbon and the candy bar slides out...yum!

My last project turned out to be a "happy accident". I had punched some stars from the patterned card sleeves, which left some strips of paper with "negative star cutouts. As I was cleaning up, this strip almost landed in the trash, when I thought..."hmm, I could make something with this by putting stars over the negative spaces". Though, If I were to make it again - I'd just cut a strip of the paper and add the stars. I'll share directions for that below.

Celebrate You card

Cut 4-3/8" x 1-1/2" strip from card sleeve.
Cut 3 stars using Medium Star Punch (Coral Caypso, Night of Navy & Peekaboo Peach cardstock) and adhere to strip with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stamp greetings on 3/4" strips of Whisper White cardstock with Night of Navy ink. Trim down to size and trim ends into "flags". Adhere "celebrate" with Stampin' Dimensionals. Staple 8" of Night of Navy Baker's Twine and "you" together to strip. Tie twine in a bow.
Adhere completed "strip" to folded 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Night of Navy card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

This would make for a great graduation or birthday card. What do you think of these projects? Super cute, right?

Simply Snowflake Treat Box

One of the things I really wanted to make with this card kit was a box. I had a vision in my head of a simple square box. But when I tried to make one - my vision didn't translate very well. So I scratched that idea and opted for a smaller, but more fun Treat Box.

With a couple of extra score lines and a few cuts here & there, you too can be making these fun treat boxes Your friends will be amazed! I know I was tickled pink with the way it turned out. Speaking of pink (and I know you want to know)...the candy I used was found at my local grocery store. It's called Celebration Sixlets.

Simply Snowflake Pop-Up Gift Card Holder

I'm just over the moon in love with the way this Gift Card Holders turned out. You can actually get two from one card base. Just cut the card in half at 5-1/2".

I was giddy when I discovered that a gift card could sit nicely displayed on the snowflake die cut. Plus it kind of "pops up" when you open the holder. (Sorry for the ugly coupon card - it was the only card I could find at the time)

Used some of the leftover die cut letters & a 1/2" Circle Punch (you'll need to provide) to decorate the front of the gift card holder. What a fun way to wrap up your gift cards this year!

Gift Box Punch Board Snowman

Ever since I got my hands on the Stampin' Up! Gift Box Punch Board, I had envisioned a "stacked" snowman. I even made up three white gift boxes right away. Then I must have gotten distracted and never finished the project (does that happen you too?). So today was the day to finish it. What do you think? It looks perfect sitting on my fireplace. But you could also fill each box with a little surprise for a fun gift.

You'll need to make the following box sizes:

4" square box - Whisper White (12x12)
3-1/4" square box - Whisper White (10x10)
2-1/2" square box - Whisper White (8x8)
1-3/4" square box - Basic Black (6x6)

Holiday Treat Fry Box

If you have to make a lot of holiday treats - Stampin' Up!'s Fry Box Die was made just for you! The die cuts & scores for you and with just a little adhesive you're done! Before assembling, I quickly stamped some snowflakes from the Project Life December Wonder stamp set (from the Holiday Supplement).

I added the Note Tag Punch stamped with the Merry Everything stamp set. Tied off some "jingle bells" (I know...it's a stretch) made with the round tag die from the Curvy Keepsakes Box Thinlit Dies.

Insert candy and you're done! Actually, it was the candy that inspired this box. The blue foiled wrapped candy is Hershey's Cookies & Cream Kisses, and reminded me of "silver bells".
