Stampin' Up! Christmas Lodge: Frosted Snow

When I first saw the Christmas Lodge stamp set in the Stampin' Up! 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog, it was love at first site.  I immediately envisioned glittery snow covered roof tops.  Today's card was inspired by fellow demonstrator LeeAnn Greff.

 

Hmm...sorry, I can't seem to get a good picture of the frosted glittery snow effect.  IRL it's a great effect.

Here's some tips on creating your own Frosted Snow:

1.  Stamp lodge image with Bravo Burgundy onto Crumb Cake cardstock.  For best results, be sure to ink up your stamp really well.
2.  Let dry completely.  I used a Heat Tool.
3.  Color snow areas with White Gel Pen.
4.  Let dry completely.  Again I used a Heat Tool.
5.  Add Dazzling Diamonds Glitter with a 2-Way Glue Pen
6.  Enjoy!

Valentine Defined and Red Glimmer Paper: Love You Card

Like a said yesterday, one of my favorite new 2011 Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog productc is the Red Glimmer Paper.  If you love bling - you'll love this new paper.  It's all about the glitter, but none of the mess!

Here's a card I did using the new Stampin' Up! Valentine Defined stamp set.  I created this card for my DOstamperSTARS downline shoebox swap/potluck meeting last week.  It's always fun to get together with my downline gals, as so many of them have become my friends as well.  Nothing is better than stamping, food and spending time with friends!  A great way to end the year.

 

I can't take credit for the stinkin' cute Love You "medallion" in the bottom left corner.  I received a freakin' adorable swap card from fellow Controlfreak Kimberly Van Diepen.  I totally CASED the medallion idea from her.  Thanks Kimberly!

Manhatten Flower Textured Impressions Die: Vellum & Glitter

Here is one of this month's projects from my Technique Tuesday Class.  I love all of the samples I've been seeing of the Manahatten Flower Impressions Die being used with vellum cardstock and thought, hmm...what if I add glitter?  You know, glitter makes everything better!  What do you think?

 

Just use a Two-Way Glue Pen and add glitter!

Supplies used:  All Holidays stamp set, Almost Amethyst & Vellum cardstock, Basic Black Ink, Big Shot Die cutting Machine, Manahatten Flower Textured Impressions Die, Two-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Wishper White Satin Ribbon

Sale-A-Bration: Botanical Blooms 2-4-6-8 Tall Box

Here's a Tall 2-4-6-8 Box that I did using a full 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of Whisper White cardstock and the Sale-a-Bration stamp set Botanical Blooms and the So Saffron ribbon from the Ribbon Bundle.  This is absolutely gorgeous in real life!  The Dazzling Diamonds Glitter added with a 2-way Glue Pen, makes this a beautifully charming gift box that anyone would love to receive.

 

 

 

Directions:

1.  Decorate your 8-1/2 x 11 cardstock first (or use DSP)  NOTE:  to make a shorter box, just use 1/2 a sheet of cardstock (8-1/2 x 5-1/2).  The rest of the instructions remain the same.

2.  Score at 2, 4, 6, 8"

3.  Then turn and score at 2". 

3.  Cut up to the 2" mark on the 2,4,6,8 lines (as shown above). 

4.  Cut away the small 1/2" rectangle at the bottom right corner (as shown above). 

5.  To assemble your box...use Sticky Strip on the 1/2" panel on the right (as shown above). 

6.  Fold in all four flaps of your box bottom.  Use Sticky Strip to adhere where necessary. 

7.  Pinch the top of your box together and add ribbon

8.  Give to someone special!

Cheers to You - Girly Style!

I knew right away when I started planning the projects for my Sock Monkey PJ Party that I wanted to use the Cheers to You stamp set (#111037, $17.95).  This is a very versatile set, great for men and women.  But of course - I wanted to go Girly!

So here's my Girly Margarita - Cheers to You card.  The drink was stamped and then colored with markers.  Add 2-way glue and Dazzling Diamonds to complete the image!  I punched it with the new 1-3/4" Circle Punch (such a great addition to the Stampin' Up! punch line.  Now we just need a 2" one!).  It was layered onto a scallop circle cut with my Big Shot machine using the Pennant Die.  It's a perfect layering mat for the 1-3/4" Circle.  Add some Polka Dots and a Scallop Edge at the bottom of the card and we've exploded with Girly!

   

Supplies used:  Cheers to You & Polka Dot stamp set, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink & Whisper White cardstock, Sweet Always Designer Series Paper, Basic Black, Pink Pirouette Classic Inks, Apricot Appeal, Pretty in Pink & Regal Rose Stampin' Write Markers,  Big Shot & Pennant Die, Regal Rose 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Crafters Tool Kit, Scallop Edge & 1-3/4 Circle punches, w-2-way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds.
