Today I'm sharing a card using the Labeled With Love Punch and the Online Exclusive Iconic Celebrations Suite of products.

Ever since I saw this trick on how to "stretch" out the length of a punched shape, I've been making a few cards using the technique.  What a clever idea, don't you think?

How'd She DO That? Grateful Punch Trick card

• Stamp: Iconic Imagery
• Paper:
  • Pecan Pie (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base, 3/4" x 4-1/4", 3/8" x 1-3/8") 
  • Basic White (3-1/4" x 4-1/4", scrap for sentiment stamp & die cut) 
  • Mossy Meadow (3-1/2" x 4-1/4", 3/8" x 4-1/4") 
  • Iconic Celebrations 6x6 Designer Series Paper (scraps from 3 patterns - cut with Labeled With Love Punch)
• Ink:  Pecan Pie
• Other:  Labeled With Love Punch, Paper Snips, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Perennial Postage Dies, Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

 

DOstamping Labeled With Love Punch Trick Tips:

• Choose 3 coordinating patterns from the Iconic Celebrations 6x6 Designer Series Paper
• Cut a shape from each pattern using the Labeled With Love Punch.
• Use scissors to cut punched DSP labels in half.  Arrange and adhere to white piece, as shown. 
• Adhere 3/8" strip of Mossy Meadow to 3/4" strip of Pecan Pie.  Then adhere to center of label panel, as shown.

Autumn To Remember: Telescoping Techique

Today I'm sharing a fun Telescoping Technique card.  

It's made with some new autumn products found in the September 2024 Scrapbooking Brochure.  I'm particularly drawn to autumn colors, so I had to have these new products!

DOstamping Telescoping Sentiment Tips:

• On the light side of 2-1/2" x 4-3/4" Petal Pink Two-Toned (Autumn To Remember Cardstock), stamp sentiment in the middle (from Autumn to Remember stamp set).
• Arrange three Nested Essentials dies over the sentiment
• Keep together by using sticky notes and then die cut.
• On card - adhere smallest die cut with Seal Adhesive, next size up with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (or cut small strips for sides of Mini Stampin' Dimensionals sheets),  then adhere largest die cut with Foam Adhesive Strips.

 

How cute did this turn out?  SO cute!!  It's a great idea for Thanksgiving cards.

Beautiful Drapery Fold with Wildly Flowering & Sneak Peek

Today I'm sharing a beautiful Drapery Fold card made with the gorgeous Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper (15% off - ends in 2 days). 

This was another creative challenge for my DOstamperSTARS Team this month.  They came up with a lot of varieties of Drapery Folds and shared them on our private Facebook community page!

 

How'd She DO That? Wildly Flowering Drapery Fold card

• Stamps: Unbounded Love 
• Paper:
  • Moody Mauve (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base, scrap for sentiment punch, 3/4" x 4", scrap for bough punch - small leaf) 
  • Basic White (4" x 5-1/4") 
  • Wild Wheat (2-1/4" square, scrap for bough punch - large leaf)
  • Blackberry Bliss (scrap for bough punch - small leaf)
  • Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper (3" x 10" - see below for tips on scoring/cutting)
• Ink:  Blackberry Bliss
• Other:  Simply Scored, Paper Trimmer, Bone Folder, Bough Punch, Labeled With Love Punch,  Blackberry Bliss  & Gold 1/2" Texture Ribbon (coming 9/4), 2023-2025 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots, Tear & Tape, Stampin' Seal, Glue Dots & Stampin' Dimensionals

 

DOstamping Drapery Fold Card Tutorial:

• First, adhere 2-1/4" square to bottom right corner of white panel.
• Drapery Fold steps: 
  1. Score a 3" x 10" piece of Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper at 2", 3", 5", 6", 8" and 9"
  2. Put a pencil mark at 1-1/4" down from the top of the right edge.
  3. From bottom of 2" score line, cut diagonally up to the 1-1/4" pencil mark on the right edge.
  4. From left edge, valley fold, then mountain fold, repeating to the end (folding over to the left side). 
  5. Burnish folds with a bone folder and adhere to card as shown.
  6. Add a strip of Tear and tape across the very top of the folded piece and adhere the bottom of the 3/4" strip of Moody Mauve to the adhesive. 
• Wrap the coming soon (9/4) Blackberry Bliss  & Gold 1/2" Texture Ribbon around panel and tie in a knot on the left edge.
• Tuck in some Bough Punch cut outs (from scraps) - adhere with glue dots.
• Stamp sentiment on Moody Mauve scrap and cut with Labeled With Love Punch.  Adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals on the upper half of label.  
• Finish off with the lovely 2023-2025 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots.

How'd She DO That? To Market Stack & Cut card

• Stamps: Sweetly Scripted (Online Exclusive)
• Paper:
  • Peach Pie (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (4" x 5-1/4") 
  • Blackberry Bliss or Garden Green (3-1/4" x 4-1/4")
  • To Market Designer Series Paper (3" x 4")
• Ink: Blackberry Bliss or Garden Green
• Other: Paper Trimmer, Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots, Stampin' Seal or Multipurpose Liquid Glue

 

DOstamping Tips:

• The key to this Stack & Cut card is selecting two coordinating patterns.  The To Market Designer Series Paper has a lot of mix & match possibilities!
  • Stack the two 3" x 4" patterns you select and cut them at the same time...diagonally from the lower left to the upper right.
  • Repeat with two 3-1/4" x 4-1/4" solid color coordinating cardstock panels, cutting diagonally the same way.  Adhere DSP & cardstock triangles together.
• On the 4" x 5-1/4" white panel, position your long sentiment diagonally in the center, using the lower left and upper right corners as a guide on where to stamp.  Then adhere your completed triangles in the corners as shown.
• Attach Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots from the To Market Suite Collection to finish off your card.
• Be sure to pop them in the mail to a couple of special people!

 

 

What first attracted me to the To Market Designer Series Paper was the colors...they really spoke to me.  However, I do have to admit, I'm wasn't really a fan of the shopping & vegetable patterns.  But after taking a closer look at the other side of these colorful papers - I LOVE what I found and I think you will too!

Case the Catalog: Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper

One of the things my DOstamperSTARS Team have been doing this month is a Designer Series Paper Creative Challenge.  Each month, I put together a series of creative challenges for us and this month we focused on paper.

One of the challenges is a DSP Case, find a project in the annual catalog using Designer Series Paper and copy the layout.  A box on page 40 caught my eye and this was the perfect time to case it.

Instead of a box, I made a card using the beautiful Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (15% on this month!).

How'd She DO That? Perennial Lavender card

  • Crumb Cake (11" x 4-1/4" card base) 
  • Pretty Peacock (3-3/4" x 4-1/4" - die cut only the 3-1/2" edges with 3-3/8" x 4-3/4" Deckled Rectangle die)

DOstamping Tips:

• I feel like I came across a really cool trick when I did a partial die cut using the Deckled Rectangles dies.  You could utilize this trick when cutting 1, 2 or 3 sides.  Give it a try!
• For the sentiment, I trimmed the hexagon shape first, then stamped.
• Don't forget to get inspired by Stampin' Up!'s packaging ideas.  They often translate well into card layouts!

Today I'm sharing an adorable Lily Pond Lane and lovely Meandering Meadow cards.  PLUS a sneak peek from the Splendid Autumn Suite.

How'd She DO That? Lily Pond Lane card

• Stamps/Bundles: Charming Duck Pond or Sweetly Scripted-Online Exclusive
• Paper:
  • Balmy Blue or Garden Green (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Pretty Peacock or Berry Burst (3" x 4-1/4" ) 
  • Pretty in Pink or Highland Heather (1/2" x 4-3/4")
  • Lily Pond Lane or Meandering Meadow 6x6 Designer Series Paper (3-1/2" x 3-1/2")
• Ink:  Tuxedo Black Memento
• Other:  Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• To get this fun "scenic" look from the Designer Series Paper , position the 3-1/2" square into the landscape position.
• From left edge of DSP, use the Paper Trimmer to cut strips of  1-1/4", 1" and 3/4" (you'll be left with a 1/2" strip).
• Arrange DSP strips onto 3" x 4-1/4" layer.  I like to put the two outer edge strips on first about 1/4" from each end, then fill in with the rest of the strips.

Here's another example using the Online Exclusive products, Meandering Meadow 6x6 Designer Series Paper and the fabulous Sweetly Scripted stamp set.

And finally, here's a sneak peek of the Splendid Autumn Suite 

As you can see, I trimmed the Splendid Autumn 6x6 Designer Series Paper from the right edge this time.  That was to make sure the focus was more on the daisy print.

  • Very Vanilla (4" x 5-1/4" inside, 2-3/4" x 4") 
  • Mossy Meadow (3" x 4-1/4", scrap for small pine bough)
  • Season of Green & Gold Designer Series Paper (1-1/2" x 2-3/4")
• Ink:  Mossy Meadow
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder, Blending Brushes, Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim Combo Pack, Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries, Stampin' Seal, Glue Dots & Stampin' Dimensionals

 

DOstamping Tips:

• To add texture to your card, use an embossing folder.  
• Then add ink to the raised spots with a Blending Brush - to give added depth to your card!

DOstamping Tips:

• Use only two colors and enlist the "stamping-off" technique (stamping more than one-time without reinking) to give your cards some depth and color hues.
  • Stamp large 2 times without reinking - with Moody Mauve ink
  • Stamp small flower 3 times without reinking (note: ink up by using corner of Moody Mauve & Wild Wheat ink pads)
  • Stamp texture image 3 times without reinking - with Wild Wheat ink
  • Stamp sentiment with Moody Mauve ink.
• On white scrap, stamp large flower and die cut.  Trim off stem and adhere over large stamped flower with Stampin' Dimensionals.
