My Digital Studio Calendar: Our Sweet Peas Max and Sam

Look what we got in the mail?  This is our grandsons Max and Sam.  Aren't they CUTE?!

This is actually our monthly photo and letter (yes, letter too!) from the boys.  It's for our 2011 Calendar, which was created with Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio Software and Sweet Pea Digital Download Kit!

In fact, my daughter Angie and I are actually getting ready to work on our 2012 My Digital Studio Calendar soon.  This is a special project we do each year.  She gives to the Grandparents and Great Grandparents for Christmas.

This isn't any ordinary calendar, as we leave the photo area blank.  Yes, that's right.  It's blank because she sends everyone a photo of the boys each month (like the above photo).  It's the gift that keeps on giving.  Isn't that a great gift?

Here's some of the pages from 2011 - Sep, Oct & Nov.

DOstamping Celebrates Day #4: Meet Our Sweet P's!

Now that we're close friends, I'd like to introduce you to Our Sweet P's, Max and Sam!

Why are they called Sweet P's?  Because that's the title of our 2011 Calendar created with Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio.  FYI - their last name is Przezdziecki.  (Just try pronouncing that last name - I dare ya :).  It's much easier to say "Sweet P's.  Max is on the left and Sam is on the right - love those smiles.  I crack up every time I see this picture.

Some background:  Each year my daughter, Angie and I create 8 calendars for Christmas gifts.  We started doing them after Max was born.  He is now 4, so we'll be creating our 5th one this Nov/Dec.  The first two years they were all handmade.  Let me tell you - that's a lot of cardstock, adhesive and TIME!  We loved doing them!  But as life got busier, we were SO thankful that we could create them digitally.  As that tooks hours off the creation time.  We still get 8 copies printed through Stampin' Up! printing services.  Here's a couple months from this year's calendar:

What's so special about the way we do our calendar, is we leave a blank space for a photo.  Then each month, the boys (well, Angie) sends us a photo of themselves along with a cute little note.  That way the pictures are current, not ones from the previous year.  It's the gift that keeps on giving and everyone loves it!

I thought sharing these calendar photos today would be a great way of introducing DOstamping Celebrates Day#4 Blog Candy

  • My Digital Studio 2010 Calendar - I'm Giddy!!

I have been deliberating on how to share with you my awesome new My Digital Studio (MDS) 2010 Calendar.  Well...Sometimes procastination pays off!

With the launch of the new Stampin' Connection for Stampin' Up! demonstrators, sharing has become even easier and cooler!  I uploaded my MDS calendar photos to an "album" function and was able to get the code for a slide show (see below).  How cool is that?  Having said that...I'm hoping the slide show actually works in this blog post.  So you'll have to let me know; and how you like it!

Each year my daughter and I create 8 full calendars as gifts to all the grandparents & great grandparents to her two beautiful boys, Max and Sam.  Let me tell you...that's a lot of work.  Think about it, it's 96 scrapbook pages:  8 calendars, 2 packs of Designer Series Paper, 6 packs of cardstock, 1 pack of brads, 1 pack of Stampin' Dimensionals , 16 or more Snail Adhesive Refills. PLUS 3-full days of creating and assembling.  Phew, that's a lot of work.

But not anymore...with My Digital Studio, we reduced our creating time down to ONE day!  At Christmas time (well anytime!) - that's a huge time savings!

But better than that...My daughter and I are beyond happy with the results and quality of the calendars.  They are beautiful and passed our wildest expectations!

Below is a slide show presentation of the "2010 the story of...The Prezezdziecki Boys" (Pronounced fun is that?)

Hope you enjoyed the slide show!
