Curvy Keepsake Box Holiday Trio, 12 Week's of Christmas

Curvy Keepsake Box Holiday Trio

For week #2, I shared a couple of Holiday Character Curvy Keepsake Boxes.  Specifically the Santa and the Snowman boxes.  After I created the project sheet, I later created the Rudolph box (but it was after the publication deadline).  So I thought I'd share all three with you today.

Joyful Christmas Poinsettia: Blender Pen Technique

Speaking of that...I've been receiving a few questions on one of 12 Weeks of Christmas newsletter projects. - the Joyful Christmas Poinsettia card.  So I thought I'd share it here today, along with some tips.

Dawn's Blender Pen Technique Tip:

• This technique is great for a subtle watercolor look without as much work as traditional watercoloring
• Stamp and color in "stages"
• Stamp poinsettia image with Cherry Cobbler ink
• Immediately use Blender Pen to "blend and move" the ink color around
• Do not pick up ink color from the inkpad
• Just "pull" color directly from stamped image using a circular motion with the blender pen
• Be quick and don't over blend, as the paper will "pill" if overworked
• Not every area needs to be completely colored in
• Repeat for the leaves, stamping with Always Artichoke

Week#1 was my project, that was a card using Stampin' Up!'s Santa's List stamp set.  I shared a couple of options for a Quick & Cute (QC) layout.  Today here is another option using the same QC layout.  But with a twist...Santa's belt!    

I'm lovin' the addition of the belt and think it's my favorite!  Whether you need a few or a lot...this card could easily be mass-produced for your holiday cards in no time at all!

Q.  Dawn, I signed up for your newsletter, but I'm not receiving them.  Should I sign up again?

A.  No, as then you'll be in my system twice. Check your spam folder or junk filter to see if my emails are going there.  My email is: [email protected]  Wk#5 went out Monday, Feb 25th.

 

Q.  Is the Newsletter the same as your Blog Subscription Email?

A.  No, they are different.  My Newsletter is a series of newsletters done throughout the year.  6 Weeks at Sale-a-Bration, 6 Weeks at the new Catalog Release (starting in June) and 12 Weeks of Christmas (in the fall).  In addition, I send out newsletters here and there throughout the year, but no set schedule.

 

Q.  How can I tell which one I'm receiving?

A.  Good question!  Here's what they look like when they come into your inbox:

• Blog Email Subscription:  Email subject line always reads "DOstamping with Dawn (Olchefske)"
• Newsletter Email:  Email subject line will typically be the Week # of the various newsletter series I do throughout the year.

Sale-a-Bration Inspiration Newsletter: How to View

The first week of my DOstamping 6 Weeks of Sale-a-Bration Inspiration went out last Sunday, Jan 28th.  The next one is going out tomorrow, Feb 3rd.

I've received a few questions, so I that I'd take a minute to answer them here.  

Q.  I've signed up to receive your newsletter, but I haven't received anything yet.  Am I on your list? 
A.  Yes, you're on the list.  I do get this question a lot and 99% of the time, the newsletter has been received.  Here's what I recommend

• Check your spam filer/junk folder
• Add my email to your contact list: [email protected]

Q.  How do I get to the Inspiration Product PDF?
A.  That's a good question.  Essentially, what you are viewing when you first open my newsletter email, is a thumbnail view.  See below for tips for viewing in full-view: 

Here are the steps to view my DOstamping Sale-a-Bration Inspiration Newsletter

1. Open the email - your view of the newsletter will be a smaller version of the entire newsletter.  (Essentially a thumbnail view.)
2. You'll see this message at the top of the body of the email:
3. You need to CLICK on that message, which is a link to give you access to the FULL-VIEW version of the Newsletter
4. Once you're in Full-VIEW of my DOstamping 6 Weeks of Sale-a-Bration Inspiration Newsletter - listed under the picture of the weekly inspiration project, you'll find the following message:     CLICK HERE to print the Project PDF
5. The Inspiration Project PDF will open.  Print/Save for your enjoyment!
