Holiday Postage Stamps with Iconic Imagery Bundle

Today I'm sharing a cute holiday card featuring the Online Exclusive Iconic Imagery Bundle.

It was fun creating "postage stamps" for this card.  I loved the way everything came together.

How'd She DO That? Holiday Postage Stamp Card

• Stamps/Bundles: Iconic Imagery Bundle (includes dies)
• Paper:
  • Balmy Blue (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base, scrap for medium label die cut) 
  • Basic White (4" x 5-1/4" add texture with embossing folder, scraps for three perennial postage small square die cuts, scrap for large label die cut) 
• Ink:  Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue, Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, Perennial Postage Dies, Natural Tones Linen Thread (blue), Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

 

DOstamping Tips:

• Create "postage stamps" die cuts by stamping with the Iconic Imagery stamp set as follows:
  • Snowflake = Misty Moonlight & Balmy Blue for the splatter
  • Tree = Mossy Meadow (solid image was stamped-off)
  • Leaf = Mossy Meadow (solid image was stamped-off)
  • Berries = Cherry Cobbler (solid image was stamped-off)
• Use sponge dauber and Balmy Blue ink pad to add soft color to the postage stamp edges (TIPS: ink dauber and daub-off ink on scrap paper.  Just lightly touch dauber to edges of postage stamp die cuts.  For me - I wanted a very soft colored edge.  Practice on scraps first to get the look you want.)
