12 Days of Christmas-Day 4: Easy Split Panel Card with Take a Bow

Welcome to my DOstamping 12 Days of Christmas!

Today is Day #4 and I'm sharing a Quick & Cute Split Panel card (QC), using the Take a Bow Designer Series Paper.

This card was a mystery stamping activity that my DOstamperSTARS did at our monthly Zoom meeting last month.  My team member and friend, Robyn Rasset led our mystery stamping and we all loved it! 

How'd She DO That? QC Split Panel card

• Stamps:  Reindeer Fun ( Last Chance - 10% off)
• Paper:
  • Basic White Thick (11" x 4-1/4" card base)  or (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (2" x 4", 4" x 4-1/4") 
  • Take a Bow Designer Series Paper (eight of 1/2" x 2" strips)
• Ink:  Real Red
• Other: Paper Trimmer, Paper Snips, Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• You'll need eight 1/2" x 2" strips - in a variety of patterns/colors (Take a Bow Designer Series Paper).  Arrange and adhere the strips onto 2" x 4" white strip - set aside.
• On white 4" x 4-1/4", stamp sentiment along 4" bottom area (Reindeer Fun).
• Use Paper Snips to hand-cut a curved edge above the sentiment.  Adhere trimmed off sentiment to folded card base, centering around 3 edges at the bottom.  NOTE:  I used Stampin' Dimensionals near the bottom edge.  
• Adhere completed strip panel to card by tucking under curved edge of sentiment (I did add one Stampin' Dimensional to the sentiment piece at this time.  Then adhere top curved panel to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Add Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints.

This card is a great way to use up your scraps! I can see so many different ways of using this Split Panel Card layout.  Give it a try!

12 Days of Christmas-Day 2: Hidden Flap Fun Fold with Season of Green & Gold

Welcome to my DOstamping 12 Days of Christmas!  For Day #2, I'm sharing a Hidden Flap Fun Fold card featuring the Online Exclusive Season of Green & Gold Suite. 

The Hidden Flap Fun Fold card has been on my radar for quite some time.  At first look, it might seen hard.  But once you put one together, you'll find it's easier than it looks.

How'd She DO That? Hidden Flap Fun Fold card

• Stamps: Greetings of the Season
• Paper:
  • Mossy Meadow (two of 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" - score one at 1-3/8" &  2-3/4" and fold using a bone folder into a Z-fold with smaller flap on the left side, the other is the card base panel)
  • Mossy Meadow (2-3/8” x 4-1/4 for front flap, scrap for pine bough die cut)
  • Very Vanilla – (two of 2-1/2” x 4” one is for inside of card)
  • Season of Green & Gold Specialty Paper (1-1/2” x 2-1/2” - checked, two of 1-3/8” x 4” mossy meadow foliage 
  • Graceful Greenery Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper (die cut or fussy cut foliage)
• Ink:  Mossy Meadow
• Other:  Bone Folder, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Golden Greenery Dies, Gold & Silver 1/8” Trim Combo Pack, Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-Backed, Stampin' Seal

 

DOstamping Hidden Flap Fun Fold Card Tutorial:

• On Mossy Meadow card base panel, adhere both mossy meadow DSP strips on left & right edges.
• Adhere checked DSP to a Very Vanilla panel. Stamp sentiment above (slightly right and near the top – leaving room for the foliage die cuts).  Wrap panel with gold trim and tie into a bow.
• Adhere Mossy Meadow pine bough and Vellum foliage die cuts together and then adhere under trim.
• Adhere completed panel to outer left flap of Z-fold - matching left edges (only put adhesive on the flap).  Then adhere 2^nd Very Vanilla panel to inside of Z-fold. 
• Fold flat and adhere entire piece to center of card base panel.
• Add pearl berry where shown.

12 Days of Christmas-Day 1: Easy Reindeer Fun Bundle

Welcome to the first day of my 12 Days of Christmas!  Over the coming days I'll be sharing holidays cards, treat packaging and more.

For Day #1, I'm sharing an Easy Reindeer Fun Bundle card.

(inspired by Stampin' Up! Artisan, Bree Renwick)

 

How'd She DO That? Blending Brush Technique card

• Stamp/Bundle: Reindeer Fun Bundle (includes dies)
• Paper:
  • Basic White Thick  (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base)
  • Basic White (3-1/2" x 4-3/4", scrap for sentiment) 
  • Garden Green (3-5/8" x 4-7/8") 
  • Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper (3/4" x 3" trees, printed reindeer-die cut or fussy cut)
• Ink:  Pool Party, Real Red
• Other:  Blending Brushes, Paper Snips, Real Red & White Baker's Twine, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Stampin' Seal, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

 

DOstamping Blended Background Tips:

• On white panel, use Blending Brush to add Pool Party ink as shown.  TIPS: rub brush in a circular motion onto ink pad several times.  Then test on scratch paper.  Typically after inking up the brush, you'll want to pull some of the ink off on scratch paper before blending ink onto your project surface.  Repeat until you get the look you want. 
• Stamp snowflakes several times with Pool Party ink.  Adhere to Garden Green panel and then to folded card base.
• Then decorate as shown.

Clever Regal Flora Label Die Tip

Today I'm sharing a clever Regal Flora Label Die Tip that I discovered whiled playing with the Regal Winter Suite Collection.

How'd She DO That? Regal Flora Label Tag card

Autumn Abundance Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Today I'm sharing LOTS of cards that I created with the September Autumn Abundance Paper Pumpkin kit.  This had to be one of my favorite kits!  Love the colors, images, die cuts and even the printed envelopes!  

 

The refill kit sold out right away, so I didn't share back in September/October.  But I decided I waited long enough.  If you still have some Autumn Abundance leftovers and need some last minute Thanksgiving cards, you'll want to take a look...

Uses envelope flap and inside.

I used the leaf shape (from Everyday Celebration Add-On Dies-164991) and Textured Metallic Specialty Paper (copper) to cut additional leaves. 

I got a total of 32 cards from one kit...wow!  AND...I mailed them all out!  They were super fun to make!

Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper: 9-Square Card

Today I'm sharing a lovely holiday card featuring one of my favorite 9-square layouts, created with Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper  (from the Stampin' Up! 2024 Jan-Dec Mini Catalog)

How'd She DO That? Sentimental Christmas 9-Square card

• Stamps/Bundles: Decorative Trees (sentiment), Golden Greenery Bundle - includes dies
• Paper:
  • Basic White Thick (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (3-1/4" square, scrap for sentiment) 
  • Poppy Parade (3-1/2" square)
  • Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper (nine 1" squares, three of three designs)
• Ink:  Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce, Old Olive
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Labeled With Love Punch, Blooming Pearls, Gold Twisted Thread, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• Cut three patterns from the Christmas Sentimental Designer Series Paper into three 1" squares (from each pattern).  Arrange and adhere the 9 squares on the white 3-1/4" square.
• For the "greenery", I stamped the smaller detailed pine bough (Golden Greenery) with Old Olive and Shaded Spruce - both stamped off first.  Then I die cut - it didn't fit perfectly, but it was a good start.  Finished it up by fussy cutting some areas a little bit closer.
• For the sentiment I liked the Labeled With Love Punch shape, but wanted it smaller.  So with the punch upside down (so I could see the image), I cut it with the image close to the right edge.  Then I slid it back into the punch from the left edge and cut off the left edge (centering the image).  Love the way it turned out!
