DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #110: Holiday Home Bokeh Technique

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  This week we're having a Home Sweet Home Challenge!  

 When I saw this weeks Thursday Challenge, I immediately focused in on two things...the houses and the lights.  The lights reminded me of the lastest stamping technique trend called Bokeh (a blurred photography trick).  So here's my first try at Bokeh.

 

Not bad for my first try.  I will be teaching the Bokeh Stamping Technique at my Stamping Clubs in December and January.  And will be sharing a How'd She DO That? video later this month.  I'm looking forward to playing more with this technique.

Here's a closer look at the houses, which I added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to, with a 2-Way Glue Pen. The houses are colored uses ink pads and a Blender Pen.

DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #102: Bordering Blossoms

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  This week we're having a Color Challenge!

For today's Thursday Challenge card, I pulled out a couple of stamp sets that have yet to see ink to create a QC card (quick & cute).  

• Bordering Blooms - large flower is Island Indigo, smaller flower is Blackberry Bliss
• Age Awareness -greeting is Island Indigo, candles are Blackberry Bliss

At first glance, I didn't think the style of these sets would really go together very well, but I'm really happy with the results.  Both of these stamp sets are photopolymer and I'm really lovin' the see-thru clear.  It really makes the positioning of the Bordering Blooms images a snap!

You're probably wondering where I used the third color, Old Olive.  Look closer and you'll find it...Old Olive Bakers Twine.
