Stampin' Up! Minneapolis Regional Seminar: Workshop Wow, Envelope Scrapbook

I was so excited when Stampin' Up! contacted me to do a Workshop Wow at the Minneapolis Regional this past weekend.  They called two days before I left for the Stampin' Up! Hawaii Incentive Trip.  I knew I wouldn't have much time to prepare - but I said YES!  Couldn't help myself!

It was so much fun!  I demonstrated an Envelope Scrapbook.  I did this project with my scrapbook clubs last December.  They really liked it, so I decided to make up some samples using current product.

It's VERY simple!  All you need is 3 envelopes.  Adhere them together using the flaps.  That's it!  Well, of course you'll want to decorate it.

The scrapbook I designed is for my husband for Father's Day.  I married Gene when my girls were 6 & 8.  So he missed the baby years (diapers, terrible twos, etc).  We now have a grandson, Max (another grandbaby is on it's way - May 26th!).  Max is the light of our lives!  So now Gene gets to do all of the baby stuff.

Last fall we took Max to a local Apple Orchard and Petting Zoo.  I took over the camera duties (Gene is usually the photographer for our family).  You'll see why when you see my pictures.  So here's my album with Max and Grandpa!

Look at that cute little butt!  Hmm...not much of Gene showing?

Look at that cute little face!  Hmm...only got Gene's hand?

Hmm...Still not much of Gene in the picture?  Guess there's a reason that Gene is the family photographer!

I have a few more envelope scrapbook samples to share.  So stop on by again!

Supplies:  Sweet Serendipity & Trendy Trees stamp sets, Kraft Medium Envelopes, Urban Oasis Designer Series Paper, Basic Black & Kraft Cardstock, Basic Black & Close to Cocoa Classic Ink, Wide Oval Punch, Jumbo and Mini Library Clips

Here's another one of my Stampin' Up! Leadership Display samples that we made at my PMS Stamp Camp this past weekend.

This one uses the FREE Sale-A-Bration Botanical Blooms stamp set.  I love the light and springtime feel this card has.  It makes me long for spring.  I'm done with the winter snow and cold!

Flight of the Butterfly - Window

Boy - I wish I had the Scallop Border punch when I made this Flight of the Butterfly Convention Display Sample.   I made it the "old fashion" way using the corner rounder punch to create the scallop border.  Then stamped all of the little flowers in each of the scallops. Then came back through, dotting the flower centers with a Basic Black marker.

The "Window" is created with the 1 1/4 & 1 3/8 Square Punches.

The Butterfly was stamped on vellum, added glitter on the backside, then cut out.

Colors used:  Almost Amythst, Basic Black & Whisper White

Inspired by Nature - Jill's Passion

Growing up, music played a big part of my family.  I played the piano, guitar, oboe and saxaphone as well as sang in choirs from elementary school thru high school and church.

My sister Jill, also enjoyed many areas in music, playing percussion in band (specializing in the marimba xylophone).  Though - she especially loved singing.  She's continued with her singing with various church choirs.  Recently she started a ministry through her love of singing.  My daughter, Becky took some pictures of her for her marketing pieces.  So I used one of those pictures for one of my Convention Display 6x6 scrapbook pages.

Hidden Garden Rub-On's - Convention Display

This Convention Display sample actually doesn't use any stamp sets at all.  Instead, the focal point is a rub-on image from Stampin' Up! new Hidden Garden rub-on pack (found on pg 178).

TIP:  After transferring the rub-on to Whisper White cardstock, I noticed that the circle dots in the middle, where actually holes.  So I added a little Rose Red ink with a sponge dauber.  Then I punched in out with the 1 1/4" square punch.  Quick & easy focal point!

TIP:  To add color to the Flower Ribbon Slide (from the Style Silver Hodgepodge Hardware kit), just add re-inker to Crystal Effects.  Use a toothpick to add to the slide.

Single-Bloom

Supplies Used:  Hidden Garden Rub-ons, Rose Red, Whisper White, Basic Gray Cardstock, Rose Red Patterns DSP, Rose Red Classic Ink & Reinker, Crystal Effects, Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon, Ticket Corner, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" Square Punches, Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware, Sponge Dauber
