Inspired by Nature - Becky's Passion

I really love the greetings that come with the "Inspired by Nature" stamp set.  Especially the "Live With Passion" greeting.  It can describe so many scenarios and is a natural for scrapbooking.

Here's a 6x6 page of my daughter, Becky.  She has a vocal performance degree and has been in several original bands.  She is currently doing solo work as well as songwriting.  She's definitely "living her passion".

Supplies used:  Inspired by Nature stamp set, Whisper White, Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red Cardstock &/or inks.  Photo Corners Punch & Vintage Brads.

Eastern Blooms - Daisy Chain Invite & Tote

Here are a couple more Stampin' Up! Convention Display Samples.  These samples feature the new Eastern Blooms Stamp set and In-Colors Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss (my favorite!).  I love this color combo...add a little black and the colors really popped!

Here's all of the "double" embossed Daisy's I made!

To double emboss the Daisies:

First I stamped them with Versamark, then heat embossed with White embossing powder.  Next, I mixed Pumpkin Pie craft ink with Crystal Effects and added the Daisy center dots with a toothpick.  Then heat embossed with clear embossing powder.

If you like these samples - the Eastern Blooms stamp set is on sale for 15% here (see here).

Supplies used:  Eastern Blooms, Sincere Salutations, Hugs & Wishes stamp sets.  Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black & Whisper White Cardstock.  Basic Black & Versamark Ink,  Pumpkin Pie Craft Reinker.  White and Clear Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Crystal Effects.  Black Gingham Ribbon, Vintage Brads

Flight of the Butterfly - Daughter

This page features my daughter, Becky.  This is one of her pictures she had on her "My Space" site - so I grabbed it for this 6x6 page I made for one of my Stampin' Up! Convention Display Samples.  The small flower image comes from the new Flight of the Butterfly stamp set.

Supplies:  Flight of the Butterfly, Wonderful Favorites stamp sets, Basic Black, Basic Gray, Rose Red, Whisper White cardstock &/or ink.  Rose Red Patterns DSP, Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon, Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware

Flight of the Butterfly - in Motion

With this convention sample, I wanted to create the feeling of motion.  So in addition to using the new stamp set - Flight of the Butterfly, I used the now retired (but wasn't at the time I made the sample), So Much.  I had just received the "So Much" stamp set free at the Stampin' Up! Milwaukee Regionals this past spring.  I really liked the multiple rings image and thought that I would use it to simulate "flight".  I also added piercing marks with the paper piercer from the Crafters Toolkit.

The Butterfly was stamped on vellum and Dazzling Diamonds was added on the back side.  I really liked the way this card turned out.

Supplies used:  Flight of the Butterfly, So Much (retired) stamp sets, Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, Certainly Celery Whisper White, Basic Black cardstock &/or ink.  Vellum, Dazzling Diamonds, Crafter's Toolkit, Certainly Celery 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals.

Flight of the Butterfly - convention sample

Here's another of my convention samples using the new stamp set "Flight of the Butterfly" as shown on page 97 in the Stampin' Up! Fall Winter 2008 Idea Book & Catalog.  Hey- did you know, that this stamp is also featured in the spanish version catalog "celebrando creatividad" found on page 28.  Pretty cool, huh?

Supplies used:  Flight of the Butterfly, Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Basic Black, Certainly Celery and Whisper White cardstock &/or inks.  Certainly Celery 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Pretties Kit, Vintage Brads, Stampin' Dimensionals

Stampin' Up! 20th Convention Display Boards - Inspired by Nature

Here are some more of my Stampin' Up! Convention Display Artist Samples

These samples use the new stamp set "Inspired by Nature".  This is a double mounted background style stamp set. There are actually three flowers to the stamp image, but I was drawn to the one image and liked to stamp it several times (sometimes without re-inking).

I found this plaque at the Target Dollar Spot earlier this year.  It came in a set of three with a white hanging ribbons.  I traded out the ribbon for 5/8" Old Olive Grosgrain.  This was very quick and easy, but I really liked the way it turned out.

Both samples use:  Orchid Opulence, Chocolate Chip & Old Olive

Stampers Showcase Friends & Woohoo for me!

Here's a card that I made this winter that was recently featured on Stampers Showcase.

Hmmm...what is Stamper's Showcase?  It's a place on the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator's website where they share cards that demonstrators submit to Stampin' Up! for various reasons - contest submissions, swap cards, etc.  Each day they share six card ideas - it's one of the perks of being a SU demonstrator.

I submitted this card along with two others and two scrapbook pages to apply for a Convention Make & Take Display maker (all were featured on Stampers Showcase).  I was fortunate enough to be selected...woohoo for me!

(c) Stampin' Up! 1990-2008

This cards uses the Hostess Level III stamp set - Time Well Spent.  Oh - BTW...this was a stamp set that Stampin' Up! sent to every demonstrator last December.  Just another perk of being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator - FREE STAMPS!

The flower is actually heat embossed and watercolored.  Color is Pixie Pink, Pink Passion & Only Orange.
