Video: Mary Polcin's Interlocking Hearts Framelit Card

Back in March, I attended a Stampin' Up! Regional Event in Milwaukee.  My favorite swap I received was from Mary Polcin.  I oohed and aahed over her Interlocking Hearts Framelit card as soon as she handed to me.  She's one talented stamper.  I knew immediately I would be doing it at one of my Big Shot Club Classes. 

This summer I finally got around to doing it and it was a big hit with my club members!  Thank you Mary!!  My version (shown above) has one less framelit heart.  You can see her card on the video below.  Be sure to check it out, as you'll be surprised at just how easy it is to do!!

Sale-A-Bration Sweet Summer Swap: Same Yet Different

One of my favorite swaps I received at the Stampin' Up! Minneapolis Regional Seminar was from LuAnn Dehne.  She made this adorable Sweet Summer (2011 Sale-a-Bration) card.  Exactly what I was looking for, for my Stamp Out the Winter Blues stamp camp this past Saturday!

 

I didn't have a few of the supplies she used, so I changed up a couple things.  Take a look.

 

Here are my changes:

1.  I flipped the layout
2.  The greeting is from Sale-a-Bration stamp set...So Happy For You
3.  My card uses Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery (vs. LuAnn's card uses Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzaz)
4.  I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the center of the flowers (had to see in the picture)
5.  I added a strip of Soft Suede

Swap cards are the great starting point when making cards.  I find myself starting to duplicate the card, then veering off in a different direction to make it my own.

Stampin' Up! Regionals Mpls: Shelli Was Here!

What a fun weekend the DOstamperSTARS had!  Friday night we had a fun Shoebox Swap/Pizza Party with my friend Kelly Acheson and her downline!

 

 

Look what she gave me.  Isn't this adorable?  Not sure I'll be able to eat it, because it's just too darn cute!

 

Here's Shelli Gardner (CEO and Co-Founder of Stampin' Up!) with my group.  It was great for them to meet her in real life!

Stampin' Up! Mpls Regionals - Having a Blast Already!

Woohoo!  We're already having a blast at the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar.  We arrived last night and had a awesome night of stamping, food, laughter and fun with 32 of my stamping friends.  My DOstamperSTARS downline and guests hooked up with my friend Kelly Acheson's downline and guests for a Shoebox Swap and Pizza Party!  A great time was had by all. 

Now we head of to the Minneapolis Convention Center for a day filled with stamping tricks and tips, tons of displays, make & takes and more!  We hope to get our picture taken with Shelli Gardener (Co-Founder and CEO of Stampin' Up) too!
