11 Lovely Painted Christmas Samples from the STARS

One of the swaps my STARS team held last month was Painted Christmas Suite Sampler Square swap.  Jill shared all of them in one home décor frame.  You can see it on her blog HERE

I'm so proud of my DOstamperSTARS team.  Not only are they talented, but their willingness to share their beautiful creations is a gift my whole team is blessed to receive.  I need to do a better job of shining a spotlight on them - they deserve it!

The Painted Christmas Suite is probably my favorite suite from the 2021 July-Dec Mini Catalog.  And I'm excited to say, that most of the products will be carrying over (with the exception of the ribbon) - yay!!!  Which means, you'll be seeing lots of inspiration for another year!

Million Sales Achiever Stamp Set: Music from the Heart

I'm beyond excited that I can finally share my Million Sales Achiever stamp set with you!  It's called "Music from the Heart".  Which is perfect, as every time I look at, it makes my heart sing!

You might be wondering, "why music"?  That's a good question.

Growing up, music was a huge part of my life.  I played several instruments: oboe, guitar, saxophone, but particularly piano (classically trained).  I was in any band I could be in...concert band, jazz band, orchestra, musical theater practice piano and of course...marching band.  Officially - I'm a band geek!  I'm sure I have some fellow band geeks out there, right?  In addition, I sang in choirs and co-directed our church's children's choir for a couple of years.  

My girls were also in band and choir growing up (of course).  My daughter Becky is now a musician, singer/songwriter.   And now a 3rd generation is developing a love of music...my grandsons.  Max plays piano and percussion.  Sam plays saxophone.

So...music was a natural choice for me!

I was thrilled to be able to share my stamp set and samples at the Stampin' Up! Atlanta OnStage this month.  See below for my creations (note: I will be creating a couple of videos on how to use the stamp set, as well as some of the specific projects):

Features of  the "Music from the Heart" stamp set:

• Create your own greeting by mixing and matching images
• Curvy keyboard can be stamped multiple times to create a border
• Music notes can be stamped randomly on music staff, or stamp out a favorite tune ie: Happy Birthday 
• Songbirds can be stamped on music staff 
• Stamp the treble clef, then 2-step stamp the partial guitar image to create a "full" artsy guitar

• Use the Timeless Label Punch to put this sweet sentiment front and center!

• Use the keyboard image to create a custom background piece

• Use the music staff image to create an interesting background piece

 

• Combine the guitar and Stitched Stars Dies for a fun rockin' card
• Note:  the Stitched Stars Dies are from the Holiday Catalog and will be carrying over - yay!

• Create mini records with the 1-1/2" and 1/2" Circle Punches

• Stamp on "balloons" cut out with the Balloon Bouquet Punch
• Change from classic colors to fun color combos for some quick cards!

 

• Take a closer look at the Heart Epoxy Droplets.  All 3 sizes will fit an image in the stamp set!

• Use the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add glimmer and color in the center of the guitars

• Tip for the "grid" square:  Stamp music staff horizontally, and then vertically.
• The word "music" uses the Lined Alphabet stamp set and Real Red Stampin' Blends

Last, but not least...Grand Piano Easel Card (watch video here)

I didn't get to play a grand piano very often - only at recitals.  But when I did, it made me feel like a real musician!

I'm excited to share four Fable Friends creations made by one of my DOstamperSTARS team members, Connie Plaumann.  

8" x 8" Sampler - Connie is the queen of samplers!

Sweet bunny card!

These little baskets come together in no time at all. 

• Score a 6" x 6" piece of cardstock at 2” on all sides. 
• Then cut on two of the lines (on one side) up to the 2” score line (repeat on opposite side).   
• Fold flaps you fold in and attach together (use adhesive, brads or stapler). 
• Then decorate.

Birthday Sampler: Minion Punch Art Video with Sampler Tips too!

Each Wednesday this month, I'll be featuring some fun projects to celebrate birthdays!  Why?  Because it's my birthday this month (the 18th, wink, wink)! 

First up is a Birthday Seasonal Sampler that I did with my DOstamperSTARS.  These are 2-1/4" squares that we swap with each other.  We did these last spring using products from the 2014 Occasions Catalog.  In May, I shared a different set of 9 squares (see Kaleidoscope Birthday Sampler), but I never shared the rest of the squares with you. The DSP is no longer available, but of course - the basic colors are.  There's also tons of inspiration from their clever punch art.  Plus - check out the Minion Punch Art square!

Seasonal Sampler Squares: Kaleidoscope Birthday Theme (you're gonna love it!)

Today I'm sharing a favorite of my customers.  They keep oohing and aahing over it It's the DOstamperSTARS latest birthday themed Seasonal Sampler Squares Swap.  The STARS went nuts for this theme and outdone themselves.  

First, here's one of my squares - Party Owl:

Basic details of the Birthday Themed Seasonal Sampler:

• 132995 Kaleidoscope DSP 2" squares (from Occasions Catalog - ending May 31st)
• Mount onto 2-1/4" squares (coordinating colors include: Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush, Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Whisper White)
• Mount onto 7-1/8" square of Whisper White
• Then mount onto larger square of cardstock or DSP to fit your frame.  (My frame is 9" square, found it at Walmart)

Seasonal Sampler: Easter/Springtime with Sweet Sorbet

If you're a follower of my blog, you may have noticed that my downline group, DOstamperSTARS have started swapping 2-1/4" squares to create Home Decor Wall Art - which we call Seasonal Samplers.  Last month our theme was Easter/Springtime using the FREE Sale-a-Bration Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper (free with $50 order through 3/31).  

These were my 2 squares (we each swap 2 squares).

Here's my finished "wall art" using 9 squares to complete my sampler.  There were plenty of leftover squares to create another piece or to use on cards - like I did here.  

  

Didn't it turn out cute?!  I'm lovin' these samplers.  I can tell you are lovin' them too, as I receive several questions each time I post one.  See below for FAQs.

Seasonal Sampler FAQ's

Q: What size are the squares?
A:  We swap a decorated 2" square and then mount them ourselves onto 2-1/4" squares.

Q:  How do you get them positioned so nicely?
A:  If you look closely, you'll see a white matte that measures 7-1/8" square.  This helps a lot to get them positioned just right.

Q:  What size frame are you using?
A:  This frame is a 10x10 shadowbox frame.  I've used other size square frames 9-1/2", 12" - whatever I can find that is a square shaped frame.  I remove the glass piece to accomodate the bulk of some of the embellishments and punch art.
