DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge #137: Wild About Flowers

It's time for another DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge.  This week we're having a Home Sweet Home challenge.

When I saw this week's Thursday Challenge, I was immediately drawn to the flower pots. So I decided to bring out the new Wild About Flowers stamp set again. 

I like the way the color pops against the neutral background.  The flowers were stamped (colors listed in supply list below), then punched with the NEW 1-1/2" Circle Punch.  Pop up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Take a closer look...I added a little bit of texture.  Here's how:

• Start with a piece of 4" x 5-1/4" Crumb Cake cardstock
• With  4" side against the top of the Simply Scored board.  Score every 1/8" starting at 1", ending at 1-5/8" (total of six score lines)
• Flip over (this will now be the front of the card)
• Tie Linen Thread around twice, positioning under the grooved lines

I think it added a nice little touch.  Plus it reminds me of the "siding" in the challenge photo.  So, what do you think...like it?

Flowering Flourishes: Fancy Fold Screen Divider Card Video

Have you made a Fancy Fold Screen Divider Card yet?  They are all the rage!  

We did this card at my club class this month and one of my club members said, "oh oh, this card looks too hard".  Are you thinking the same thing?  Guess what...it's not hard at all.  In fact, she was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to make. Easy Scentsational Season Cocoa Packet Wow Video!

Here's another DOstamperSTARS Camp-a-Rama Event project that was a big hit...the super easy Scentasational Season Cocoa Packet Holder.  According to DOstamperSTAR Laurie Zoellmer...it was a big WOW and she can't stop talking about it.

For this project, I enlisted the help of fellow demonstrator, sideline Jolene Jacobs.  I designed the cocoa packet and she added the stamping.  What a great team!

And yes - I did make a video.  In fact...it's my 10-Minute Tuesday Video (that I know many of you have been asking when I would be doing these again.  I'm gonna try my best to get back on track.  I didn't realize that you guys LOVED them and was missing them.)

What's a 10-Minute Tuesday video?  That's when I videotape a project from beginning to end.  They generally take longer for me to videotape and edit.  For my other videos, I usually only share tips and how-to's that don't seem obvious from the project photo.

Apothecary Arts Double Fold Gate Card - Simple But Wow!

Ooh - I went all giddy and everything when I saw today's card technique - Double Fold Gate Card.  My friend Rachel Tessman showed it me and I knew right away my club members would love it!!  So, this was one of our Stamping Club Projects this month.  And yes, it was a hit!!
