  • Basic White (1-5/8" x 3-3/4" for large sentiments, 1-5/8" x 3-1/4" for smaller sentiments
  • Sale-a-Bration Fruit Salad Designer Series Paper (4" x 5-1/4")
• Ink: Granny Apple Green, Pecan Pie, Real Red, Coastal Cabana
• Others:  Paper Trimmer, Petal Pink & White 1/4" Diagonal Trim Combo Pack, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

 

DOstamping Tips:

• Place TWO 4" x 5-1/4" pieces of Fruit Salad Designer Series Paper with side A facing up for one and side B facing up on the second panel, together into a Paper Trimmer.
• Place top left corner at the 1/2" mark on the right side of the cutting groove and position the bottom right corner at the 1/2" mark on the left side of the cutting groove and cut diagonally (as shown in the photo).
• You'll have enough to make two cards with both side A and B on both cards.

Stamping with the STARS #440: Sketch with Hugs For Love Bundle

Today's sketch makes for a quick & cute card.  Everything is justified to the right, so the only measurement that is a little tricky is the Petunia Pop matte.  See measurements below.

 

How'd She DO That? Lots of Hugs & Kisses card

As I was putting this card together, It was feeling a little bit "empty".  It needed a little something else.  I looked more closely at the stamp set and discovered a small 6-hearts border stamp. It was the perfect image to stamp a heart border around the edges of the white panel.   A great way to add some interest without overpowering the "white space".  I had to pat myself on the back for that one!

What do you think?

 

DOstamping Tip:

• If you look closely, you'll see blue heart sequins, which we don't have.
• BUT...we do have gold Heart Sequins and a way to color them.
• Get out your Summer Splash Stampin' Blends and color a small & medium heart sequin, and you have a perfect match!

Stamping with the STARS #439: Easy A Little Bit Festive Cocoa Holder

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Stamping with the STARS Inspiration Hop #DOswts439.  Today it's our pleasure share a Sketch Inspiration with you.

It's also Day #11 of my DOstamping 12 Days of Christmas!

As I was playing with the A Little Bit Festive Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) this week, I found a couple of adorable die cuts...hot cocoa cup and gingerbread man.  I felt they needed to be the focal point an easy Cocoa Packet Holder.  I took a few liberties with the Sketch, but I think the spirit of it is there.

How'd She DO That? Cocoa Packet Holder

• Paper:
  • Real Red (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" holder score at 4-1/4") 
  • Basic White (scrap for largest Nested Essentials rectangle die) 
  • Joyful Saying Mis & Match Ephemera Pack - LAST CHANCE - From the North Pole banner die cut
  • A Little Bit Festive Specialty Designer Series Paper - LAST CHANCE (2-1/2" x 4" for inside, 7/8" x 5-1/4", die cuts)
• Other:  Paper Trimmer, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Take Your Pick Tool Real Red & White Baker's Twine, Real Red & White Peppermints, Stampin' Seal+, Tear & Tape Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, office handheld hole punch

 

DOstamping Tips:

• Create holder: 
  • Fold holder in half.  On front only, mark 1" from left folded edge on top and 2-3/4" down on right open edge.  Diagonally cut from 1" mark to 2-3/4" mark.
  • While closed cut tree holes using handheld hole punch (I used 1/4").
  • Open packet, put tear and tape adhesive on very bottom inside edge (as shown).  NOTE:  you can also add the 2-1/2" x 4" top inside DSP piece at this time too.  Close and seal tightly.
  • Thread a 14" piece of twine from top of holes to bottom and back up to top, crossing over previous thread.  At top, thread on "north pole" die cut (used Take Your Pick Tool and poke a hole), and tie into a bow.

• Adhere DSP strip and white rectangle die cut to front of packet as shown.
• Adhere gingerbread man die cut to back of cocoa cup die cut and adhere to packet with Stampin' Dimensionals.  Finish off with a few Real Red & White Peppermints.
• Inside hot cocoa packet and give away to someone special!

Stamping with the STARS #438: Sketch with Rustic Crate & More

I had pulled out the Rustic Crate stamp set a few weeks ago, eyeing the poinsettia image.  So that's what I went with.

I hadn't used my Stampin' Blends in awhile.  It was fun to do a little bit of coloring.  They always make me feel like an artist.

• The Reindeer Fun Dies caught me by surprise as I die cut the pieces to make the reindeer head.
• All you need are the 3 deer head die cuts in three different colors.
• Assemble them together with your favorite adhesive and you'll see the ears, eyes and nose appear before your own eyes!
• Voila...a super adorable deer in no time at all!

Stamping with the STARS #436: Sketch with Nests of Winter

The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Stamping with the STARS Inspiration Hop #DOswts436.  Today it's our pleasure share a Sketch Inspiration with you.

For today's sketch, I reached for the Nests of Winter Suite Collection of products.  

Sometimes the hardest part of doing a sketch is to decide which products you want to use.  As I had just finished sorting for my product shares, by husband noted that the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper was his favorite.  (Yep - my husband actually sorts all of my pattern paper and then I cut it up.) 

So that's what I chose for today.  It was a good choice, don't you think?

How'd She DO That? Nests of Winter Sketch card

  • Gray Granite (5-1/2" x 8-1/2" card base, 5/8" x 2-3/8 sentiment, scrap for 2-7/8" Deckled Circle die cut) 
  • Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper (DSP) (4" x 5-1/4" horizontal birch pattern, 3" x 4" trees/birds pattern, scrap for large bird pattern 2-1/2" Stylish Shapes circle die cut)
• Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Deckled Circles Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Earth Tone Shimmer Gems, Stampin' Seal,  Stampin' Dimensionals

 

The photo doesn't show it, but I used the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to add glitter to the foliage.  In person, it's a nice touch.

Time For Cake Paper Pumpkin Kit - Three Alternative Ideas!

Today I'm sharing three alternative cards I made with the fun Time For Cake Paper Pumpkin kit!

 

DOstamping Tips - Card #1

• Use scraps to 1/4" strips of coordinating paper (including from the kit envelopes).
• I recommend stamping the "sparkle" images first
• Attach strips to line up with sparkles.  

 

DOstamping Tips - Card #2

• Using the Labeled With Love punch, cut from three different card bases &/or envelopes.
• Cut labels in half.  Arrange and adhere in on white panel about 1/2" apart.
• Use a 3/4" strip of white for the sentiment (to cover the space between the labels)

 

DOstamping Tips - Card #3

• I used the Card Template from pg 22 in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalog (last template in the 2nd row).
• White squares are 1-3/4"

This kit was SO MUCH FUN to play with!  I'm looking forward to playing with the next kit, Autumn Abundance.
