Stamp Camps

Punch Bunch goes Masculine!

Here's another card we did at my "Stamp Out The Winter Blues" stamp camp this past weekend.  The card features the Punch Bunch stamp set, which is free with a $50 order!

I was getting down to the wire getting my cards ready for this camp and I came across this card on Stampin' Up! CEO and Co-Founder Shelli Gardner's blog.  I thought it had a great masculine feel to it.  Perfect to round out the selection of cards for the camp.  Plus - if it's good enough for Shelli, it's good enough for me!

Punch-Bunch-Birthday

1.PushPin-Note-Reminder Dawn's Stamping Tips

1.  Stamp the "Happy Birthday" image twice (from the free Punch Bunch stamp set), once in Crumb Cake and once in More Mustard.  Then cut out the HB in the More Mustard one.

2.  The scallop trim is done with the Tastefully Trim XL Die for the Big Shot (still available for purchase #120893).  This is a long die.  Cut 1-1/4" x 11" pieces...one in Very Vanilla and one in More Mustard.  Adhere the two together, then adhere to the card.  There will be enough for two cards.

Sale-A-Bration Sweet Summer Swap: Same Yet Different

One of my favorite swaps I received at the Stampin' Up! Minneapolis Regional Seminar was from LuAnn Dehne.  She made this adorable Sweet Summer (2011 Sale-a-Bration) card.  Exactly what I was looking for, for my Stamp Out the Winter Blues stamp camp this past Saturday!

LuAnn-Dehne

I didn't have a few of the supplies she used, so I changed up a couple things.  Take a look.

Sweet-Summer

Here are my changes:

1.  I flipped the layout
2.  The greeting is from Sale-a-Bration stamp set...So Happy For You
3.  My card uses Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery (vs. LuAnn's card uses Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzaz)
4.  I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the center of the flowers (had to see in the picture)
5.  I added a strip of Soft Suede

Swap cards are the great starting point when making cards.  I find myself starting to duplicate the card, then veering off in a different direction to make it my own.

Ho Ho Hostess Apprecation Event: Bingo Fun!!

Here's more fun we had at my Annual Hostess Appreciation event...BINGO!

First, I had to figure out what I was going to use for bingo pieces.  The had a "lightbulb" moment and candy to the rescue.  I wrapped up some M & M's and a Bliss candy square (for the free spot) in a Stampin' Up! small cello bag and twist tied if off with the awesome Silver Tinsel Trim (which happens to be on a thin wire - love it!!)

Ho Ho Hostess Apprecation Event: MDS Invitation and Make & Takes

I held my Annual Hostess Appreciation event this past Sunday.  Actually, it was supposed to be the Sunday before, but here in Minnesota, we got slammed with LOTS of snow that day.  So I had to reschedule.

I created the invitation using My Digital Studio.  I love the way it turned out!  If you were in my clubs or had a workshop in 2010, you were invited to my special event.

Invite-Header

Here are the projects everyone got to make:

Projects

They made a Christmas Card, Fancy Favor Double Stacked Gift Box and a Gift Card Holder.

If you don't recognize the pattern paper, that's because it's from a retired Simply Scrappin' kit.  But you could use Stampin' Up!'s Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper instead.  The poinsettia's were made with the 5-Petal Flower Punch,.  The greeting is from the Contempo Christmas stamp set.  If you'd like more information on the gift box and gift card holder see the links below for measurements and videos:

Holly and Jolly Rub-on's: Christmas Trees

Here's the last of my Holly and Jolly Rub-on's, that uses the Holiday Tree images.  I've paired it again with the Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper and the wonderfully soft Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon (from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog)!

Stand by for tomorrow for the adorable Stationary Pack I made to hold all four Holly and Jolly cards/envelopes!

Trees

Cherry Cobbler is swiftly turning into one of favorite new colors (of which there are six)!  It's such a beautiful deep rich red hue.  If you haven't got your Cherry Cobbler Classic ink yet - I highly recommend getting it in the New Color Retrofit Kit.  Check out the details below:

Holly and Jolly Rub-on's: Merry & Bright II

Here's another "no stamping" holiday card made with Stampin' Up!'s Holly and Jolly Rub-on's.  By the way...these rub-ons are a perfect match to Stampin' Up!'s Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper.

Merry-&-Bright

For the Merry & Bright greeting...I first cut out the rub-on I wanted to us, then applied it to a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.  Then I punched it out with Scallop Circle punch.  Also - the small Old Olive polka dots - those are rub-on's too!

So, there you go!  In no time at all - you've got a fun holiday card ready to go!
