Autumn Abundance Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Today I'm sharing LOTS of cards that I created with the September Autumn Abundance Paper Pumpkin kit.  This had to be one of my favorite kits!  Love the colors, images, die cuts and even the printed envelopes!  

 

The refill kit sold out right away, so I didn't share back in September/October.  But I decided I waited long enough.  If you still have some Autumn Abundance leftovers and need some last minute Thanksgiving cards, you'll want to take a look...

Uses envelope flap and inside.

I used the leaf shape (from Everyday Celebration Add-On Dies-164991) and Textured Metallic Specialty Paper (copper) to cut additional leaves. 

I got a total of 32 cards from one kit...wow!  AND...I mailed them all out!  They were super fun to make!

Splendid Autumn Suite: Perfectly Lovely Card

Today I'm sharing a lovely card using the September - December 2024 Mini Catalog Splendid Autumn Suite,

I typically stick to the Stampin' Up! colors listed for Designer Series Paper.  But Petal Pink for calling out to me for this lovely pattern from the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper. I'm glad I used it as it turned out perfectly lovely!

 

How'd She DO That? Splendid Autumn Suite card

• Stamps/Bundles: Autumn Expressions Bundle - includes dies 
• Paper:
  • Petal Pink  (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Copper Clay (2-1/8" x 5-1/2", 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" for photo frame die cut, scrap for leaf die cut)
  • Very Vanilla (4-1/4" x 5-1/2" for photo frame die cut)
  • Splendid Autumn 6x6 Designer Series Paper (2-1/8" x 5-1/4")
• Ink:  Copper Clay
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Wild Wheat ⅜” Rustic Striped Ribbon, Baker's Twine Essential Pack, Woven Golden Leaves, Faux Glass Dots,  Stampin' Seal, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals

 

 DOstamping Tips for Modified Frame:

• Trim off thinner side of photo frame die cut (including “tabs”) as shown.
• Wrap 7” of ribbon around middle of frame - with excess on right side. Use glue dots to secure ribbon to right edge.  Then wrap vanilla baker’s twine around ribbon and tie into a bow.
• On frame's right edge, use glue dots to adhere Woven Golden Leaf to back and Cajun Craze leaf die to front.  Then adhere frame to card using glue dots.
• On smaller Very Vanilla “label”, stamp sentiment. Adhere to center of frame with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Last Day, Day #7 of Sweet Days of Autumn: Weaved Cards

Welcome to Day #7, my last day of my Week of Sweet Days of Autumn.  I'm sharing inspiration for the new Sweet Days of Autumn products from the Scrapbooking Brochure.

When I think of autumn, besides leaves and fall colors, I think of quilts and baskets.  Today's card is a nod to that.  This quick & cute card comes together fast and great for pattern paper scraps.

How'd She DO That? Weaved Card

• Stamps: Autumn to Remember
• Paper:
  • Cajun Craze (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base)
  • Basic White (3-3/4" x 5") 
  • Autumn to Remember Two Tone Early Espresso - light (3-7/8" x 5-1/8")
  • Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper  (3/8" x 5-1/4" four different strips )
• Ink: Cajun Craze
• Other:  Faux Glass Dots , Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Seal

 

DOstamping Tips:

• On white panel, arrange and "weave" the four strips of Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper.  Then adhere with Multipurpose Liquid glue.  Trim off any excess from edges.
• Stamp sentiment with Cajun Craze ink using Autumn to Remember stamp set.
• Adhere completed panel to Autumn to Remember Two Tone Cardstock, Early Expresso (light).  Then adhere to folded card base.
• Attach my favorite Faux Glass Dots.

 

I will definitely be making more weave style cards in the near future.  It's a fabulous layout for large sentiments!

How'd She DO That? Bountiful Blessing Telescoping card

• Stamps: Autumn to Remember
• Paper:
  • Pecan Pie (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base)
  • Basic White (4" x 5-1/4") 
  • Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper (3/4" x 4" grid, 5/8" x 4" old olive)
• Ink: Pecan Pie, Old Olive
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Nested Essentials Dies, Pecan Pie 3/8" Center Stripe Ribbon, Faux Glass Dots , Stampin' Seal, Mini Glue Dots, Foam Adhesive Strips

 

DOstamping Tips:

• On white panel, adhere DSP strips to the left edge.
• Stamp sentiment with Pecan Pie ink and trees with Old Olive ink using Autumn to Remember stamp set.
• Arrange the 3 smallest Nested Essentials rectangle dies over trees & sentiment as shown.  Secure with a sticky note and die cut.
• Wrap ribbon around large stamped panel and tie into a knot.  Adhere to folded card base.
• Starting with the largest die cut, adhere inside die cut "window" area with Foam Adhesive Strips.  Then the middle size die cut, adhere with strips cut from Mini Dimensionals.  Then adhere smallest piece with Seal Adhesive.

Day #5 of Sweet Days of Autumn: Five Sticker Sheet Cards

Welcome back to Day #5 of my Week of Sweet Days of Autumn.  I'm sharing inspiration for the new Sweet Days of Autumn products from the Scrapbooking Brochure.

I fun creating these 5 cards using the Sticker Sheet from the Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper & Sticker Sheet product (166609)

• The stickers have a nice cardstock feel to them - perfect for both scrapbooking and cardmaking.

How'd She DO That? Sweet Deer Sticker Sheet card

• Paper:
  • Pecan Pie (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (4" x 5-1/4") 
  • Cajun Craze (2-3/8" Circle Punch)
  • Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper (two of 1” x 4” Cajun Craze & Old Olive, 1-1/2” x 3-1/2” grid)
  • Sticker Sheet (deer and sentiment stickers)
• Other:  2 3/8" Circle Punch, Faux Glass Dots , Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

 

DOstamping Tips:

• Arrange Cajun Craze DSP strip first, then grid pattern DSP and finish with Old Olive strip - as shown.
• The deer sticker is 2" and is matted perfectly with our 2-3/8" Circle Punch.
• For the "grateful heart" sticker, cut a small strip from the edge of a sheet of Stampin' Dimensionals and place on the overhanging right edge.

 

 

How'd She DO That? Give Thanks Sticker Sheet card

• Paper:
  • Crumb Cake (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Basic White (4" x 5-1/4") 
  • Pecan Pie (2-3/4" x 4-1/4")
  • Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper (2-1/4" x 3-1/4" to die cut largest Nested Essentials banner - then cut in half and adhere top and bottom pieces to card as shown)
  • Sticker Sheet (give thanks)

The next set of three cards were made using our Note Cards & Envelopes.  I thought they would be a good size to show off the smaller stickers!

 

And of course, my first one is my favorite hedgehog.  She is SO cute...don't you think?

 

DOstamping Tips:

• I don't always like to stamp directly onto Note Cards, because I'll probably make some stamping mistakes (yes, I make mistakes).  So I prefer to stamp on a 3-3/4" x 4-7/8" piece of white, then add it to the note card when I'm done stamping.
• Start off by stamping two lines of the border image with Crumb Cake ink (from Autumn to Remember stamp set).
• To matte the sticker, I die cut Autumn to Remember Two-Toned 12" x 12" Cardstock (lighter side of Petal Pink) with the 2nd smallest Nested Essentials rectangle die.   I partial die cut it again (just at one end) to get the size I wanted, (approximately  1-1/2" x 1-3/4" die cut the long end).

Day #4 of Sweet Days of Autumn: Triple Time Stamping with a Twist and an Oops!

Welcome back to Day #4 of my Week of Sweet Days of Autumn.  I'm sharing inspiration for the new Sweet Days of Autumn products from the Scrapbooking Brochure.

Today I'm featuring a card using the technique called Triple Time Stamping.

 

 

If you've never made a Triple Time Stamping Technique card, you're in for a treat.  It's probably one of my most popular videos from the past - see it here. 

The twist is...today's card uses different measurements with a horizontal sentiment.  Be sure to check out my tips below, along with my "oops".

 

How'd She DO That? QC Crisp Autumn Days card

• Stamps:  Autumn to Remember
• Paper:
  • Cajun Craze (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base, 2-1/2" x 4-1/2", 2-1/4" x 3") 
  • Basic White (4" x 5-1/4", 2-1/4" x 4-1/4", 2" x 2-3/4" ) 
• Ink:  Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Pecan Pie
• Other:  Linen Thread, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

 

 

The key to the Triple Time Technique is to stamp ALL three pieces as the same time.  See tips below

DOstamping Tips:

• Temporarily layer the three white pieces as shown.  Use just a couple of dabs of adhesive and press gently so they stay in place while stamping.
• Start stamping with the largest image and work down to the smallest image.
  • Stamp sentiment on the small white piece first = Cajun Craze
  • Then stamp large maple leaf a few times all over all three pieces = Cajun Craze
  • Then stamp oak leaf a few times all over all three pieces = Crushed Curry
  • Fill in "white areas" with the small maple leaf stamp = Pecan Pie
  • Optional:  this is where I "oops".  I apparently had some ink on my fingers and smeared some onto the pieces, ugh!  (see the inked fingerprints?)  At first I was disappointed.  But instead, I decided to leaned into the mistake and added more "fingerprints" to the panels.  Touched your finger lightly to the ink pad, dabbed some off on scratch paper, then dabbed all over the panels.  Repeat as desired.  I kind of liked the effect afterall.  

 

• If you don't want an "oops" on your card, I recommend washing your hands before the next stop - ha!
• Gently pull apart the 3 stamped pieces.  Adhere large piece to card base and the others to their corresponding Cajun Craze pieces.
• Wrap Linen Thread around the middle sized piece and tie into a bow.  Then adhere to card where shown, lining up stamped images.
• Adhere sentiment piece to card with Stampin' Dimensionals, lining up stamped images.

Ever since I saw this trick on how to "stretch" out the length of a punched shape, I've been making a few cards using the technique.  What a clever idea, don't you think?

  • Basic White (3-1/4" x 4-1/4", scrap for sentiment stamp & die cut) 
  • Mossy Meadow (3-1/2" x 4-1/4", 3/8" x 4-1/4") 
  • Iconic Celebrations 6x6 Designer Series Paper (scraps from 3 patterns - cut with Labeled With Love Punch)
• Ink:  Pecan Pie
• Other:  Labeled With Love Punch, Paper Snips, Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Perennial Postage Dies, Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots, Stampin' Seal, Stampin' Dimensionals

• Choose 3 coordinating patterns from the Iconic Celebrations 6x6 Designer Series Paper
• Cut a shape from each pattern using the Labeled With Love Punch.
• Use scissors to cut punched DSP labels in half.  Arrange and adhere to white piece, as shown. 
• Adhere 3/8" strip of Mossy Meadow to 3/4" strip of Pecan Pie.  Then adhere to center of label panel, as shown.

Autumn To Remember: Telescoping Techique

Today I'm sharing a fun Telescoping Technique card.  

It's made with some new autumn products found in the September 2024 Scrapbooking Brochure.  I'm particularly drawn to autumn colors, so I had to have these new products!

  • Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper (4" x 5-1/4", 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" to die cut largest Nested Essentials rectangle )
• Ink:  Cajun Craze
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Nested Essentials Dies, Linen Thread, Faux Glass Dots, Stampin' Seal, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, Foam Adhesive Strips

 

DOstamping Telescoping Sentiment Tips:

• On the light side of 2-1/2" x 4-3/4" Petal Pink Two-Toned (Autumn To Remember Cardstock), stamp sentiment in the middle (from Autumn to Remember stamp set).
• Arrange three Nested Essentials dies over the sentiment
• Keep together by using sticky notes and then die cut.
• On card - adhere smallest die cut with Seal Adhesive, next size up with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (or cut small strips for sides of Mini Stampin' Dimensionals sheets),  then adhere largest die cut with Foam Adhesive Strips.

 

How cute did this turn out?  SO cute!!  It's a great idea for Thanksgiving cards.
