Day #3 of Sweet Days of Autumn: September Interlocking Gatefold Card

Welcome back to Day #3 of my Week of Sweet Days of Autumn.  I'm sharing inspiration for the new Sweet Days of Autumn products from the Scrapbooking Brochure.

 

You know I had to make a fun fold card - as they are some of my favorite style of cards. This one is called a Interlocking Gatefold Card.

This card would be great for September milestone birthdays, September wedding or anniversary or more!

 

How'd She DO That? September Interlocking Gatefold card

• Stamps: Autumn to Remember
• Paper:
  • Crumb Cake (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base - score at 2-1/8 & 6-3/8" fold ends to meet in the center = gatefold) 
  • Basic White (4" x 5-1/4" inside, 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" pattern stamping, 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" for sentiment) 
  • Cajun Craze (two of 1-5/8" x 4", 2" x 4" for sentiment)
  • Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Series Paper (scraps for two different colored Nested Essentials small banners)
• Other:  Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, Nested Essentials Dies, Linen Thread, Faux Glass Dots , Stampin' Seal, Mini Glue Dots

You might be thinking that some of the panels are printed pattern paper, but they are not.  With a closer look, you'll see that I stamped those panels.  I really enjoy making my own designs by mixing and matching stamping images and create my own patterns.  See below for my tips.

DOstamping Tips:

• On 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" white piece, use Autumn to Remember stamp set to stamp the diagonal pattern.   
  • Use small maple leaf (Cajun Craze & Crushed Curry inks) and border (Pecan Pie).
  • Note: rotate leaf images to make them appear like they are falling.  
• Cut stamped piece in half to create two 1-3/8" x 3-3/4" pieces.  Adhere to 1-5/8" x 4" Cajun Craze pieces.
• On 1-3/4" x 3-3/4" which piece, stamp sentiment.  Adhere to 2" x 4" Cajun Craze piece.
• Arrange all three stamped pieces onto folded gatefold card as shown.  Adhere top & bottom pieces first, to LEFT side only.  Then adhere center piece to RIGHT side only.
• Use glue dots to adhere DSP banner die cuts to back of center panel.  Tie linen thread into a bow and adhere to banners.
• Finish with my favorite Faux Glass Dots.

 

Bring some of the stamping to the corner of the inside panel - cute, huh?

Easy Everyday Details Bundle Card

Today I'm sharing an easy to make Everyday Details Bundle card, from the Jan-Apr 2024 Mini Catalog.

In a world that could use more personal touches and heartfelt sentiments, the Everyday Details Bundle is the perfect way to show it.

 

• The Everyday Details stamp set has beautiful hand-illustrated line art in unique images. It invites the use of coloring techniques or leave as is, as I did.
• The Everyday Details Dies are great for your everyday crafting! With it's dotted rectangles and circles to add playful frames, and elegant borders, these dies give you lots of crafting possibilities.

DOstamping Tips:

• Whenever I use Vellum, I tried to "hide" the adhesive.  For this project, I only added adhesive in the center area that I knew would be covered up with the focal point.
• Optionally, you can color the flowers.  Or maybe just the leaves with Lost Lagoon ink...that would look nice too.
• The Festive Pearls has the perfect green color that goes beautifully with Lost Lagoon (also includes silver, gold & red).
• This card could be used for wedding, graduation or a new job.

Penguin Place Bundle Day #3: Sweethearts

DOstamping Tips:

• Bring the outside in and stamp a snowscape for the inside panel, using Basic Gray for the trees and black ink for the snow edging image.
• Top Hat = punch out the smaller body shape from black.  Trim off both the bottom and the top.  Adhere to back of head and add a 3/16" x 15/16" brim.
• Bouquet = punch out three real red feet and adhere together with glue dot.  Finish off with Rhinestone Jewel.
• I was delighted to discover a 4-squared landscape pattern in the Peaceful Place Specialty Designer Series Paper.  A perfect backdrop for this sweet couple!

Today I'm sharing products from the Fine Art Floral Suite.  The gorgeous Golden Garden Acetate and Art Gallery Bundle.

• Floral image stamping:
  • Stamp floral image on 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" white piece with Mossy Meadow ink.
  • Clean stamp and ink up with Merry Merlot ink.  Stamp off on scratch paper first, then stamp on scrap of white. 
  • Stamp "detailed" floral over the flower images with Merry Merlot ink. 
  • Die cut and cut off flowers, adhere to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• When adhering the Golden Garden Acetate - only use adhesive in the center area where the focal point will cover it up.

Let's Make a Card: Simple yet Stunning Forever Blossoms Card

Today I'm sharing another "Let's Make a Card".  This one features the Forever Blossoms Bundle.

I received the "card guts" from DOstamperSTAR team member, Pat.   I included a piece of Parisian Blossoms Designer Series Paper.   This is what she sent me...

How'd She DO That? Forever Blossoms card

• Stamps/Bundles: Forever Blossoms (Bundle & SAVE 10% with Cherry Blossoms Dies)
• Paper:
  • Rich Razzleberry (8-1/2" x 5-1/2" card base) 
  • Whisper White (4" x 5-1/4" - die cut flower from center and then use for card panel)
  • Parisian Blossoms Designer Series Paper (3-7/8" x 5-1/8")
• Ink:  Rich Razzleberry
• Other:  Cherry Blossoms Dies, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic-Edge Ribbon, Gilded Gems  SNAIL & Stampin' Dimensionals

DOstamping Tips:

• I stamped the floral image in the center of the Whisper White piece with Rich Razzleberry.  Blended color around with the clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.  Then die cut.  NOTE:  I reused this piece behind the DSP.  Great way to save on paper.
• The sentiment is stamped directly onto the DSP.  (I know...scary, right?  What if I mess up?  I recommend practicing on scrap paper to make sure your image is mounted straight)
• We could add one more item  to our card guts kit and I chose my new favorite, Gilded Gems (from the Ornate Garden Suite).
